These are good shoes. None of that strange yellow stitching around the edge, chunky soles. Not much to the interior. I added a pair of orange Superfeet, and now the shoes seem perfect. Comfy, durable, handsome, what more could I want?

This shoe is the perfect blend of classy with its wingtip design and sturdy with all leather upper and rugged sole. It has a wider toe box than most wingtips that I have tried. The sole is a bit chunkier than I would prefer, but looks good with chinos and jeans. In my job as a high school teacher, I want to look professional, but also be comfortable. These needed very little time to break in [about 2 days]. I wear them just about everyday at work. They can really handle rain and snow too. Give the construction, probably the last pair of dress shoes I will need to buy. Thanks Dr. Martens and thank you Zappos.com.

In typical Doc Marten fashion, these shoes take a few days to break in and conform to your foot. Once they do, however, they are amazing. Much more style and appeal than standard Gibsons, and they are far more comfortable than any other longwing style shoe I could find. My entire footwear wardrobe has just been reduced to these, NB 990's, and Merrell hiking boots.

Love these shoes. Stylish and comfortable as all Dr Martens. I wear a size US 11. So - just a heads up to those with wide feet...these fit a bit more like a dress shoe than other Martens...so - they may be tighter than you would expect. If you wear a thicker sock and have a wider foot, then you may want to order a size wider than normal. Otherwise quality and comfort are superior to most others.

This is my third pair of Dr. Martens. About fifteen or twenty years ago I bought the black & white version of this model. And then about ten years ago I bought it in a brown (greasy?) finish. They were all comfortable right out of the box and still are. In between I've bought many other shoes from manufacturers like Mephisto, Allen-Edmonds, and Nike but none feels as good as this model. I'd buy more, but how many wingtips does anyone need?

They are just what I hoped for. Built like tanks, and full of style. The leather is high grade and stiff to begin, but with conditioner and clear wax they are the bomb. I get on average 6 people per day comment, all positively, on the style and flair. They feel like they will last 10 years, just like my other Docs.

Shoes are great! I love the look of them, and they are very comfortable. They look great with a pair of slacks or jeans! I'm very satisfied.

I'm a big Doc Marten's fan and actually were these shoes to the office. At eight years old, these are the oldest pair of shoes I own! I do a lot of walking and usually shoes just last a year. But these have defied the test of time and aside from needing a polish, still look brand new.

Love the shoes. Remember, they are stiff and will take some time to break in. The rim of the shoe rubs against the the protruding bone on the outside of my ankle. I am wearing a band aid at the rub spots until the shoes loosen.

Such an amazing looking shoe. I have always wanted a pair like this and now I have them.

I have had 3 pair of these shoes and am going to order my fourth set from Zappos. The brown pair I have is almost done for but I cannot get rid of them because they do not make them anymore. Love the shoe.

Zappos is the model of an ideal Internet shopping experience. As for the shoes, this pair replaces a pair I have worn for six years. They are a great classic looking pair of shoe with a rugged outsole.

This is the fourth (yes, 4th) time that I am purchasing this shoe (in black) in fourteen years. I wear them four to five days per week for work and love the way that they break in, take a shoe shine and hold up. I agree with a previous reviewer in that I put insoles in these shoes as well, since the inside wears a bit faster than the outsole. But that just adds to the comfort level over time. I highly recommend!

This is a great shoe! I have owned several pairs and they are very comfortable, durable, and look really sharp. I do add support inserts to the shoes. I would definitely buy again.

Incredibly comfortable. I have 2 bad knees that are requiring arthroscopic surgery and these shoes make it absolutely comfortable to walk. Highest recommendation!

Great shoes, exactly what I wanted. New Docs run bigger that old ones, or at least in this style, as this is the second pair that is about 1/2 size too big. I am disappointed that they are now being made in China, hope they change that soon.

Docs are wonderful, as always. This is probably my 10th pair of them, though my first pair of wingtips, as they've been very hard to find. Was thrilled that Zappos had them and in my size (15). Shipping time was great.

These brogues are great! I am still breaking them in but they were comfortable from the moment I first put them on. If you like Docs in general then I'm sure you know what to expect from these: durability, comfort, and style. I think the brogue pattern is pretty classy.

Shoes were gift to son. They were as shown and described. He liked them very much. Fit well.
