I bought these since I really liked the Ghost 14s but after wearing them for a week, they killed my left toe :(

I have been a loyal ghost "wearer" 14 and 15. Trained and ran a half Ironman in them. Now in my first 16, huge disappointment - blister, top of foot pain, back pain, and joint pain. They changed too much and need to go back to what works.

I only tried one shoe on and knew I'd have to return them. They ran small and the toe was hard and tight. I've just ordered 17s. I hope they don't have that hard toe.

This shoe absolutely sucks I've used a lot of shoes in my time from horrible running that were issued to me in the marine corps to nike training shoes I would use for long distance runs which had no arch support. This was by far the worst because it gave me blisters 2 miles into my 5 min run. I thought maybe it's because they need breaking in. That wasn't the case at all the arch support the shoe comes with seems to stick to the sock and rub you raw. That and the way the shoe has a higher heel to toe ratio may be the cause for this. I wanted a higher heal to toe because my Achilles takes a strain from running so this would help me by giving some relief. I love how it fits when I'm walking around but if your in it to run long distances this may not be the shoe for you. Really disappointed I spent money on this shoe and it does nothing but destroy the inside of my arch. Very disappointed!!

Can't find a good place for this shoe. From speed work and long runs to simply casual easy runs I just can't find a good place for them. Even as someone who's had their feet "tested" and recommended a wide shoe the toe box in these just feels huge. No matter how much i try to tighten the laces I find my toes foot still seems to have too much room up front causing excessive movement and more blisters. No tot mention after tightening them so much it starts to hurt the top of my foot where the shoe as a whole be comes under sites me to wear. I think the sole cushioning is adequate but the rest just doesn't work for me.

I'm disappointed to report that this is the first time I've received a Zappos item that appeared to be a previously worn (not new) shoe. There was a pebble in the sole, the sole was discolored, and there were hairs on the inside of the shoe. This was a birthday gift for my husband. (I had bought more than one sneaker for him to choose from). Needless to say, I am returning this one. He did not try the shoe on therefore I can't comment on Comfort or Style because he did not try it on after noticing the condition of the shoe!

Unfortunately the new loft cushioning in the heel pushes the foot forward. I have foot neuropathy and this causes additional pain in the front of the foot. Wish there was an option to not have the loft cushioning as this has been my shoe fir 5 years

It was too tight for me, and I didn't feel comfortable after wearing it. The cushion wasn't soft, and it felt hard.

I had to return my Ghost 16s. As soon as I put them on, the toe box felt small and my toes were right up on the end. I've worn the same size of Ghosts for the last 12 years. Every previous pair felt like an old friend. This one was noticeably smaller. I don't want to have to start re-sizing with every pair especially as Ghosts were so reliably consistent in the past. I'm very disappointed.

Size 11D. After four months of use (walking), the first pair (right shoe) fell apart on the side of shoe where mesh meets rubber sole. A one inch tear at cuboid bone. Brooks did a good job replacing; however, the second/replacement pair is terribly uncomfortable and causing pain at cuboid bone. These are quite a bit more narrow than v15. Had several pairs of v15, and really loved them. Now I am stuck with a pair of shoes that are unusable for my feet.

USED and DIRTY! I was sent dirty, clearly used shoes, and they were even in a women’s shoe box!

The footbed is so very wrong in this updated version of the Ghost. The arch support is off and makes the shoe extremely uncomfortable on my feet. I'm currently hunting down the last remaining Ghost 15s in hope that a couple pairs of them will last me until the next version of this shoe is released. It's incredibly disappointing as I have a hard time finding comfy sneakers and have been wearing Ghosts for so many years.

The toe box is horrible. Ive brought 12, 13, 14, 15, they were great! These however, not so great. The toe box is really rigid and hurts your toes if you attempt to run. I even tried to size up half a size to see if I just needed more room and nope! Same problem. I hate when they mess with a good thing.

