I had high hopes for my first pair of Hoka's. The ball of my foot is sore and they're not as "cushy" as I was led to believe.

Love these shoes. I've been through three pairs of Asolo Tahoe gortex hiking shoes over the last few years, which I loved for their durability, waterproofing, and good looks. The HOKA Transport GTX has them beat hands down because it has the same features AND it is so comfortable!

It's the noisiest shoe I've ever owned!
It's like I have a pair of cheap flip flops on my feet.
It's embarrassing.

So in reading some of the other reviews I will agree when you walk on a hard service the tread will squeak on the floor which is annoying. That is my only critique of the shoe. The Gore-Tex is excellent when dealing with rain and I do a lot of trail walking so there's no squeaking when you're using the shoe for what it was designed for trail. These are extremely comfortable and I like them so much that I've actually purchased the same pair twice. I heard that transport was a hoka prototype they can tested to see how much demand they get for it hopefully they will continue with this model.

We live on a gravel road in the country. These shoes have been the perfect walking shoes going up and down the back roads of Missouri. They have survived daily walks this winter in the mud/yuck.

I use the (Black/Gray) Machs and Gray Men's GTX for business casual attire. Look great with sport coats and extremely comfortable during long conferences. Can also use them for workouts during business travel.

Great shoes for work. I spend most of the day on my feet as a correctional officer.

All you need is add half an inch to your size and you're good to go. Not bulky looking and aesthetically appealing.

This is my second pair having returned the first pair. To small, and not conforming to my regular size of 9.5, they were way too small for my foot and even this pair is kind of tight. probably won't order Hoka shoes again.

Badly designed shoes in terms of noise. When new, the top toe cover area made a clicking noise with each step as the surface buckled up and down. That persisted for the first 3-4 months. It finally went quite as they wore in but then at 7-8 months they started squeaking somewhere in the soles, loudly, with each step, both feet. With any moisture it got even worse. At 10 months I couldn't take it any longer, went to a shoe store to buy a quiet pair of shoes and threw these pair promptly in the trash. Save your money.

I like this shoe for the style, and it fits ok, not as good a fit as my Bondi 8, but ok. I wanted them for use at a "formal" occasion. The clicking sound from left shoe is a nuisance that others have lived with, and others have returned the shoes because of it. I like the shoe, hate the click. I'm going to try wearing them all the time to possibly "work out" the clicking. I believe it's too late for me to return them, so my only remedy is to too toss out or wear until they wear out.

Betware of the squeek mentioned by the the other reviews, it took a week to develope. I thought those folks were just complainers. I can't wear these in public now. They squeak so loud I feel like a clown. Baby power worked the first few times and now does nothing. Solid shoe aside from that but nothing makes up for squeak.
Also the 12.5 feels a bit bigger than my pair of 12.5 Bondi's

The squeaking that is a frequent complaint lasted all of 15 minutes out of the box. Definitely not a reason to look elsewhere. My first Hoka, and TBD the duration of waterproof value. I’m a happy customer, at this point.

I typically buy the Gaviota model from HOKA because I previously had plantar fasciitis
I can never find a comfortable golf shoe from any vendor, so I figured I would try a waterproof version HOKA shoe and I chose the transport GTX that is waterproof Gore-Tex.
I have used them now for a few weeks, and so far so good. They are definitely more comfortable than the normal golf shoe and the traction seems fine

The shoes are comfortable, good looking, and are perfect for mountain trails as well as flat surfaces. I walk/hike and occasionally run covering more than 10 miles per day, and these are some of the rare shoes that feel good over that distance. The toe box doesn't pinch, at least on the size 12 which I've learned works for me on HOKA (some brands I am an 10.5-11.5). So I'll give the shoes a solid A.
I ordered the shoes directly from HOKA, I'd give that exerpeince a C-minus. While they did eventually arrive, they were lost for a long persiod during shipment - and then found and rerouted. The chat/phone support during the time they were lost was mixed at best and a bit frustrating/unsettling, as was the fact that the shoes took a lot longer than promised to get here. That could have been a big deal had I needed them by the expected date (say for a birthday or an event) and regardless I would have hoped for some follow up apologizing/recognizing the delay.

Transport GTX size 11.5 wide. Second pair of new Hoka shoes since purchasing 3 Bondi 8 the last 2 1/2 years. So I took a chance with a new style besides Bondi 8. When I first put on the shoes and walked around inside the house I knew it was a good fit. No issues, no complaints on my first walk outdoors. I walk every morning for 4-5 miles. A lighter shoes than my Bondi 8's.

I buy the men's model as I need a wider fit all around. Great for where I walk through the woods and in meadows that can be wet. Only wish there were better color choices in this model and a little more "gender blind" when choosing colors".

These are great, comfortable sneakers for every day use. They're well made and attractive and I like their easy lacing system which makes them easy to take off and put on without having to tie a knot. I also assume the laces will last longer than regular cotton ones, probably as long as the sneakers themselves hold up.

I own two other pair of Hokas (Bondi 8 and Bondi 9) - these are quite as cushy as those but still very comfortable and waterproof- which is why I bought them.
