What happened!? noticeably wider, regulars feel like the 15s 2e. That familiar ghost feel immediately when slipped on is gone. And honestly these color ways are so aweful! No grey/oyster or black/blue which have been staples for like the last 3 or 4 models. Hope you have some more color releases asap, even then I dont even know what to think about whether this version is going to work for me after like 12 years of this being my go to.

The Ghost never disappoints and the 16s are no different. My runs since I've put them on have been spectacular and I've been pushing myself to run longer simply because the shoes are so wonderful to run in! (i let my last pair get WAY too worn out...not recommended though you REALLY tell the difference when you switch to new ones)

Brooks GHOST FANATIC!! I've been wearing Ghosts to run in since they were in single digits. I ordered the 16s online. Had to return Pair #1 because the Right Toe-Box stitching was crooked & uncomfortable. Then, after giving the shoes a week or two to "break in", I had to return Pair #2 because the right footbed was to far back & uncomfortable as well (didn't look forward to putting them on). Seems like a Manufacturing Quality Control issue. So I'm saving $60 & going back to a pair of Ghost 15s & will see if the Max or Glycerin 21s offer an attractive color soon.

Really like the new Ghost 16. As always great comfort and style. So glad they have a gray with a black bottom.

This is close to my 7th iteration of this shoe and my least favorite. The tongue is uncomfortable and bunches up on the sides. The heals feel defective. The right shoe heel is bouncy and the left shoe heel is flat. There are creases all over the shoe giving it a old used appearance right out of the box. I think I might be done with the Ghost series.

Terrible shoe. It is so much squishier than the Ghost 15. Used the 16s for a week, and my muscle fatigue was over the top. Threw them out and found a store that still had some 15s.

I've worn Ghost size 8.5 for the last several years with incident. This new pair started out being a bit tight in the right foot big toe. After a few weeks it's stretched sufficiently to be comfortable, but it could be roomier.

The shoe feels a little lighter than the 15's. The heel material feels thinner but it does hold up quite well. So far it has held up very well with no issues.

I was wearing the Levitate6 and found out were being discontinued, tried the new Ghost and they are great from first day of wear. I ordered another pair and thinking of a 3rd! Thanks

Very comfortable to walk in. Not a big runner any longer so not sure how they are for this activity. Different feel than my 14s and 15s, but I like the upgrades.

I have run in Brooks Ghosts forever but this version is too snug in the toe box so had to switch to Mizuno Wave Rider. Hope you make the adjustment on the next model.

Having run through my ghost 14s and 15s, I picked up a pair of ghost 16s at a running store in Dallas. I find very little change from the prior models in these shoes, which is satisfying since I liked the previous models. Slight improvement in weight and cushioning are pluses. The disappointment for me is the uppers on these shoes which feel hotter in warm weather than the previous model, and foot lockdown which remains poor with an overly generous toebox. If Brooks offered a stealth fit on the Ghost 16, that might help them run cooler and improve lockdown. This shoe could also benefit from a gusseted tongue. All in all, if you liked the ghost 15 youll like the ghost 16 which remains the standard bearer for neutral training shoes. There is room for improvement, but I imagine if you have a winning shoe you dont want to change it much.

Great fit. The foam in the shoe sole can make your feet hot. I am a repeat buyer due to the quality and fit. I purchased the gray/black/white. They are darker than they appear in the picture.

Ghost 16 is better than Ghost 15, but nowhere near as great as Ghost 12. Using the high bar of Ghost 12, I was very unimpressed with Ghost 16. Ghost 16 upper is not comfy, a little wide in the toe box, and doesnt surround your foot with that plush feel of Ghost 12. Ghost 16 doesnt have the run cushion feel of 12, but feels better than 15. Ghost 16 feels as if there is no arch support whatsoever. I find it hard to believe that its still classified as a neutral shoe. Brooks, you have gone way off the path. For your next iteration of Ghost, go back to 12 and make the same shoe. If you want it to be different, try to make it feel like 12 but change isnt always good, nor necessary. Dont be convinced by running shoe reviews from any site where they get compensated for their reviews. Those reviewers keep praising every shoe from every company with no conscience! I fell for too many of those expert opinions, only to realize they love every shoe - and get, at the very least, free shoes. Note: Ive owned and worn Ghost 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 15 and 16. The failures began with 13 and keep piling up. I returned my 16 model to the running store and am trying something different. No need to mention which shoe company it is, because it isnt Brooks- sad to say. For the record, Ive owned more than 20 pairs of Ghost in the past, including at least 10 of Ghost 12.

I appreciate the lightness of this shoe. It's listed as only 0.42 ounces lighter than the ghost 15, but it feels as if it is even lighter than that. It makes a positive difference in sustained used.

I moved to Brooks Ghosts while looking for a shoe that didn't cause pain in my lower back, and I'm on my third pair now. Comfortable shoes, and well constructed. Other well known shoe brands would fall apart in a year, but not my Ghosts. Recommended.

The Ghost 16 is ok. It seems to sacrifice some stability for more cushion, which may be preferable to some people. This did not work for me at all, resulting in new discomfort in my feet and knees ( and that continued after 2-3 weeks of break in runs. This equally notably resolved upon returning to a new pair of Ghost 15s. Also, there seem to be some subtle contour changes to the tow box which change the fit in a meaningful way that does not work for me - just a bit smaller in fit (or maybe this is variance in quality control?) The Ghost 15 is imperfect but it is a better overall shoe. Period. I am planning to purchase several pairs of Ghost 15s now to get me through the interval to Ghost 17 (hoping for a more favorable design direction at that point). Otherwise it will be time to start from scratch, to include considering other brands.

These are the best walking shoes I've ever worn. My only complaint is that you don't carry my size very often! I'm a size 7-4E. I was lucky enough to get a pair when the Ghost 16 was first launched but now I can't find them. Any chance of having that size some time soon?

Another great release, after starting with Ghost 12s so many years ago up until this release the constant tweaking and adjustments continues to improve the running and stable comfort. Love that these can be strapped on out of the box and complete a nice long run!!! Keep up the great work.

I was so excited that Brooks was finally coming out with the Ghost 16 to replace the awful Ghost 15. I've been wearing Ghosts for 6 years and LOVED them until the Ghost 15 would crease at the toe (this is a thing, google it) and I was so hopeful that this issue would get fixed with the Ghost 16, but to my dismay, 2 hours into wearing these shoes it happened again. So, if your toes like getting stabbed by bent plastic while walking/running, then these are the shoes for you! And if like me, you're not in that unique group of people, then it looks like you're going to have to find a different shoe.

Quality has gone down hill. Sizing is off depending on the color you get/ country its made in overseas. I had a pair for one day! One four mile walk and the upper was peeling off the sole. The upper is made from cheap materials. Brooks what is going on. Guess its back to my other brand for a bit.
