I have run in the Guide 14 and 15's and loved them. So of course I went right back to the newest version of the Saucony Guide when it came time for new running shoes. Unfortunately I didn't realize how much they changed this from past versions. The 17's have much more cushion and a bigger sole. Some people may like this but I did not. I tried to slowly transition to the new shoes, but still never felt comfortable in them, and actually ended up with a good deal of foot pain. One thing I noticed was Saucony's site says the Guide 17 has an 8mm heel drop (like past versions) but other sites say it's 6mm. I'm not sure if the lower heel drop was my issue or not. Either way I'm stuck with these since I did try to run in them for a while.

Buy Brooks Adrenaline 23 instead. These are terrible and gave me lots of pain when running.

Returned. Doles are so big shoe is uncomfortable. Guide 16 is a great shoe. The 17 not do much

I have tried to love, even like these shoes but they absolutely KILL my feet. I don't know what it is about them but it has been a complete waste of money.

Not a fan at all. When I called and asked for an exchange - not today. Might have to revisit saucony as a go to sneaker. I buy endorphins regularly and told the saucony rep that. They couldn't have cared less.

I have been a Saucony for years. This is the worst shoe I have ever put on my foot. There is no side support at all. It gaps like your foot is in a bag. Even looks gapped before you put it on. Limping home from my walk now

I tried the Guide 17s today; I'm disappointed. The redesign no longer makes it a Guide, rather it is now a Hoka. I never wanted a Hoka. I could feel a pain in my foot from walking in it. I'm a runner, and I have tried every shoe and I no longer have any options. I have a very slight pronation in my right foot but not enough for a orthotic. Please go back to the design of the Guide 16, or even better the Guide 15s as the support was just right for my feet. Make the Guide 17s a different shoe because it has changed significantly.

I just tried it on and could not walk given the completely different heel! As your records indicate, I am very good customer but the change from "16 to 17" is unacceptable for me. Please advise Thank you

Why!! Would they change a shoe so much. I have being wearing Guide for years. This is a completely different shoe. If I wanted to buy Hoka I would buy those shoes. The Guide was perfect some stability and some cushioning. This shoe is something else but not a Guide. Please change it back or change the name. Very disappointed.
