I have the men’s in a 9, so wanted to try the women’s in a 10.5W to see extra width helped. The men’s have been great overall, but some days a skosh snug. So far the women’s wide seems to be doing the trick. Hopefully they don’t end up being too much volume overall - did add insoles (all shoes may have them) - so time will tell.

Initially I didn't like the feel because I am used to a softer fit. As I did my first long run on the trail I was happy with how they felt. They will not feel like a regular Hoka of cloud and comfort but Trail running is different. Overall I am happy with them.

I have been wearing Speedgoats for years for hiking, trail running and walking. I usually hate when manufacturers change a product from year to year, but Hoka's change to Speedgoat 6 (making it narrower) has been great for me. The complaint I do have about this model is they wear out REALLy quickly.

The size and fit are good. I use the extra eyes when i lace my shoes for heel support and the laces on these shoe are too short. Why put the extra eyes on a shoe and then not supply laces long enough to use them. I called Hoka and explained the issue and they said my only option was to buy laces somewhere. The laces supplied do stay tied when i manage to make teeny tiny knots in them. No arch support for me in these shoes but i have extremely high arches and have never felt arch support in any shoes.

I have the Speedgoat 5 and love them so much. These are a little stiffer feeling and still have the great support I’m used to. Don’t love the color options.

I loved the Speedgoat 5’s! Unfortunately the new Speedgoat 6’s are designed differently and are shorter , also stiffer. Seem to good arch support though and cradle your heal.

This is my first pair of Hoka shoes and truth be told, I chose this style for the flashy colors. However, I needed good power-walking shoes with definitive tread for snow-covered and icy sidewalks and streets. These do very well. I gave only 4 stars because the shoelaces become loose easily so I have to stop to retie my shoes just once but I dislike having to remove my gloves in cold weather. One other thing, there doesn't seem to be a lot of cushion in the heel but maybe that's because these are trail shoes and not power walking shoes. My previous shoes were Skechers and they had a lot of cushion in the heel.

I usually wear a D width in Hokas but these were too narrow and I had to return them. They were right length and I loved the colors.

I have long, bony feet. There was too much material around the instep area of the shoe so that my foot slides around.

I absolutely loved the Speedgoat 4s. Yes the tongue was an issue, but overall it was a great shoe for me. The 5s were awful. You can fold them in half. Pick up a pair and try. I like more support underfoot and the 5s were way too soft. The 6s are great and closer to the 4s than the 5s. The traction is super secure, similar to the Mafate. I will run in the shoe because it works for me, but I absolutely hate the colorways. Obnoxiously overdone. I wear an 8.5 street shoe. I always wear a 9 in Hoka and it's the same for this shoe. I like a bit of extra length and have never lost a toenail.

Pros: Vibram sole feels strong and gives a sense of security. The color gray and green looks nice. Also this shoe is not as bulky as others which often make my legs look like stilts. I liked the gray/green color though. Cons: The insoles are thin and flimsy providing little to no comfort. For the price and popularity, I think HOKA could do better than that. Also, I need space from my orthotic and due to the dual sided gusseted tongue the shoe fits much tighter and hurts the top of my foot where I have a surgical scar. I also ordered the Stinson 7 and can say the Stinson toe box and mid foot provided me with the space I need for my orthotic. Unfortunately and sadly, neither this shoe nor the Stinson 7 (which is hard as a rock) provided me with what I needed. Overall (except for being too narrow for me due to foot surgery) I found this shoe to be more comfortable than the Stinson 7.

Great shoe, but it's too narrow for my feet, even though I ordered the Wide.

This is my third pair of Hoka Speedgoats, and the second time I have purchased the Speedgoat 6. This pair seems really cheap and is not soft and flexible like my previous Speedgoats. I am wondering if it is a knock off passed off as "real" Hokas. Or maybe Hokas is now just cutting corners with materials because they are so popular and they can get away with downgrading their shoes while still making a lot of money, which seems to be the manufacturing play book these days.

The short, flat tongue makes putting on a a taking off the shoes difficult. Months of struggling with this has gotten tedious. Also, the laces don't fit over the tongue and instead rub on my foot.

These shoes took a while to break in, but they have formed to my feet and are very comfy. The toe box is nice and wide. However, the design coating is peeling off the sides. I like to wash my sneakers to keep them clean. Maybe washing them caused the design to peel off, not sure. So just beware to be careful with the shoes so the design doesn't peel off.

I really wanted to like these - super cute, BUT it's as if there is no finishing on the inside. The seams are not finished and very uncomfortable.

Doesn’t give me the support I want and are too sloppy big. They are cheaply made. Prefer my HOKA 10 which give amazing support but not crazy about their crazy colors and patterns. I would like subdued colors and patterns for every day outfits

I was disappointed in these shoes. I tried walking around the house with them and they felt sloppy, almost too big. So I wore them and realized they are too large. I wish I could return them. Since I can’t return them I will need to buy some inserts to make up for the sizing. I feel like they are cheaply made. I purchased another color but unfortunately it is being returned.

I found the Speedgoat 5 much more comfortable than this Speedgoat 6. The tongue is significantly shorter and I keep pulling it up (can barely get a grip on it). Upper Material and foot bed is more stiff and not as comfortable. I was told by a sales person at a Hoka store that they are changing the design for the next model due out in March because of all the complaints.
