These sandals are my absolute favorite! The only downside is that they run big. I usually wear a 7.5 and in Birkenstocks I usually wear a 37, but in these is wear a 36. If you have short toes (like I do) make sure you drop down a size because otherwise they toe line will be in the wrong spot.

My feet and I both love these sandals. I had to break them in just a bit. I just wore them around the house for 2 days before wearing them all day. Now I put them on and they are like old friends, so comfortable. I bought them for a trip to Mexico that I'm taking next month, they will be perfect for lots of walking and activities around the resort.

Well - I bought this in June and am just now making a review. I just had to come back and post comments. It is now October in KC and I am still wearing this Mayari! I ordered the Silver 40 (women's 9) Narrow (who knew Birks came in Narrow?!). Oh My! This is by far my most comfortable sandal this summer. First pair of Birks - I read so many reviews (last year I fell for the high reviews on the Frye Harness - those are still not fitting) -- but hit a home run with these Mayari! Even with my narrow feet - they stay on - the toe loop helps - I usually cannot wear a clog or slide of any kind - just walk right out of them. But this 9 Narrow in Silver is cute and fits like a glove! Thank you Birkenstock for the Narrow fit!

These sandals were comfortable out of the box, no break in needed! They do run about a size large though. I am a 7.5. I got the 37 narrow and it fits perfectly. My feet are really not that narrow...B width. I think getting the narrow helped them not look like planks strapped to my feet, which most Birkenstock do.

Another great Birkenstock sandal. I own this in three colors and wear them all the time. The best thing about a Birkenstock/Zappos connection is the incredible service. I have never been disappointed because my order did not arrive in a timely fashion. I actually brag about Zappos speedy (almost always earlier than predicted) delivery and I live in a very, very rural area! Great prices, great service huge Birkenstock selection. Thanks Zappos.

Zappos always delivers on time and it is amazing that postage is paid both ways, if you have to return. The return process is simple and straightforward with no hassles, and they keep you apprised of your orders, and returns, by email. They could not be easier to deal with, and their prices are good. What more could you ask for?!

I owe six pairs of Birkenstock, all different designs. Without a doubt this is one of the most comfortable of them all. They are very stylish also.

This is the ideal travel shoe. I walked all around Spain this summer and never experienced foot pain. No blisters, no cuts. You must break them in prior to travel, though. I wore them for a few hours a day over the course of a week. By the time my trip started, they had fully conformed to my feet. I'd recommend ordering a size down. Worth the money!

Super comfy and perfect for my flat, wide feet. The toe strap helps keep the shoes on my feet better than the Arizona-type styles, and it's at least slightly more feminine.

Love these so much! Awesome and comfy and you can walk for miles and miles in these! Order a size down because they are sized large.

I love my Birkenstock Mayaris. They were comfortable from the start and would definitely buy another pair next spring. This is the first time I ordered shoes online and was very pleased.

I just received these in the mail today, and couldn't be happier! I got the titanium color, which is a kind of metallic greenish gold that I love. As with all other pairs of Birkenstocks I've had, I sized down (I usually wear an 8 and bought 38 in these). I love these shoes. I have struggled with a stubborn case of plantar fasciitis for 2 years now and I've tried everything from orthotics to exercises with no success. These shoes have helped me tremendously. I also wore them touring in Europe and my feet barely hurt at all. I'm not sure they would work for all but definitely worth a try if you have foot issues. I can't believe I waited so long to try Birkenstocks. They do take a bit of breaking in but I think you are breaking in your foot more so than the shoes.

My wife loved this! She said it's very comfortable and fits her feet well. FYI They looked good on my wife's feet too! She's content so therefore I'm content for her!

I've worn the Arizona birks for years and decided to switch it up when I wore out my last pair so I picked these. I'm really pleased with them. They're a more feminine than the Arizona and can be worn a little "dressier". I usually wear the narrow Arizonas, but I ordered both the refular and narrow and stuck with the regular for these. I will be happy wearing through this pair now too.

