Shoe looks as pictured. Fits well and is comfortable. I am an old Birkenstock person, this being my first new shoe in a while. I thought the old Birkenstock were more supple. This one feels stiff and the inner sole hard. Maybe it will soften. Also, the strap is rather stiff and not the nice suede the old ones were made of. I would have purchased the more expensive one if it did not cost so much more. Nice that this one is in narrow, fits a narrow foot well. Not many shoes come in narrow.

Never had much regard for Birkenstock in terms of style, but when I saw the new sandals line I changed my mind. I couldn't find a retail locations in SF but (of course) Zappos.com offered a wide selection of styles and colors. I guessed at size and guessed right, but had I been wrong Zappos.com provides free shipping both ways, orders and returns. I count on Zappos.com as my primary shoe store. Zappos.com is a terrific source: totally customer-focused, a clean, simple interface, and a pleasure.

Love these Birkenstocks! So stylish - I'm receiving compliments from people who would normally hate Birks. The footbed, as always, is so comfortable. I do see what other reviewers are saying about the thong itself. Perhaps if it had been made out of something softer or more flexible? The fact that it's so rigid makes it slightly uncomfortable. Overall I'm very happy though.

I really wanted to invest in some nice sandals that could give me some support and weren't flip flops. I was worried these wouldn't be very supportive without a back strap but they definitely are.The adjustable top strap really helps. Because they are European sizes I was unsure of what to go with. I am a size 7.5 or 8. I ordered a I 39 to start and then returned them for a 38. I have a wide foot and the 39 was better width-wise but it was way too long. The 38 works great. They take some breaking in and I got a few blisters in the beginning. Now I wear them all the time and walk for long periods or distances without concern.

Very comfortable! My brother had a pair of Birkie's so I decided to get some. I'm traveling to a different country, and during the heat these shoes will be great for walking all day! I would definitely recommend these to a friend.

This is the first pair of Birkenstock's I've bought in years, and I really like the style and comfort of this sandal. The narrow fits perfectly. I wasn't sure about the color, but it goes well with other stuff in my wardrobe and actually looks classy. I've gotten several compliments on these. The only thing I'm not crazy about is that the top part of the strap hits my big toes, so I can't wear them too soon after a pedicure. Would be nice if it was a bit more tapered at the top.

I had not tried Birkenstocks before, but figured I would like them since I love Danskos' hard insole/arch support. Unfortunately I could not find the right fit; I have short, wide feet and while the width on these was great I was left with a lot of extra foot bed both in front of my toes and behind my heel. Also, the toe post is a hard-ish plastic and was really uncomfortable; maybe with time it would have broken in? Too bad, I loved the style and colors.

Love Birkenstock for myself but unfortunately they were too narrow for my mother. The regular width was not as wide as needed.

Extra thick leather, comfortable foot bed, but design has flaw. Hard black plastic tab between toes causes blisters and pretty significant pain if your planning on doing any real walking.

I really wanted to be able to keep these since everyone tells me they are great walking sandals, but I can't find the right fit. I'm usually a 7.5 with somewhat flat feet. The 38 is too long there is quite a bit of space in the back but the 37 is to small. In both sizes my feet are too wide and run over the sides and though I never wear anything other than normal width in all of my other shoes.

The color is much lighter in real life. More like a soft sand color. Still very comfortable!

Loved the comfort and style. I'm normally an 8.5, so I ordered a 8-8.5. Will exchange for the 7-7.5 as they are about a half size too large.

The part the goes between your toes is hard plastic a little uncomfy. Sizes run a little large for me. Normally a size 8, but this fits like an 8.5. Also if you have skinny feet, I would buy the narrow width. These are a little wider than normal shoes and I had to fasten the buckle on the smallest notch.

I have Gizeh in several colors, including leather and the Birkoflor material. The black Birkoflor ones I have leave color behind on my feet, even after many wearings. It's really, really annoying. My feet are stained and the only way to get rid of it is to wear it off. Otherwise, the shoes are great. I just wish the Birkoflor didn't stain. I won't be purchasing black birkoflor again in any style.

Got these in copper coin color which is like metallic orange. I love the color and the design. The style is very cool (although not the fact that the plastic toe thong part is black; would look nicer if it blended in better). But alas, I will also be returning these. I cannot get used to how high and hard the arch is; it is painful. and the right shoe does not fit as well as the left. Some shoemakers accommodate for the fact that most people have a slightly larger left foot (if they are right handed) and they make the right slightly smaller, but not Birkenstock Gizeh (or the Naturalizer Nuevo).

Very nice and well made. I am in between a 7 and 7 and 1/2. I wish I had ordered the 7 instead. I look forward to wearing them. Super comfy!

These shoes are great for the beach. Can get sandy and wet and dry out in no time. Great arch support.

I got these because I'm pregnant and knew my feet would need room to grow. They (or my feet) needed to be broken in a bit, since I ended up with blisters on the soles of my feet after the first wear. I don't know if the strap had anything to do with it, but I now have this awful pain on the top of my right foot, like torn ligaments. Makes wearing these nearly impossible now. Also, I've seen this style in lighter colors on other people and think they look great, but the black pair I got is a little "orthopedic" looking. Not the ideal pair of footwear for now but as they're Birkenstocks, I'm sure I'll keep them around for years.

These sandals are sturdy, comfortable and not bad looking either. I wanted something easy to slip on and off but more supportive than a flip flop, and these fill the bill.

As with most Birkenstock shoes it does rub the first day and give you a mini blister on the arch, but then the footpad wears in by the second to that typical Birkenstock comfort zone. The only minor thing I don't like is that the top toe thing pinches slightly, or at least doesn't seem as flexible. Overall, I'm happy. Also, I had to order down a size.

I couldn't believe how big these were. I usually wear a size 7 but remembered being a size 37 (6 to 6.5) in Birkenstock shoes in high school so I ordered a 37. I don't know if it was a mistake but they were gigantic, at least two sizes too big, with room in the front and back. I had to send them back and decided not to exchange.

First, placed order on the Mar 31 and received my pkg on Apr 1. I liked the free upgrade I received from Zappos! I like the fit, but the shoe is a little stiff. Good time to break them in before the summer starts.

I love, love, love Birkenstocks. They're all I wear in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. These sandals are super sytlish and unique, and of course extremely comfortable. The first few times you wear them the straps might dig into the tops/sides of your feet a bit and be uncomfortable, but after that they're the most comfortable shoes to wear. Great arch support for a sandal. (infinitely better than flip flops or cheap mall sandals) My only complaint is that after 5-6 months of wearing them the cork is already cracking at the point where the sandal flexes and bends when you walk. (Near the mid-point of the sandal, by the ball of your foot) Overall, I love them and would recommend them.

Wow, ordered these the other night and literally got them the next afternoon! I am a size 11. I ordered the 42 narrows. Perfect fit, but alas, I don't like the color I picked. So bummed. Super comfy, even the thong doesn't bother, but I can't get over the brown patent. I'm returning for the black patent ASAP.
