I ordered the black amalifi and the leather was too stiff. My feet are super sensative so I feel it might take forever to break in the leather. Maybe the oiled leather or suede would be a better fit for me. Zappos is wonderful-it takes me several orders to finally find a shoe that works. Thank you Zappos!

The fit was great but the color wasn’t as pictured online. Shoe was a super dark brown & not distressed at all like the iron ones were. The box was labeled correctly so not sure what happed there. Unsure if I’ll try and exchange or not. The color I ordered was Tobacco.

I usually wear a 10.5 U.S. I bought this size (43) and a size 42 in another order. Length wise, the 43 is a half size to a full size longer than my foot - the 42 was about a half size longer, if that; however, with the arch supports I found that the 43 fit better with my foot compared to the 42. My toes would've been hanging over the edge of the 42 if I shifted where the arch support was to the "correct" spot on my foot". Also, width wise, the 42 felt a little tight with the regular width and the 43 was just right using the "regular" width. I typically where a wide size when it comes to dress shoes so I think the regular width is the better option for people with wide feet. The soft footbed makes all the difference in comfort, in my opinion. I had bought a pair of similar Arizona's from DSW several years ago that didn't have the soft footbed (I didn't know it was an option) and they were just hard. They actually hurt my feet whereas these feel good - like they will hug your foot shape over time. The style speaks for itself, obviously.

After reading reviews, I opted to go with the narrow width (I'm a size 5.5 in sandals); it was definitely the right decision, as well as choosing the soft footbed. While these are definitely cute, I decided to return them as a pair in the brown Amalfi leather became available, which was my first choice. I would certainly have been happy with these as well. As I didn't get the chance to actually wear them, I can't speak completely to the comfort, but they weren't uncomfortable at least and seemed like they would eventually feel as good as they are purported to!

I love these shoes! They are very comfortable and versatile. They go with almost everything! They do tend to get kind of stinky after awhile.

Already commented on my ordering Birkenstock Arizona and think the footbed feels excellent under my arches, but the problem for me has been the sizing. I am between sizes. Following Birkenstock’s fitting advice and template online does not give me my correct size. They recommend going up if one is between sizes, however I read several reviewers where they have said to go down. Trying to get the arch, toes and heel in correct positions while having it all feel good underfoot and not be too loose or tight is not so evident. That said, I really think they provide unparalleled, off the rack foot support. If there is a store which carries Birks it would be to someone’s avantage, including mine, to get a proper fitting. I appreciate Zappos’ fast and free service and especially their return service!

My 6 year old loves these. She wanted some Birkenstock’s just like Mamas and these match perfectly! My only complaint is that I wish they were real leather like mine instead of birkobuck. However, that may be keeping cost down and more durable than the leather? Not sure. Either way, she looks so cute with them on and can wear them all day!

I have several pairs of Birkenstock sandals, they are the best! I have arthritis in my feet so need shoes with good support. These sandals are wonderful and fit well. My only complaint is that the leather is stiff and the front strap rubs a little bit on my big toes. I am sure the leather will soften with use.

It was way too big for my daughter that wears a size 8. I purchased a size 7 - 7.5 because of the reviews saying they ran a little big but i think they run 2 sizes too big.

Although the historic, one-width, Birkenstock line fit my foot better, I am a big fan of this brand in general. They’re great quality, durable, very comfortable, and are great for my feet. The arch support is excellent. They relieve plantar fasciitis pain. The soft footbed is much more comfortable for my flat, low volume feet (as opposed to the firmer original footbed). I used to wear the original footbeds and after a couple of weeks of wear, as the footbed conformed to my feet, they were very comfortable too. As for the straps, suede is my favorite material. I ordered these because I couldn’t find suede in my size. The black leather looks nice but it’s stiff and will require breaking in. Unfortunately I needed to return these shoes as the regular width in the Arizona style is too wide for me. The footbed was slightly too wide but the dealbreaker was the length of the straps. They are too long for flat feet. If I tighten them up enough to wear them, there are no holes where I need to buckle them. It isn’t effective to punch additional holes myself because the straps come across the foot at an angle. Thus additional holes in the center of the strap cause the tightened straps to gap and buckle on one side.

