It's my everyday trainer, and provides enough cushioning and a good feel for the road, unlike the super cushioned shoes I've tried. My experience is that I've been running and racing for over 41 years. William Bond

They feel cheap. The foam is bouncy but the shoe is still too narrow ( I bought wide width) and the shoe tongue is thick.

Prefer the beast for comfort and support, and wish THE BEAST came in more fun colors, like all YELLOW!

Very happy with the shoe overall. I need the cushion and the stability this shoe offers. I wish the cushion lasted longer. I wish they were easier to clean. Not being able to wash them in the washing machine adds a hassle to having them, even if it was on the "gentle" cycle.

Overall a great shoe. Far less bouncy than the Glycerin 21's while still returning plenty of energy. The stock insole could use a bit more structure, but honestly a minor complaint on an otherwise outstanding shoe. I look forward to wearing this shoe on my runs.

I've been wearing Ghost for about 12 years. I'm an avid walker and used to be a runner. I still do some interval running and walking. I like the 16s, but they are a good bit more squishy than the past Ghost. They take some getting used to. I hope they take a step back on this trend.

Purchased this to be my new indoor workout shoe, to include some sprinting, circuit training. I ordered it with a wide fit, and it feels extremely roomy which is something I really enjoy. The cushioning feels great. Only thing I will change it's probably to go down half a size if I order a wide fit again.

The width of the shoes is good with a nice wide and deep toebox. There's less motion control than I usually prefer in a shoe, but it has also been a while since I've run in a pair of Brooks shoes. Arch support could be better. Overall the shoe is light and fits my wide (4E) feet well.

Fit fine, cushion was a bit too high for retail work. Adrenaline was much better option.

They were too broad and would not buy again. My past purchases were excellent. So, wearing the older shoes.

They are not as "road tolerant" as the Glycerin, but OK for short periods.

Firstly, price and delivery were great! This model seems a bit more sleek with a slightly better fit vs. the previous models, which I also liked. I also like the slightly lighter dark charcoal color. I'm a walker, not a runner, but I can feel why runners might like these. I expect these will maintain their cushy feel as they age like the previous models have.

The Ghost provides good cushioning and support. Compared to other Brooks models, it does seem to run narrower.

The Brooks Ghost 16 is a very good running shoe. They fit as expected and are comfortable. They feel bouncy which is kind of fun. The rubber is infused with nitrogen which makes them lighter. They lack optimal support for calisthenics training. They are even worse for heavy weight training. They are great for running, ok for calisthenics, and bad for weight lifting.

The ghost model has been my go to for years. It's been a good combination of a neutral comfortable running shoe that wears well. I like this shoe but it's slightly smaller than my other ghost model shoes. I haven't run run long enough to evaluate its sturdiness.

The show is light and fits true to size. Foam has cushion but is stiff compared to max cushion shoes. Good traction. Good neutral stability shoe.

Good shoe, but I would never buy the Ghost 17 because of the heal design. It doesn't work for me. I told you several years ago to make a stiff back so lazy and older people (70% of population) can slip into their shoes without bending over and tying the laces. Sketchers took my idea and ran with it and saved the company. It has been a big hit for them. However, for Brooks that make mostly walking and running shoes they don't work. You need a strong upper heal design that supports the shoe when a foot enters it. Most of the shoes from Ghost 10 on did just that, except for one year. I stayed away from buying shoes that year. I think you should hire me as a designer to sell twice as many shoes each year. I can tell you which shoes will sell and which won't.

Feels like I'm walking on air. Brooks never disappoint. Not as comfy as a previous model.

Nice shoe, good support and plenty of width for a 4e. However, the shoe is about a half size small.

First off I am not a runner but I like Brooks because when I walk all day my back feels good compared to other shoes. The cushioning of this shoe is great more so than the 15. Seems well built and the heel box durable. It is really grippy on asphalt. There shoe is well balanced despite how it may look. I like that since because it is not bulky. They do feel tighter than the 15's and the toe box seems not as roomy. I am going to keep them hope it will stretch a little. Next time I will try on first and see if may need to go up a half size. Overall a good shoe and I like brooks as they check off many boxes for me.

My orthotics make my feet and socks rise 2" above the shoes. They feel a little snug with the orthotics also. Good value being on sale. Not sure if I'll stick with Brooks in future. I want to try other brands to help my Plantar Fasciitis, but my podiatrist recommended Brooks. Just want to try new styles and designs.

I enjoy the shoe, however it feels to soft inside with almost too much cushion. Overall a nice shoe though

Finer points of the Ghost 16. Good last, fits full and a great price point for a shoe made in 4E. Weak points, Needs additional support in the longitudinal arch area. Replace innersole with better posting. Note As a Pedortbist I sold the Beast and Areal over the past 15 year's.
