This is my third pair of this model. Shoe is great, except last two pairs were size 8.5 and this color (black) was smaller. Needed to exchange for a half size larger.

I've been wearing the Brooks Ghost for years, and found the Ghost 16 to be more narrow in the toe box than previous models. I therefore had to exchange the regular B width for the wider D width. The foot should not be constricted, and the toes able to splay. I find most women's shoes, whether they're athletic shoes or those for casual wear, are very restrictive and narrow, which leads to foot problems. I am impressed with the amount of cushioning, which I'd describe as, just right. Shoes that are excessively cushioned tend to be wobbly and unstable.

I ordered a 9.5 instead of a 9, which is my standard size and they fit perfectly. This has always felt true to me for my Brooks- running just a tiny bit smaller than standard. This is my fourth pair of ghosts as I keep training and racing in them and the comfort and stability never fails! I took these on a 9 mile run for their second time out and not a single blister! I love my ghosts, and love Zappos' price on them!