I love these shoes! they're the best investment I've made in shoes maybe ever. they run large - but that's the style of shoes. They fit your feet super well and look great. :)

I absolutely love these sandals! It does take a few days to break them in - which is not a super comfortable process - but once that is behind you they will be the sandals that you wear all summer. I am so glad that I bought them!

I love these shoes! I have them in three different colors. They are comfy from the first wear, and during the summer I wear them almost exclusively. I order a size lower than recommended, as I don't like to have a bunch of extra room above the toes. Best sandals ever, and I always get compliments on them! They are nice enough to wear with a dress, as well as jeans and shorts. I highly recommend them.

This is my third pair of Birkenstock and they are lovely. The color is true to the picture and goes with almost all colors. Even though Birkenstock says a 37 is the size I should wear (6-6.5) it is too large. I ordered the 36 (5-5.5) and it fits perfectly. The customer service at Zappos is second to none.

These shoes are super cute and so comfortable! I ordered these shoes on a Monday morning and they were at my home by Wednesday and that was with the free regular shipping!

Love these sandals! I think they are just stylish enough to wear with a skirt and look better than a flip-flop but not have to put on a heel. Birks are the best!

My sensitive, middle aged feet (with plantar fasciitis and arthritic knees) think these are the best sandals in the world! I got them in two colors and wear them everyday. I gave away my first pair of Birkenstocks (Gizeh) because I didn't know that you had to break them in. This time I followed the directions -- flex them several times, wear them 2 hrs the first day (preferably when your feet are warm or hot), then increase wearing time. Now they are just as comfortable as my slippers! I hope Birkenstock produces the Sparta sandals again -- I'd like to try those too.

I spent a LOT of time reading reviews about Birks since it had been ten years since I'd had a pair and wanted to make sure I got a style I liked and the right size since they are priced a bit more than i'm used to paying for shoes. I don't mind paying for quality when I have the money to do so. And I'm SO glad I did. I read a lot of reviews that said to get a half size smaller than your normal shoe size and so I did. I have a wide foot and knew the regular would be for me, based on the last pair I had, but didn't remember the size as it had been so long ago. I can wear anything from an 8.5 to a 10 depending on the maker and how the shoe is cut, so I figured that the women's 8.5 would work for me even though I'm generally a 9-9.5 because usually in a "wide" shoe I can wear an 8.5...another pair of leather shoes I bought recently were an 8.5 and fit perfectly. However, because of the toe line/ridge on the sole of the birks, I found I had to get the 40R/women's 9-9.5 because I didn't have the 1/8-1/4 inch in front and back, but mostly because the toe ridge on the sole did not fit under my toes, but further down my foot, basically across the ball of my foot making it uncomfortable. I think you have to judge sizes not only by the total length of your foot, but by how long the base of your foot is and how long or short your toes are...people's feet are different. I ordered mine as a "happy birthday to me" present to myself and am VERY happy with them. I found the leather plenty comfortable. The footbed has been adjusting and molding as I've been wearing them. Once I wore them around the house for a few days to a week to make sure I was keeping them, I started wearing them when I'd go out to run errands...a bit at a time. The footbeds really adjust the muscles in your entire lower half, foot, ankle, calf, shin, thighs, butt...it's pretty amazing. And it takes a bit of time for the footbed to mold, but once they do, you'll want to wear them ALL THE TIME. I'm SO VERY glad I got this pair. They are very cut and versatile. I'm going to save my pennies and hopefully get a few more pair in other styles. Their variety gives so many more options now. Like anything in life, they're not going to be the perfect answer for everyone, but I think they're one of the few things that give remarkable quality, comfort and lasting power for the money. In a time when people expect something to be personally customized to their comfort level right out of the box, which is essentially impossible, these shoes DO actually customize themselves to your foot, if you give them the break-in time required for that to happen while still getting needed support for your feet and whole body, for that matter. Long-winded? Perhaps. But I LOVE these shoes and just can't understand those who bad mouth them.
