I bought a regular size and it was 2 narrow. I then exchange for wide, still too narrow? Will be sending back. The 5 is way more comfortable.

These shoes look and feel great, but after only 3 months, the outsoles are worn out.

Had to return due to changes in the sizing of the shoes.
I have a set of Speedgoat 5's and loved them.
The Speedgoat 6's in the same size of the 5's are smaller. For me the issue was the tightness across to the top ridge of the foot.

Wore this for a few weeks and the bottom sole started to split from the top part, and the loop on the back of the shoe tore off.

I've been running in speedgoats since version 2. Most notably Leadville in the SpeedGoat 5 wides. What a great shoe. I was really looking forward to the 6 being lighter and a newer generation. Version 6 is too hard. It causes fatigue in your feet that version 5 (and 4) did not have. I've got a big year ahead in 2025 and am feverishly trying different brands to replace what was a great shoe for the last 6 years. I'm just disappointed how this version ever got released.

Been running in the SG hokas for years. The 5s were the best. I'm wearing some old 5s today because the new 6s are too uncomfortable. I have a calloused ankle on both my feet because of the SG6. Super bummed. Don't go transgender and your business will thrive. This company supports transgender nonsensical meaninglessness. I don't wanna leave a bad review but I think this one is necessary.

Tread is nice, tongue stitching fell out after 4 weeks and the padded tongue split into 2 pieces. The rubber guard over the shoe fabric above the sole is also falling off. Very disappointed.

My first speed goat. Coming off altras, Northface, and asics I thought I'd give it a try as I liked one of the two road running Hokas I have. It's like and wow the sole is stiff not quite hard but no motion either. The grip is decent in light mud on flat ground but do not under any circumstances get near anything wet, the vibram rubber loses all friction might as well be ice. Fits decent and I've had no problem with construction quality 40ish miles in.

These shoes where ok for shorter runs but found out recently that on longer technical runs, I had problems with the sides digging into my ankles. I use the heel lock lacing style. With this type lacing along with the shorter tongue, I have problems with the lacing/ tongue aggravating my feet on longer runs. I didn't have this issue on my speedgoat 5s.

I'm not a fan of the new speedgoat 6. I was a big fan of the 5 edition. I hike about 650 miles a year in desert and mountain terrain. I've bought 6 pairs in the last 2 years and down to my last pair that's not a slick. I was very disappointed when I tried them on and they were too tight. I order only wide shoes these were not as wide as the speedgoat 5's. I played them sole to sole and the 5's were a 1/4 " wider

Hoka was my shoe. I told everyone about them. They changed everything for me on the trails. The helped me knees and feet. I have bought 15 pairs of Speedgoats. I have three pairs of the 6s. I keep hoping they will break in and feel better. Two big changes. My heel feels likes pins are sticking in them, and the change from 4mm to 5mm has impacted me knees. Please change this back or bring back the 5 for an option. I need the wide option. Please and thank you! I just bought a different brand seeing if they will work. It's not what I want because Hoka is my shoe.

got to tell you I purchased a pair of speed goats and found the quality lacking. the insoles slip up on one shoe every time I wear them. the go down on the other shoe sometimes. the vibram sole is coming off on one. I've only worn them about a dozen times for casual wear. too bad, otherwise they seem nice

I've always swore by the speedboat line. Purchased may pairs of the 4's and 5's in wide. The 6 feels completely different and not in a good way. Stiff and uncomfortable compared to previous models. Why change something that was so perfect? Now, I'm not sure where to go. I see 5's are still available but not in wide. I guess I have to start over on my search for my perfect trail shoe. :-(

I wanted to like the sixes but had to take them back. I've been a big Speedgoat fan and usually love the next iteration. I purchased these from my local running shoe store and ran four miles in them. Immediately after my run, my feet were sore. I put my Fives on and felt a big difference. I felt the sixes were more structured than the fives and narrower in the toe box. I found it hard for my foot to settle into the shoe's footbed. The fives feel softer. I am still sticking with Speedgoats for my fall races; I am just buying another pair of fives. Maybe the sevens will work.

I have used the Hoka speedgoat shoes since I started running ultra marathons 8 years ago. They've made some changes but over all then been very reliable.
Unfortunately the new Hoka Speedgoat 6 has a drastic change on it's cushion. They are very stiff and hurt my feet and made me tired after 5 miles of running.
I am very disappointed.

How many grams did you save with such a short tongue?? On my one and only run I stopped multiple times to try and adjust. I returned them, I am so disappointed

Just tried a new pair in 10.5 and was very disappointed in the fit as compared to the 3 pairs of SG5 I have been wearing. They have been my favorite everyday shoes and hikers. These new SG5 seem shorter- my toes were jammed, my foot seemed to sit higher out of the shoe, the tongue is definitely shorter- the SG5 tongue was short enough. Although the weight is the same in my size, a lot of cushioning seems to have been taken out- soles seems harder. I love the cushion feel that my other HOKAS have and these have definitely changed. Was looking forward to an improvement, or at least the same quality I was loving. They overall feel like a harder, cheaper shoe now. Don't know where to turn now!!

I use this shoe for short hikes and working on tile floors because the speed goat 5 was perfect for both of these activities. After the 4th or 5th day of wearing Speed Goat 6 all of a sudden the ball of my foot just behind my big toe is too sore to even wear it again. I bought the same size 12 Wide as last years model and it feels like the midsole is too hard and too narrow. I would not buy these again.

I had high hopes for the update, but after a couple runs on rocky trails I haven't been able to get a good fit. The tongue is too short and quite uncomfortable with the upper eyelets laced. Additionally, my forefoot is sliding around even with the midfoot laced tight. Overall, a disappointing update.

Did the CEO's 6 yr old daughter design the Colorway? C'mon HOKA, when you release a new model you cannot do it in 1 color way designed for children. Sticking with my SG5 until new colorways released.

The Speedgoat 6 has a much narrower base which makes the toe box a tighter fit and removes the under support of front of your foot. The material is lightweight and seems to avoid slip when coming down mountains but there is still a lot of vulnerability with this shoe. I miss the Speedgoat 4. That sneaker was designed perfectly in my opinion and wish they continued production for sale. The Beet Root color is also very loud and wish HOKA released other options. Maybe Speedgoat 7 will be a hit or hopefully they produce more Speedgoat 4 models.

The launch of the new model needs more colorways! Holding off on the Speedgoat 6 until there's something other than Sherbert/Beet Root -- the mix of colors is terrible, IMO.

I did about 400 miles a few years ago on an older model speedgoat, so getting back into trails now and thought this would be a trusted design. But I have some bone spurs including ones on top of my feet above the arch. So I need the tongue area to be soft and forgiving. Unfortunately these are designed with a somewhat structured tongue and an odd foot shape with a very stiff area around the heel. My feet hurt the moment I tried them on, and wearing them around for a couple hours hoping they would relax didn't help. Really disappointed with a formerly trusted brand! Went to another old faithful wildhorse 10 and they fit immediately with great comfort.

The new Speedgoat 6 has a horrible fit. I can't really comment on the rest of the features, but since the side of the shoe drives into your ankle, it's unwearable. I tried a pair and had to return them after giving it a few tries. I couldn't make it much more than a mile. I used to love the model, and it would have been my fifth pair. But now I've had to look elsewhere. And it makes sense why they keep on offering it at a discount. The people at fleet feet told me the same thing, that many people were returning them for the same problem.
