I purchased this Hoka as wanted ultra cushioning. While they are better for walking running in them is not what I expected. They feel so heavy and made my runs difficult and not enjoyable. I am very disappointed and will use them for walking. For such an expensive shoe I expected more and hoped to feel as if I was running on clouds! They were tight in the toe box too. I will go to my running store and be fitted for the right shoe and have not abandoned my quest for the right fit Hoka. I was just not happy with these! Everyone I know swears by this brand so I will try again for a different model.

Purchased these for extra cushion.but they fit like clown shoes. Unfortunately in my size (12) they don't offer 1/2 sizes, so you're stuck with a ill fitting shoe. My Bondi and Clifton's are very comfortable, it just seems like they added extra cushion but did not taper the front edge of the shoe to balance the height.I think these are going back.

It ok because it doesn't hurt my legs but when it comes to comfortability, will always go for the Bondi 9

Very thick sole. They look huge on your feet.

I love the Skyward x shoes! I can wear them all day throughout a 12-hour shift at the hospital and my feet feel great. However, I find the color selection lacking. I, like many others, use my HOKAs for walking. And in doing so I coordinate the color of my pants with my shoes. It's impossible to do that with the current color selection of the Skyward x at the moment.

Echoing other reviewers. The show has an odd fit. Activates my bunions. Felt too tight in the toe box and too loose around the heal. Also, unless you're running on a track, expect to get rocks stuck in the sole. Love Hokas, but these are awkward and not worth the money.

I really wanted to love this shoes, I bought two pairs with size 9 and 9.5, size 9 was small and 9.5 was bigger, as I gave another try for NYC marathon shoes with 9.5 size, every time when I ran it felt like shoes owns my feet and wasn't fit as one, gave me more fatigue in my calves, so I had to send it back.

Ran 5 and 6 miles in then. too much cushion. Felt very inflexible. Slowed me down. Hurt my hamstring Only pair of hokas I haven't loved. Will only wear for casual/walking. Also smaller toe box hurt!

I need these in wide please! Hoka, I've been saved by your shoes, mainly Bondis, but always need wide. Disappointed this isn't an option for the Skyward X

I purchased the shoes specifically for the great reviews, carbon plate and looks. They felt great on my feet, but when I took them on a run, it was obvious the shoe was way too narrow for me. I started developing a blister near my arch and it felt as if the side of my foot was hanging over the fabric and sole. If they had a wide option, I'd buy it, but unfortunately they don't. I even purchased the half size bigger but no luck.

HOKA... What's up with the ugly ugly colorways for this shoe. It's so comfortable why don't you want people to buy it and look good? Stop shoving aesthetic banality down your customers' throats. Hire people who embrace beauty.

Initially they felt great, but after taking a stroll, I quickly changed my mind. My feet hurt, my ankles hurt and I really just wanted a comfortable shoe for walking. I'll stick with the Gaviota.

Please please please come out with dark colors for this shoe! These light colors for nurses like myself do not make it through a couple of shifts without stains.

These were so cute, but they wouldn't stay on my heel no matter what I did. I was sad to return them.

They were way too big. I always wear a 10 in Hokas but this was huge. I wish their sneaker sizes were more consistent. I have sent back a few pairs for this reason.

Everyone goes on and on about HOKAs but I still don't get it. I have had neuromas removed from my feet but am running more than usual so need extra support. I paid an extraordinary amount of money for the ones above. I am keeping them to give them a chance but so far they are just ok. The pain I don't feel during the run, I'm feeling afterwards. Also, I have very think feet and the width on these is very small. The left shoe is more comfortable than the right. On the right shoe, right where my arch should be, there is a tightness and scraping of the insole or stitching. I've run 14 miles in these so far and again, I just think they are ok. They are also, insanely hideous. They look like giant bananas on my feet. Like I said I'm keeping them to give them a good try, but I don't think it's worth the money. I thought these extra high end ones would be the hit, but so far, they are just ok. I would never walk in them, not just because they are ugly but because they are honestly not comfortable for walking. I think I can get away with running with them because I don't feel the same discomforts while running in them as I do while walking.

Fit seems to be a UNISEX sizing. Normally, I go with the women's Bondi, but wanted to try the Skyward X. Fit is definetely different than the Bondi. Heel box is slightly larger and longer, like to accommodate a man's foot. Shoe is taller in the ball of the foot area, similar to what a man's shoe would be like, so lots of empty space above foot. Didn't want to spend this much on a shoe made for men/women that wasn't precise for a woman's foot only. Sent it back.

So much cushion. Super comfy. Would have preferred a wide option and color other than white.

I really loved these shoes but they are really wide! I do wear a B width but these B's are wide. My feet slide all over on them. Too bad!!! I really wanted to keep them, but they just don't work for me!!!

I'm very upset that the shoes are already coming apart! I've only had them for a short period of time and I use them mainly for work (a nurse) the top of the shoe is coming off! Very sad about this

I love my Bondi 7s. But the new Bondi was not well reviewed so I tried these Skyward Xs. The heel height is fine, but there isn’t any lateral reinforcement at the sides of the mesh upper (unlike the Bondi 7s had), and I felt like my left foot was rolling outward because of this. Also, when sitting the shoes on a level surface and viewing from behind, the left shoe wasn’t sitting flat but was canted outward, which also may have contributed the outward foot motion. So, they had to go back.
