Although the footbed was really comfortable, sadly the strap around my toes rubbed and was bothersome. This is the only reason for my return.

These are a replacement... I love them

They look good. I have some discomfort from the strap that goes between my big toes. Maybe the leather with soften up as time goes? I do know I would not like to walk about town all day in them as is. I'm going to keep them in hopes of a more comfortable fit as they break in.

Every spring I get hopeful that Birkenstock will make the Mayari narrow in the pretty pastel colors. I love my black patent pair, but sometimes I just want some color! Disappointed again this year. I don't even have narrow feet, but the regular width just looks wrong. I would give all five stars if the color selection were better.

I think I am between sizes and some of my toes hit the rim enough to annoy me. I also don't like the worn-in look of leather (this pair has a particularly worn-in appearance) and some of the details were sloppily finished on this pair. Returning these and I'll probably grab another pair of Birk Arizonas.

As reviewers have said before, this sandal runs about a half size large. I normally wear 8-8.5 and sized down to 38. I ordered the bright pink and returned it, as it wasn’t bright pink, but more of a medium mauve. It’s still a nice color, just not what I was looking for. I ordered the black side instead and it’s perfect.

Received my shoes in a timely manner. Arrived in great condition, still breaking them in but so far pleased with them.

These are super cute and comfy. I had to wear them for just a few hours at a time for the first few days because my foot wasn't used to having a strap across it that high up. The leather is sort of unfinished, for lack of knowing the correct term, so it shows every little nick and scratch as a whitish mark. You can rub the mark out okay, but it's kind of a bummer. That's what keeps me from giving 5 stars. I'm not a fan of the look of traditional Birks, but the insole on these is adorable, and is honestly what ultimately made me buy them!

My EU-size is 37. Always has been. I even measured with the chart that comes with the box. (It also said I’m a size 37). But I ordered 38 anyway, since I have a rather wide foot. This turned out to be wise. The shoes are a bit long on my foot, but a smaller size wouldn’t had worked out. I got the regular width btw. My foot is just too wide for a smaller size. My foot is wide in the wrong place, I guess. Also, I like that there is some wiggle room for my toes in the larger size. I just don’t think it looks great when the foot is the exact same size as the shoe. The leather is a bit stiff but I will most likely get softer with time. The ankle straps are okay, but the “toe rings” hurt! I mean, it’s a cute sandal and I’ll keep them! But I wish they would be more comfortable out of the box. I’m glad I canceled the order of the vegan version of this shoe.

I didn’t have the patience to break in the leather around the toe as it was too bothersome on my left foot. Otherwise I’d keep them as everything else was wonderful. Decided to swap them out for another Birkenstock style w/o a toe loop.

Wonderful, supportive sandal. Can easily be dressed up or down. Love Birkenstock’s!

I love my Birkenstocks and this is my 6th pair. I had forgotten the difference between the "soft" footbed and the traditional footbed so I will have to break these in. Also, I bought the Navy oiled leather because some reviews on the Birkoflor said the toe post didn't hold. This is the stiffest leather I can remember in ANY shoe I've purchased in the last 10 years. Yikes. I'm going to try using a leather conditioner to soften the straps. And lastly, I ordered the regular width because I have a slightly wide foot. I am on the last notch on both straps but am hoping as they break in they will stretch a little too.

I already have this shoe and love it. I wear them so much that the sole is wearing thin, and I wanted another pair of the exact shoe. What I didn't like is that someone else had tried them on and left the box messy. The shoes were unbuckled and just placed in box. I understand that many of the shoes have been returned by others just as I return shoes. My only statement is that there needs to be a system that when returned, the shoes are placed back in box as if new with inserts in to keep their shape. Given the price of the shoes, I don't want to feel like someone else's throw backs.

Love the shoes, but don’t come in 1/2 sizes. I’m an 8.5. Unfortunately I upsized to be on the safe side and now they are a bit too big for my perfect liking.

I’m a size 8.5 Birks do not come in 1/2 sizes, so I decided to go with size 40... I regret it, tried to break them in, but so far, they feel big. I made the $ investment and am trying to work with getting used to them too big.

My daughter LOVES these shoes; however, the sizing is WAY off. She wears a US size 8 so I ordered the 39 (US 8-8.5). They were WAY too big (perfect for me who wears a 9). I'm off to process an exchange.

These are very cute and seem to be good quality so far. My only complaint is that the mold of the foot forces my feet into a strange position on one shoe. I have long toes and to keep them from hitting the lip of the shoe (which is very stiff and uncomfortable), I would have to move my foot back, which keeps it from sitting properly in the mold. If I fit it in the mold, my toes constantly rub on the edge. The other shoe fits perfectly. I didn’t want to return them and risk getting a pair with the same problem on one or both of the sandals. I’m hoping as I break them in, the edge will soften up.

These are nice, and comfortable right out of the box. I don't feel any arch support, they are pretty flat. The footbed on the Mephisto's Helen felt much more supportive, but the toe strap on the Mephisto's was too hard.

Definitely the standard recommendation is a size too big! Go smaller...

Like the style but my initial choice was the Birks with three straps. The black pair I ordered ended up in narrow only which didn’t work for my wide foot so I had to exchange for these. (The chat person said the ones I wanted weren’t available but I found them today on Zappos ?) This is my second pair of the Mayari style and the toe strap feels a bit off. It’s rubs weird but I have a fatter big toe so it’s a me problem, not shoe problem. I’m hopeful they’ll stretch some soon.

I sent them back for a refund because they are to big apparently that style runs a size larger. I'm a size 8 which is 39 so reorder them size 38 on a different website since Zappos did not have that size in my color of choice.

I was having some pretty severe foot issues from wearing shoes without arch support. These shoes have helped immensely! The only downfall is that I had to return my first pair because the side of my shoe was splitting near the toe strap on both of my shoes after only wearing them for two months! I have now had my new pair for a couple weeks, so I will find out soon if that was a bad pair or a flaw in the design. Zappos was very good and fast at taking my return and getting my new pair to me.

Didn't like the white sole.

The straps were a little wonky on one sandal but I’m hoping after wearing them in, they might soften and not look so crooked. They feel different than my last pair of the exact same shoe in brown.
