The fit was different than my shoes from this brand.
I did size down as was recommended.
The width was narrow above the arch.
The footbed material was stiff.
The foot bed felt like the original Earthshoe brand.
The quality and look of the item were exactly as pictured.
It may be that this is the wrong shoe for my foot.

Excited to get the shoes but they were not comfortable. The design on the bottom was abrasive to my foot. Shoes were returned. Still waiting on my refund.

I bought these because I like my Hoka recovery sandals and running shoes. I was looking for a better shoe to wear for a canoeing and camping trip in the BWCA. There are all conditions - gravel, rocks, grass and water. I wore them on a test hike and these shoes exceeded my expectations! They were comfy while walking and gave me good stability when walking over wet, slippery rocks. I took the advice from other reviews and bought a half size smaller than my running shoes. This was good advice as my foot fits like Cinderella's in the glass slipper. I did get a blister but didn't even notice for several hours after I got home.

I loved Hoka Hopara 2, super comfortable! However, despite the fact that I had ordered half a size smaller, they were still too large and wide for me. I am sad that I have to return them.

I was very disappointed that the shoe did not fit. The length was fine, but shoe was too wide to provide foot stability.

I wanted to really like these sandals...as I love the Hoka Arahis I have. Since these were closed sandals I ordered them in size 7, same as what I wear in the Arahi 6 and 7. I found these sandals a really weird fit. While the toe felt scrunched there was too much length in the heel end. I feared if I ordered them smaller they would crunch my toe more, not being offered in a wide. Other wise I felt they gave decent support for my overpronating and flat feet. I could even wear my orthopedic insole if I wanted to without them slipping out as they do with open sandals. I ordered the cream/cedar color with they thought they go with all colors of shorts......not sure if it was the size as in too long but I opened these up thinking "these are some ugly shoes".......i do think they might have looked better in a smaller size and that look wouldn't have phased me if they were comfortable on my feet. I use to wear Keens but got tired of their hard foot beds, plus they started making them a bit more narrow and I like a wide toe box.

The 1st pair was such a great fit- I bought 2 more! We just relocated from the PNW to FL and I needed FL shoes! Normally wear a 7.5w - so I bought an 8 just to be sure & it was the right decision, I live in these!

These had great arch support for me. I have knocked knees and over pronation, it’s a mess when walking! Anyway, these feel great on my feet and help my knees. I bought them in anticipation of our up and coming vacation and they will work great! I got the color illusionist/ amethyst in a women’s 10 and fit true to size. I slipped another pair in the picture I bought, those were for my husband and he got a mens 9 with worked well for him and the color was barley and oat milk, they are more muted in color than the online pictures so. More of a muted olive and gray color, they look really good.

I have really bad feet and wear custom orthotics. I had given up on wearing sandals in the summer since my feet and ankles hurt without my orthotics. My orthotics fit perfectly in these since the heel is cupped and with the tab on the back the orthotics can't slide out. YAY!!! They are grippy and super comfortable. I would buy these in more colors. I'm so happy I will have cool feet this summer.

Had a long weekend of walking and decided to wear the shoe for my 12 plus hours on the move daily for the weekend. Best decision. Loved the comfort , no pain and felt like cloud walking all day

These shoes are exactly what I was wanting…A closed-toe sandal that is breathable and can be worn to hike in. Very lightweight, but durable with great cushion, sticky traction, and extreme breathability. Very cute too! The toe box is wide, which I appreciate…gives my toes room to wiggle and breathe. Be advised that they do run slightly big. I wear an 8-8.5 in all other Hokas. The 7.5 in these fits perfect.

I recently purchased a pair of hopara 2 in shifting sand on your website. The delivery was quick, looks as expected but the left n right shoes were slightly different colours and the v shape at top of shoe weren't symmetrical. Also, the right shoe insole inner part felt slightly more painful vs the left. I've reordered in hopes it was just a bad batch. I have pics for reference.

When I saw these shoes, I loved them. I ordered the 9.5 but my toes were touching the front of the shoe. I returned them and ordered the size 10 because I wanted more toe room. My toes were touching the front in the size 10 but the heel had about an inch of space. The fit was off so I had to return them. I ended buying a totally different sneaker from the Hoka store where I could try them on.

I love a wide toe box but these were way too wide. Looked like clown shoes.

There are so many things to like. The elastic around the top to keep dirt and sand from coming in the top. The mesh is well made and fine. The back is open but I really have not had as many issues with debris coming into the sandal from the heel.
But the ankle was just too large and so was the footbed.
I have the Hoka trail model and running shoes and I love them this just did not fit my foot.
The shoe fit the length but no where else.

I purchased these sandals for work during the warmer months. I walked approximately five miles with no break in period, taking the city bus and trolley while instructing students with "travel training" on how to use mass transit in San Diego. Love these sandals < 3
