By today's standards the shoe took forever to arrive. I don't know why anyone uses FedEx they are so slow. The tour alpha boa took over 14 days to make it through 4 states . Deplorable shipping service. Foot joy needs to change shipping carriers. The golf shoe Tour Alpha boa is my 1st golf shoe with a boa I thought I would like as my snowboarding boots have boas and they are very helpful to secure my foot. I was right, the boa is the way to go with golf shoes too. I'm glad Footjoy chose to incorporate the boa. Now, if Footjoy will make a good decision and choose a better shipping company. The boa synching system is quick and you can precisely dial in the comfort and foot security in the shoe. The boa system lets adjust tightness exactly loosening or tightening as the rounds go. The leather and water resistance are good as well as comfort, the shoe is breaking in quickly. The shoe toe box is generous without being too snug. I've read some reviews that Footjoy run big. I've found these Tour Alphas true to size. I switched to the Tour Alpha boa for one reason, Footjoys reputation on foot stability. I'm tossing my Nike, Tiger Woods, to the nearest thrift store. The stability is superior in the Tour Alpha.

I own two pairs of the Tour Alpha BOA shoes and alternate wearing them almost every round of golf I play whether walking or riding. I find that these shoes offer exceptional support, a very good fit and are comfortable even when playing 36 holes. I have a high instep and wear EEE width shoes, however, I have a somewhat narrow heel. The BOA lacing allows me to secure the shoes so that they fit snuggly and do not move up and down on the back of my foot. The only reason I do not give 5 stars to this shoe is an issue I have with tightening the laces. I have to manually push down the top lace onto the outside of the shoe while tightening so that it does not tighten on the tongue. I also wish the Tour Alpha Dual BOA came in an Extra Wide width. Thank you, Vernon Moore

I have been a boa user for 10 plus years. These shoes are comfortable however when tightening the boa the shoe seems buckle on the side of the cable strings and pinches the side of my foot. Kinda uncomfortable. Good looking shoe . Hopefully the buckling will loosen up.

I recently brought another pair of BOA golf shoes from a different company, which gave me horrible blisters so I went looking for a better pair. Buying and using these ones are night and day compared to the other ones. Very supportive and comfortable and the dual adjustment I find excellent since I have issues with shoes being too tight across the foot, while being too loose at the heel; this solves this. Only negative I've found is the Boa's come at little loose every 3-4 holes, but they've very easy to tighten again - barely seconds! Pricey, but worth it for the quality and comfort.

Most stable shoe I've ever worn. A touch roomier than other styles. The Brannock foot measuring device says I'm a 9D-E. I tried other Footjoys in 9W, and they fit great. But these Tour Alphas were a little longer and a little wider. It's okay. My forefoot doesn't slide around exactly. Maybe new Thorlo socks would help. The thing that does bother me is the top of the instep, where the BOA tightens. It tightens too far up the instep. Kinda hurts where the top of my foot flexes (I feel it on the back foot with each step). I want to cut the top of the tongue away or fold the top of the flap under just to give that part of my ankle a little room to bend without the shoe cutting into it. The BOA tightens down but also toward the heel. That's a good thing; I just wish it didn't do that so high up the instep. That's where the compression is tightest. With laces, you could skip the highest eyelets if you wanted. But not here. My only option is not to tighten so much, but that does make my feet slide a little. (Maybe some Dr. Scholl's?) I'll figure it out. The BOA system is nice and easy and quick. I like the clicks. I'm thinking the dual BOA would have been better for me. Tighten the lower flap, looser on the upper.

I went with a 4 star because I've only worn them 3 times. They are comfortable an easy to adjust during the round( No untying and tying laces). "#sweepstakes". I love how they anchor your feet to the ground! Rock Solid Grip and Rip!

It looks very nice and good grip. and it's easy to take on the shoes. I feel it is a little bit heavy. If it's more light, it's perfect.

I have a EEEE foot and bought the Extra Wide shoes. Very tight on my feet. Love the stability though. Wish I could get custom fit shoes from Foot Joy. Would be willing to pay extra. Otherwise, an awesome shoe. Great traction and confidence when walking down hills.

Poor SupportGreat Support
Shoe was a little too clunky for me, and double BOA adjustment per shoe was awkward for me coming from an Ecco shoe with one BOA adjustment. Definitely a quality shoe !!

Great support and overall comfortable shoe. Still breaking them in but they are getting more comfortable each time. Ridge line by the ankle was stiff the first 3 rounds but has broken in nicely.

Purchased these shoes and after one round realized these shoes are big. I'm a 11 EE shoe size and these are huge. Would recommend anyone getting these get a 1/2 size smaller and stick with medium width.

I have owned many FJs over the years and they will always remain the #1 shoe in golf for many reasons. My most recent FJ purchase was the FJ Tour X, also in BOA for comparison. Because I have narrow feet, the dual BOA is a great option. That said - the Tour Alpha - are they as good looking as the Tour X or the Tour S previously? No. Are they as light? No, these feel like they weigh a metric ton. Do they feel as stable? Not really. Are they still great shoes. Yes. I will prefer my Tour X, but these are still a solid option. I believe the durability and overall performance is fantastic. To each their own, but I prefer the previous generation.

Overall very high quality. They will last and are very durable. The platform is super stable and definitely provides stability on all terrain and elevations during swings. I bought a half size up like I did with Pro SL and found that to be a mistake. A few design issues that could be addressed to improve are the BOA on the heel is less than ideal. Hard to easily push in and out and most people like me who want to pop the BOA out and then use the other foot to slip the shoe off will find that is not an option as the BOA easily pops in trying this. Also turning the dial to tighten requires bending over more due to the awkward location and to get fully snug. I've had several other BOA shoes in the past and the side location is much more convenient and practical. Also I found the design locations of the strings to tighten leave the toe and foot location towards the toes from getting snug. I think this could be improved. Overall for the price, which is substantial, I think I would go with the lace Tour Alpha over this single BOA model. And I would not go up a size like the Pro SL model. But I would recommend trying these on in person and walking around to ensure the feel is right. I've played over a dozen rounds so far, walking the course, and the outside ankle bone area will rub, but otherwise comfortable. I attribute the side rub to having a half size too large.

Owned several pairs of FJ shoes including the Hyperflex. Great pair of shoes as its sporty soft and comfortable to walk in. Can definitely generate more power during my swing as the shoe does not feel loose by any means. Only negative I have is that the back leather strap on the shoe will rub against my heel when wearing no-show socks.

I've tried many low-end and high-end FJ's over the years and never was a fan. I've really tried. This pair is the best I've ever worn but still lacking for the hefty price tag. Pros: athletic, stable, sporty looking, leather is soft, the grip is superb. Cons: getting the fit right isn't as easy as it looks, seems a half size too long, and doesn't tighten in all the angles you may need to feel secure. Overall, 4 out of 5. I will keep these but they are not as good as the 2019 Adidas Tour 360 BOA or the current Adidas BOA offerings. I can't recommend these due to the lack of value and lack of color combinations to choose from in this model.

I have purchased probably 15-20 pairs of FJ shoes in my career. I currently have the ProSL Carbons in my locker as well. These really had promise but like a couple other reviews I've read, the top edge of the right shoe for me - right hander - rubs/digs the top of my foot when I load into it to the point where it is unwearable. Even if I loosen up the boa to where it is not tight at all, that edge just continues to dig to my foot. I wanted to love these shoes but I can no longer wear them.

Bought online, was unsure of sizing, so I purchased two and returned pair that didn't fit. Card was credited with a week for the easily returned pair! Shoes are comfortable, very stable and definitely waterproof.
