My husband has worn HOKAs for years, including his hiking boots, and he often recommends to others. This model doesn't work best for him, having worn Bondi's and other great models. For some reason, the shoe fits perfectly, but there is something about the heel to toe that doesn't work for him and results in a slapping sound when he walks on hard surfaces. They have been returned to be replaced with another old familiar HOKA model. Great shoes by a great company.

I've only had the shoe a week. I like the fit and comfort. Reviews said it had additional cushioning. While it is comfortable, I find it not as comfortable as my skechers or OC's. Also, the outside upper edge of the shoe rubs against my ankle when I walk. I have ordered a pair of heel pads to raise my heel slightly, hopefully eliminating this issue. None of my other sneakers do this, curious as to why the Hoka's do. All my other sneakers are a 9.5 but I had to order a 10 to be comfortable.

Podiatrist recommended Hoka shoes for my L foot arch/broken big toe issue. We are taking a 16 day trip to Italy (expensive bucket list item) Will be walking 5-9 hrs. per day on cobblestone sidewalks. So I bought these wonderful Hoka running shoes. Have been walking 3 mi- 6mi/day getting ready for vacation. These shoes are stiff from arch to toes, perfect for my broken metatarsal (longish foot/toe bone from front of arch to 1st joint of big toe), allowing me to walk without pain, stopping further damage to that broken big toe bone, stopping the growth of the bunion (bump on the outer edge of my L big toe, looks like my toe is crooked, pushing against my other toes) on that L foot. These will be the almost* perfect orthopedically correct walking shoes for a 71 yr old man with a bad foot, for walking all over Italy! Hooray! * THE ONE BIG NEGATIVE ABOUT HOKA: THEY DON'T OFFER NARROW SIZE SHOES. These regular width shoes are a bit too wide, they will be impossible to lace up tightly in a year when they stretch. But, it is a smart Capitalist play by Hoka as it forces me to spend money on their shoes every 1.5 yrs. Kinda like built-in obsolescence, a strategy to keep shareholders happy with their cash flow-profits. I will switch to a different company when I find a shoe that is stiff where I need it, but caters to narrow feet customers like me, even though it hurts their profit margin a teeny-tiny bit.

This is the second pair of HOKAs I have purchased. Same sizes but this model fits tighter than the last. Still love them, hopefully will loosen up as I wear them more.

Oddly, the right shoe is uncomfortable on my outside foot. It may be me, but it has never happened before. I will give it a week.

I've been wearing Arahi shoes for about 4 years now. I'm on my 4th or 5th pair. I ordered a pair recently and they hurt my feet from the moment I put them on. They even hurt my feet and toes when I sat down. I returned them and bought a 2nd pair. The 2nd pair seems to be fine. I had to do a similar thing last year because of the fit. I think it depends on the pair you get. I'm glad they have such a good return policy.

I have bone-on-bone contact in the medial area of my knee. The Arahi 7 is designedt to position my leg to lean to the outside of my feet (opposite medial area) which relieves much of the pressure normally applied to the inner (medial) area of the knee. This results in much better comfort and balance to my walking. Excellent cushioning also.

I typically wear a 9 1/2 wide. I exchanged for a 10 wide. Overall, a comfortable pair of gym shoes.

Was smaller and fit a bit too tight. Has a narrow shoe box so if the front of your foot is a bit wider these will be uncomfortable.

They were very comfortable. I tried this (wide) size but decided to go with the regular width. From a style perspective, I would have preferred the 'HOKA' name on the shoe to be in black rather than white.

I've been using the Arahi line for the past 4 years with very satisfying results - indoor via Stairmaster, Elliptical, Treadmill and outdoor via long walks & long runs. This particular product line supports my various activities & running style the best. I intend to remain a confident Arahi user for many years to come.

I had multiple pairs of Arahi 5 and 6. I am very disappointed with the 7s. A lot less cushioning and feel stiffer. I will try to get a couple 6s from eBay.

This is my 1st time buying a pair of Hoka's. I know they are a little pricey and I was a skeptic of how well they would help me on my feet but I must say they are great. From my lower back pain to my metatarsal issue they have relieved alot of pain. I guess the old adage is true, you get what you pay for and in this case for me at least it's a little more relief for my feet.

So I returned them. Did not try them on, but I've ordered other Gaviota and Arahi shoes, and they fit great since my first pair since 2010.

It's a great shoe. I normally wear Medium but I had to return and get in 2E. The previous version of the shoe, Arahi 6, was a little softer and it was easier to tighten the laces, but this version is more secure. I would recommend to anyone not looking for a cloud-like feel under foot, but looking for a stable and secure shoe.
I'd also recommend:

My first pair of Arahi 7, very comfortable and stable running shoes. The tongue is too short, needs to be at least several millimeters longer to make the top lace eyelet useable. When these wear out I'll buy another pair if Hoka fixes the tongue issue.
