You guys fixed the heel flare but the lockdown still leaves something to be desired. Midsole is nice and responsive but not sure it is soft enough for distances over 50 miles

These are great as far and comfort and stability. They work well for me in technical terrain. But all my decals have come off after less than 20 miles of use. Very disappointing quality control.

Given that you sell the shoes in adult sizes, it would be amazing if you could offer them also in adult colors. Something boring. Black. Speedgoat 5 GTX black had a nice design (i.e. not screaming "running shoes!"), how about a little copy & paste?
Consider this use case: I am travelling for business, and will use this opportunity for running. I travel light and will not be carrying extra shoes just for that. Please let me have shoes that I can take to a meeting.
Otherwise, great shoes overall. Having over 7000 km on my two Speedgoat 5 GTX, I will buy another pair - black. And sincerely hope to buy more in the future.

It's obviously Hoka is changing directions from what they were to the running community. They have become an Old Navy of the shoe industry. Fans of the speedgoat and hoka need to realize they will be wearing another brand soon. I too don't want it to be but time to take interest in a dedicated trail brand.

Have had one or more pairs of SGs 2-5 and these are by far my least favourite. The positives are the toe box is a little wider while maintaining good hold in the mid foot and heel and it seems like they might be a little more durable than previous versions. I really didn't care for the new foam which is much firmer and feels to me more like a hiking shoe than a high cushion trail runner. I also had issues with the collar on the outside of the shoe digging into my foot / ankle. Possibly would improve after a longer break in period but if it takes 50+ miles to break in a shoe that seems like a design issue. Sizing wise I think these fit a quarter to half size smaller than the. SG 4 or 5.

Wish I had waited and read some of the reviews before getting these. I was so psyched on the new S6. Like the way they looked, and even when I initially tried them on in the store, I thought, maybe the tongue was short but couldn't be that short, maybe I was just not pulling it up enough. The sole felt great and the overall fit and style I loved. But yeah... the tongue is really too short and not slack for pulling it up. I mean, these are trail shoes, and I want to tie them nice and snug especially at the top to lock my heel in place but the laces literally tie just above the padding in the tongue so it's basically the knot right against the top of my foot. Not ok. Tried them twice and they are unwearable unless I just keep the laces loose. Spent most of the the trail run talking to my wife about how could Hoka make a mistake like that for such an important legacy Hoka shoe. Not sure how these got past the test phase.... is there a test phase before production?

You have made this into just an average shoe. These seem much tighter than previous versions. If you made the Speedgoat 4's again, I will buy 100 pairs! Speedgaot 4! Speedgoat 4! Speedgoat 4!

Speedgoats have been my go to trail shoe since SG2. Not sure yet on the SG6. Perhaps they will require a bit more of a break in period.

Whoever chose this colorway as the lead for Hoka's flagship trail product, has no idea what they're doing and should be fired immediately. They definitely cost the company millions because these are flopping solely because of the looks.

Hey design team at Hoka, the colorway on this shoe is objectively hideous. You can do better. Try a little bit before you all tell each other, 'good job' and sign off for the day. A group of blindfolded children with fingerpaints could design a better looking shoe.

Shoe is very comfortable but lacks with tongue design. The tongue is u shaped so when u put ur foot in the shoe the tongue goes down, nothing in the center to pull it up with just have to fish for the thin strip that is on both sides

I've worn a men's 12, standard width, which has been a universally good fit for me, for decades. These were extremely tight through the toe box. I could barely get into them. Disappointed as I like the look. On to something else.

The rubber tongue of the shoe is too tight. The show is hard to get on and off, makes it very difficult.

This trail shoe disappoints because it has thin padding. Perhqps it is made to be extra light but provides less shoe and less durability

Always worn Stinson's (6 & 7), but limited availability made me try the Speedgoat. These just are not as good a quality as the Stinson's and materials seem to be more plastic.

Top seam of the shoe started started coming apart with less than 3 months of use. Filed a warranty claim that took almost 1.5 months to get an answer. Warranty did not cover the issue-said it was normal wear and tear. Honestly didn't think the shoe was put through that much in less than 3 months. Will not invest in another pair.

Wow, Hoka took a good shoe and made it bad. I ordered online because I loved my old ones. Big mistake, should have tried them on. The insole is now very flimsly; the shoes are weirdly hard to put on due to the laces. I had to get new insoles. And the colors, IMHO, are not good.
Bottom line: if you think you want them, go to a store and try them on. (You probably won't end up buying them).

I walk trails and thought I'd try the Speedgoat 6. Big mistake, worst designed tongue I've ever seen on a shoe, there's no center to pull it up when it gets pushed down into the shoe. I usually put on my Hoka's and they fit like an old friend, these don't, the toe box is narrower on my EE's than I've ever gotten on a Hoka. I've probably bought about 20 pairs in the last six years, if this was the first pair I bought it would have been the last. Jared Smith should definitely not be getting a bonus this year.

I've had at least 10 pairs if SG 4 & 5. Never a problem backpacking 10 miles (6 ir 7 hours). I hiked for 2 hours and my feet were hurting. I thought it must be a fluke so I wore them a few more times and every time my feet were hurting. Customer service said they changed the midsole and told me to send them back since it was still within the 60 day return. I didn't really want to search for another shoe for backpacking but that is where I am at.

I've been using speedgoats since they were introduced. I can deal with updates but the "6" is horrible. Completely different shoe - Box is too narrow - the new tongue is junk.