Unfortunately these shoes turned out to be too narrow and actually hurt my feet. It is also unfortunate that I am unable to return or exchange because I'm beyond the timeframe to do so, therefore I just might be stuck with them.

Super disappointing quality - I have probably 10 pairs of Brooks (Adrenaline, Ghost, Glycerin) and these are already getting some inner wear. I noticed it about a week after I received them and hoped it wouldn't get worse - but it has been. For shoes I have only had for less than a month this is truly unacceptable. Really upsetting.

I would like see the some gray and white ones like the ones in the ghost 15 for women. The ghost 16 looks like a huge boat on my feet. Not a fan of the looks

The fit was PERFECT! The weight of the 16 is lighter than the 15 and 14. I was SO happy with these shoes until... after not even 2 weeks of occasional wear (I have 5 pairs of Bondis, one New Balance, and 2 Brooks and I rotate my shoes), the fabric frayed and developed a hole near the tip of the shoe, very close to the rubber tip. I am miserable. Construction definitely defective, fabric too thin perhaps, but the shoe should survive normal wear.

I am a high distance competitive runner. I have no injuries and currently in good shape running 30-40 miles a week mixed between distance running on roads and speed work on the track. I only run in the Ghost and have been for the last 10+ years. I can absolutely not run in the Ghost 16. Fit is extremely off. The pair I bought runs very large. The Ghost 15 already required I go down from the typical size 10.5 I used to wear to a size 10 for a proper fit; now the size 10 in the Ghost 16 feels like it is an entire size too big. Also notice the slight charges have a noticeable impact to stride when running and the cushioning profile seems to stress pressure points resulting in aches and stress in the foot and legs that I could feel that would cause injury if continued to run in. I stopped using the pair I bought and bought some remaining older versions to keep running healthy and wait it out until the next Ghost 17 comes out next year. The Ghost 16 is a significant disappointment and has many issues that should be addressed to meet the expectations of the runner and the quality Brooks is known for. I would be open to be contacted to discuss further. Thank you.

I have been wearing Ghosts for many years. I'm not sure what happened with this model. I gave it 4 different pair and all the same. There is horrible pressure on the outside of the left shoe in every pair. I can put my Ghost 15 back on and there's no issue so it's not my foot. I read reviews and some said you need a size larger for this model. I was able to return 2 of the 3 back and I order a size larger hoping this would be the fix. Nope, I now have a blister on the outside of my foot. I am now returning this pair. Brooks makes a great shoe, I'm not running away as they stand by their shoes and have a great return policy. I'm going to try a pair of Glycerins. Hope they work.

Recently purchased a pair of Ghost 16s. This is my 5th set of Brooks shoes. Before this, I went through 2 pairs of Ghost 14's and Ghost 15's. Zero issues with the 14's or the 15's. I loved both versions. Very comfortable, durable, and even resolved an issue I was having with the ball of my feet. Within a week of the new 16's, I developed a sharp pain in my right shin. Along with the pain came swelling. I do not run, but I do walk a lot (20-25,000 steps a day). This was not shin splints, which I've had before. This pain could not be stretched out, it was in a small area (vs spread with splints in the past), and didn't get better after warm ups. It was fine so long as I basically didn't walk more than 500 steps. The pain intensified after 500 steps to the point where I couldn't walk correctly. The pain eventually got so bad that I was taking NSIADs multiple times a day and wearing ice packs to relieve the pain and swelling. Nothing changed in my routine. No new exercise, no increased intensity, nothing. It wasn't until I was going somewhere (not wanting to get the new 16's muddy) that I put on the 15's and noticed I was able to walk with very minimal pain. Still there, but didn't increase as I walked. I stopped wearing the 16's completely and after almost a week, the pain is almost gone. I still get swelling here and there and continue to ice when needed, but I no longer need NSIAD's. I put a lot of trust in this shoe to the point where I didn't think twice about it being the culprit. I've recommended this brand to a lot of people, though now it seems it's time to find another.
