I got these shoes to replace my brooks adrenalines during marathon training. I need stability shoes and wanted to try Hoka. These shoes desperately need more cushion. They felt like running barefoot on bricks. Also took over 100 miles to really break in. I would not recommend! Hoka please release more stability shoes! There needs to be more than 2 models for us stability runners! For now I will take my business elsewhere, unfortunately.

Didn't love the style, but mostly I was disappointed that wide for Hoka doesn't actually mean wide. I had to return them.

I really wanted to like these shoes but they were really stiff and uncomfortable. Maybe it's because my feet are wider. I prefer the Mach and Cliftons

I usually love Hokas and thought I’d try this style. They were SO TIGHT. I have to send them back. Very disappointing.

The sizing is a mess. My previous pair was size 6 and perfect. This bought the same size and it's SO narrow it's crazy. So I held on to those and ordered a 6 wide to compare. The width is fine but it's is also *significantly* longer. I can't wear it. Now I guess I try to break in the 6, or return both? Super wasteful. Nobody's feet are shaped like this.

First of all, let me state that I have been wearing HOKA's for many, many years and LOVED them; however, not so much now. Why are you changing what worked????? I purchased Challenger ATR 7's a few months ago and had to return them due to pain in my calves and feet. I returned them, no problem, and purchased my "go to" Arahi's thinking they would be better - NOT! I've been wearing Arahi's for years, last pair being the 5's, so I thought the 7's would be okay. They are very stiff and the back of my ankles and calves hurt again. It's not a "break in hurt", it's downright painful and I can't walk in them - I tried for several days. I would say it's me, but I put my Arahi 5's back on and no problem - no pain, nothing. That's two different types of HOKA's and I can't wear either one of them. HOKA, what are you doing differently???? I am looking at other reviews and people are saying the same thing. Unfortunately, I am now going to try Brooks and see if they are any better. I gave it a 2 rating because the Customer Service was great when I was returning the Challenger's. The HOKA Arahi 7's deserve a "1" rating. Not a happy camper!!!!

The Arahi shoe has been my absolute favorite. Sadly, as I begun to wear the latest version, the Arahi 7, it was quite noticeable that the shoe was narrower. I had read the reviews, but felt the shoe just needed to be 'broken in'. Unfortunately, this shoe only became more uncomfortable. It is not only the width, but more the reduced size of the toe box. I tried to make it work, but now have had to stop wearing the shoe altogether. I'm wearing my old Arahi 6's hoping that either Hoka re-designs the 2025 version with a more comfortable fit, or I'm back to square one finding my 'perfect' shoe. :-(

I loved my Arahi 6 shoes to the point that the tread in the front half of the foot is worn off. I hate my Arahi 7s. I wanted to love them but they were immediately uncomfortable. The midsole is tight on top but the heels are super loose. The 11s feel a half size bigger. The tongue doesn't move and has uncomfortable stitching. I tried breaking them in, tallying at least 40 miles walking and running and they're just worse. I now have bruising on the top of one foot. I tried with everything from slim socks to heavy wool socks and it's no use. This feels like a different shoe.

The souls of the shoes were too stiff W/O and give. Since I walk with a cane, I need some bending when I walk so I can keep my balance. I have 2 pairs of Hoka and do not have this problem.

I have had 4 pairs of the Arahi 6 and am now struggling to see if I can make the Arahi 7 work. The new design for the upper is uncomfortable. I have already returned one pair and wonder if buying a WIDE version might help. I had loved my HOKAs in the past and recommended to friends but now I fear I will have to search for another brand. I liked the cushioning and the stability in the Arahi 6 and wish you had not made this design change. And by the way, what happened to the pretty Magenta color? The light colored shoes aren't very practical for walks on dirt paths. I will order a pair of WIDE shoes today because I am in desperate need for new shoes. My current ones have lost their cushioning and support. I tried the 9 wide and they are TOO BIG. My former pairs were 8.5 B.

Not comfy where I wasn't expecting. Great support on the bottom, but a bit snug everywhere else - especially at the top of my foot. It became unbearable the longer I had it on. I want to love these so bad that I keep trying with the same painful results

Bought Hokas upon recommendation of my doctor. Wore them twice in the first month and was stunned that they hurt my feet. Tried twice more, but they got no better. Haven't had a shoe hurt my feet like this since stilettos 30 years ago. Very sad and expensive experience for me, I cannot recommend these shoes. Two stars became they are well made, just unbearably uncomfortable.

Loved my Arahi 6s and was excited for this update. I am an RN and wore the 6s throughout my pregnancy with no foot pain. HOWEVER, I received my new pair and within only a couple of months saw significant tread separation. I was extremely disappointed. Customer service was helpful but essentially their warranty return process meant I would be without proper work shoes for weeks. Wish there was an onsite way to return and get the problem solved immediately.

I love HOKA but ARAHI 7 is definitely not the shoe for me. I love Bondi and Clifton. Style of ARAHI is very nice, but comfort is my main concern. Although I would love both!!

I have the Arahi 6 with mesh upper which were great. This new version has a stiff leathery upper which hits my toes knuckle in a most uncomfortable way. The toe box also seems tighter than Arahi 6. Its a "no go" for me

These are not nearly as comfortable as my Bondi 8's. These are tight across the top and the cushions is not near what my Bondis were.

I've been wearing the Arahi as my reliable daily trainer since the 4. They've been an instrumental part of managing chronic tendinitis issues that have helped me to run without pain, and I've liked every iteration of them until now. I bought these while training for my first marathon and stashed them away while I wore out my pair of 6's. Upon pulling these out and putting them on, I immediately noticed that the fit did not feel quite right or the same as they typically feel. After two 4-6 mile runs in them, I had painful hot spots on the top of my foot from where the new knit upper was too snug, my heel kept lifting even with the runners lacing, and old IT band issues re-emerged. I'm so bummed because I had intended these to be my marathon shoe and the color way is so nice looking! Now having to manage old injuries again, and bought a pair of Gaviotas which feel much like the Arahis used to in the uppers. Can't return them because I had stashed them away for when I was ready, not realizing the upper had been completely redone. I will miss the Arahis as my "Goldilocks" shoe! :(

These sneakers are hideous. The Arahi 6 looks much better. The ONLY reason I decided to keep these sneakers is because they fit my narrow feet perfectly. These sneakers are made for people with really narrow feet.

I've worn HOKAs for many years. During the last few years I've developed sores on the outside of both my big toes next to my toenail. No type of cushions helped - they all applied painful pressure. I didn't think it was because of the shoe because they have a wide toe box and are recommended for people with bunions, etc.. I bought my last pair in May 2024 and wore them for a month - still very painful. I think there is a seam on the inside causing the sores. I bought two other brands of shoes and found the sores don't hurt with them - still only when I wear the HOKAs. HOKAs were recommended by a podiatrist I visited about seven years ago. A current one said I should put insoles in for better arch support. Now to wear the other brands for a couple months and see if the sores go away completely.
