I am a devoted Hoya customer (or is disciple?) so I was intrigued when I received a text about these sandals. I purchased a pair before leaving for our annual Summer vacation in Maine. It was a great decision. They are well constructed and offer tremendous support. I think I may just buy a second pair (especially, if they go on sale). I have worn them in the Atlantic and on dry land. Just a 13great product.

Totally relaxed streetwear switches to trail grip & comfort with a pair of hiking socks. If you even need the socks. I ordered my pair ten days ago and that's all I've worn since. Feel supportive tho not binding, excellent cushion and rebound, light weight, super fast dry, fast on & off. Literally the best three season easy shoe. And my tween daughter thinks they help me look modern, so there's that.

I love this for everyday use. Only thing is the top string that you can adjust to tighten is hard to close. I wish it would slide better.

Comfortable and stylish. I love these sandals not only for walking or hiking, but everyday use. Handy in the scorching Florida summer. Really like them.

Quite literally the nicest, most comfortable boat / wading style shoes that I've ever worn Would absolutely recommend and buy again !

I have 2 pair of these and they are great. Wonderful for kayaking or wading. Very comfortable and get way less debris inside than sandals

I pulled away from Keen Sandals after a 20 plus year of wearing them. These Hoka sandals are awesome. I'm fly fishing the west coast of Florida and simply, wow.

These things are fantastic. Great for the gym where open toe sandals are frowned on.

I started looking to add a new everyday summer shoe. ( My Newports are still great, and for and serious outdoor activities they might be the go to! But, wife is not a fan of the look.) In my search I found the Hopara 2, It has the look and feel of a sneaker, but seems like it will be just as at home on or off the road, wet or dry. The comfort is great. I had to go 1/2 size up. Toe box is wide and provides adequate protection from roots and rocks. The mesh is great for debris, but not sand. I haven't had them long enough to speak to the durability, however, the build quality seems quite good. Finally, I like the look! They don't look like water shoes or sandals, but they will do the work of both.

Bought these shoes for a trip to Costa Rica. Ended up wearing them every single day. Went swimming in them, creek hike followed by a 2.5 mile hike over a lava field with zero issues. Cannot recommend these shoes enough.
As others have said, they do accumulate sediment and need to be emptied out periodically but I thought this was comparable to other water shoes that I've owned.

Great fit and look. I'm giving a 4/5 on comfort because it did take a couple of weeks to "break in" the sole. I had a few blisters until then. It's just something to be aware of. But other than that, I love the shoe!

I bought these for a trip to Costa Rica. Honestly, there isn't a better all terrain option out there and if there is they aren't as comfortable. These were perfect for every occasion.

I owned and enjoyed the original Hopara. Very comfortable. After a few years the back heel strap wore down to the point where it could break any day. So I ordered this next gen version and it's as comfortable as I expected but with a few design improvements. Now the heel strap is reinforced plus it has adjustable velcro so it's easier to remove or slip on to reduce wear and tear. And there's a mesh wrapped around the outer layer which appears to help keep debris out of the shoe.

Pleased Hoka does a good job of keeping its shoe sizes consistent. First pair that needed a bit of "Break in" time. Shoes look & work as advertised. Overall very pleased with the many Hoka products I have purchased.

Bought these for a trip to Hawaii. They were perfect for the big island. From the black sand beaches to the lava fields, in the Waipio rainforest or the top of Mauna Kea, absolutely perfect. I wore my Hopara 2's exclusively on my trip. I wore hiking sandals last year, no contest - the closed toe, excellent traction and shoe feel are just superb.

I like everything about these shoes. The best feature is the mesh upper that is allows for keeping my feet as dry as possible in hot weather. The shoes look so much like shoes, like a casual "enclosed sandal' that I wear them almost all of the time.

I had version one of these for around 3 years and loved them. They unfortunately but expectedly lost all cushion and grip. I just replaced them with these and love them perhaps even more Already took them on several 4 mile hikes. They didn't rub at all and were lightweight and comfortable. I would highly recommend these for warmer weather hiking and walking.

This is a really cool innovative sneaker. Sole is all one piece.. no removable sole. Great for walking on the beach or around town

The Hopara 2 is different from the 1 in that it is more versatile. With a pair of black jeans for example, they look more like a sneaker. The guy I bought these for is crazy about them.