I had to buy full size down and narrow width - I’m usually a man’s 9M and had to buy a 8N. Great fit now!

beautifully made, the Arizona soft footbed is the only shoe i feel comfortable wearing. The leather strap is smooth and high quality, though it might take me awhile to break- in compared to my suede Arizona. The soft footbed is wonderful and easy. I wore these at least one week in the house oftentimes with socks to get used to the straps and finally left the house on a short trip to the laundromat. I won't give up because I know that when these are broken in, they will be the most comfortable pair of shoes I'll own . Even though I am technically a size 71/2 wide, I purchased the size 39 Regular because the arches fall in the right places and in the 38 Regular it does not. I love these sandals and know they will last for many years, just like my older pair. I ordered my shoes on Tuesday and received my box the very next day! Thank you, Zappos!

These are a little slow to break in but I have noticed a big difference already - wearing these around the house, errands, etc., instead of going barefoot, has helped my foot pain when running and walking. I noticed my foot hurting this morning and realized I was barefoot - ran to put these on. I ordered the narrow as suggested and it is perfect although normally I think of my feet as kind of wide.

So far I really love these! Only one problem so far and that's that the leather was kind of creased on one shoe when it arrived, other than that they're super comfy and cute!

I bought these in several sizes and colors to test them out. I found that with the 36 my toe touched the tip of the shoe so I decided to size up and get a 37. I'm glad I did since I've found that as I walk my foot slides forward a lot and the 36 may have been uncomfortable. I got the shoe in the wide width as my feet are pretty wide. I did have to go to a shoe repair store and have them punch an extra hole in the bottom strap since they felt a little loose. Now they are perfect and very comfy!

I ordered this in the regular since I have wide feet and it fit well. I found the amalfi leather to be a bit too stiff. I returned these and got the brown oiled leather with the soft footbed. These are very comfortable and I am keeping these. Thanks to Zapppos for great customer service and easy returns.

I love birkenstocks. I bought the oiled black leather to replace another black leather pair I had worn out after years of use. The new pair fits a tiny bit bigger, but not enough to need to size down. Footbed is still amazing. Narrow has always been my go to for birks and these are no exception. The only complaint I have is the color. The pair I received isn’t black, but more of a dark grey. I couldn’t tell this from the photos online and unfortunately wore them outside before I realized. I already have a grey pair of birks, so these are a little redundant for me and I will still need to buy a true black pair.

When I have tried Birkenstocks in the past, the footbed was too stiff, so this soft footbed feels amazing in comparison. Unfortunately, I have a bone that sticks out on the inside of my foot, and the strap rubs against it too much. These are going back, but I'm going to try them in suede, hoping for a softer strap.

Perfect color and comfort. I wear a 6.5 and the 37 was too big! I will need the 36!! Size down!!

they fit true to size and width, I think they'll take some time to break in, cause straight out of the box they're stiff and hard.

I like the look of the Arizona style and I love the Iron color. However, I think because these are unisex, the footbed is too wide. I have wide feet but my feet feel like they keep slipping in and out and it gets annoying. I’ve never had this issue with the Mayari style. They did not have this color available in the narrow width so I’m a little disappointed with my purchase Also, these gave me a blister on the front part of my foot below the big toe.

The leather is a little stiff. Otherwise great shoes.

I have numerous pairs of Birkenstock sandals and they are the staple of summer for me. I wear an 8.5 in most shoes but all of my Birkenstocks are 38 narrow. They fit my foot perfectly. I have one pair of Birki’s which is an offshoot of Birkenstock with a soft footbed and I really like them. Just a bit more cushion for your foot than the regular. They fit fine so I wanted to try the soft footbed in the Arizona. Zappos was out of stock so I ordered from Birkenstock and when I got them I was surprised to find them a bit snug. They just felt too small over all. I compared them with my other sandals and I found that my foot just didn’t sit down in them the same way so I think the cushion is filling in the footbed a bit and making them a bit snug. My Birki’s soft footbed are not that way and seemed wider even tho they are both narrow width. So I ordered the regular footbed 38N Arizona from Zappos and those are perfect and just as comfy. I don’t think I’ll miss the cushioned footbed. I didn’t want to try a 39 in the soft because I thought they would be too long. Overall I would recommend the regular Arizona and give it a chance to break in. They can be stiff at first but if you hold the shoe in your hands and bend it a few times it helps to relieve the initial stiffness. Go to the Birkenstock website for tips on how to size and how to break their sandals in. In the end, I was happy to give Zappos my business again and sent the soft foot beds sandals back to Birkenstock.
