Good fit and cushioning. Feels sturdy but still flexes comfortably during steps. This shoe size helps with my over-pronation without feeling uncomfortable.

Fit and size are perfect. I feel like I am walking on clouds.

As far as sizing, these do seem to fit differently than other Hokas we’ve previously purchased. One of our sons—we’ll call him Son A—is definitely a women’s size 8.5 WIDE in the Bondis—we can’t find smaller men’s shoes for him to try on locally, so we use women’s wide. So I was going to order the equivalent men’s size in Arahis for Son A by following Hoka’s size charts on their website. But his brother with larger feet, Son B for this story, also got Arahis this school year. I was expecting Son B to need *maybe* a 9.5D in the Arahis, bc his 9D Cliftons, purchased three months ago, still fit, but with *slightly* less room to grow. But surprisingly, Son B needed a 10.5D in Arahis. So we went back out and had Son A try on women’s wide Arahis, and he was in a 9.5 wide (admittedly, should’ve done this the first time, but the Arahis were 30 miles away and the Bondis were right in town). Using Hoka’s size charts, I ordered Son A a men’s size 8D from Zappos, and they’re perfect. I can’t comment on arch support, bc idk how they feel, personally. But we did intentionally purchase Arahis this go ‘round bc PT recommended that both kids wear support/stability shoes. Son A was wearing Brooks Glycerin GTS before this, which were good, but Son B was, as stated above, wearing Hoka Cliftons. Comfy, but did nothing to keep his ankles aligned. We had both kids look at the Gaviota, bc I think those have more support, but neither one liked the available colors. If the Arahis present the same issues as non-stability shoes have previously, I’ll update my review at a later date. Hoping they work out.

They are so LIGHT! From the second I put my second foot in the shoe (with my custom orthotics and Hoka foot bed removed) my feet felt like they'd come home. Wore them through a full day of gig work without a hitch. I LOVE THESE SHOES!

These were a perfect fit for my wide feet. True to size!

I order Hokas for my dad about once a year and he loves them. We chose this color because we were hoping it would show less dirt. He wears a 9 usually and we get him a 9 regular.
