These are my first pair of Hoka shoes, and the shoes are a disappointment. Fit-wise, they are typical for the size. This style is a breathable mesh with an open heel and a strap, indicating more of a summer use. I just find the sole and mesh uncomfortable to wear without socks- a sort of abrasive feeling all around the foot. The foot bed is not very soft, but the support is adequate. There is zero feeling of walking in a cloud or a soft cushioned support. They are heavier than I expected as well. For the price point (even on clearance) this shoe is absolutely not worth it. I would not buy them again, but not so bad that I want to bother with returning them.

Love the look and feel of these over the Hopara, but they are much less supportive. I'm a supinator and hypermobile, with metatarsals that like to sublux, so I need house shoes. I'd hoped these would be it. Sadly, they didn't feel very supportive and the soles were almost thin. If you used these outdoors, you'd feel every rock digging into your feet. Maybe that's a plus when stomping around a riverbed, but probably not anywhere else.

I purchased my normal size 7 1/2 and the size is ok. Next size up, my foot felt like it was swimming in them. After only a short distance, both sandals started to rub right underneath my ankle bones and took off the skin. Unfortunately, I had to keep walking in them and by the time I took them off, they were bloodied. Since they are meant to be worn without socks, there's not much I can do about it other than tapping my ankles in the future. Other than that, they are comfortable and I really want to love them. Well, I can't return them so I might as well make them work somehow.

Ordered by mail. Was expecting them to fit similar to my new Bondi 9's but these were very wide. Unfortunately had to return.

Just learned from looking back at my previous orders that I ordered the size too large and will now see if I can get an exchange.

The, these second generation Hope era hookers do not have the same qualities of the first. The fit is not snug and the material is different. I gave them good try more than once and I love the color but other than that I couldn't find anything positive about them!

I anticipated the Hopara 2 would be at least somewhat cushioned. They really aren't. They also are VERY wide. I was hoping they would be something I could wear without socks, but the width will not allow that. I am disappointed with the purchase, but will figure out a way to use them (Other than my original plan for use).

I really wanted to like this shoe, but I wear orthotics and they did not work.

I feel the arch support is less, and the toe box feels more flimsy in the new version. In addition to the elastic lace in front, there's an adjustable velcro on the back which makes it so much more annoying to put on. I usually put on and take off my hoparas multiple times a day so it adds a big pain

This is my first pair of Hokas and so far I am not impressed. I purchased this style so I could wear them barefoot; however, I dislike the feel of the footbed against bare feet feels like plastic/rubber to me. It makes my feet sweat. I tried wearing them barefoot numerous times and could not get to like it. Having paid for them I want to try to wear them so I wear socks in them. Defeats the point of buying this particular style.

Just rubbed my feet the wrong way even when wearing socks. I really had high hopes for these shoes. It might fit someone else with normal feet i suppose . But I don't see how this show can be worn comfortably for anyone without socks .

I enjoyed the shoe and found it comfortable, but was unable to really test it out because the velcro strap came unstitched when removing the shoe the first time. I return the shoe and am now trying out the women's transport.

I bought these expecting to love them as I have 6 pairs of Hokas (Bondi 8, Arahi 6, Speedgoat 5) and love them... Especially after a calcaneal fracture last December 1, wearing a pair that my Ortho thinks saved me from shattering my leg. #1 issue... I wrote to Hoka abd sadly never heard anything back. Very disappointed. Then I bought these sandals at a small independent shoe store I loved, but before I could really decide if I loved them, he decided to retire and close the store. When I did start to wear them, they are HUGE. I bought my 9.5... my foot swims in these. I could never wear them because after my tripping accident I am very leery of how shoes fit. My foot easily goes back and forth and they make me afraid I will trip and fall again. I might be ok with a thick ped on, but what's the purpose of being able to get them wet if I need a sock??? So they did but go to Aruba, and even tho I kept trying them, I am super disappointed and they are pretty expensive to be stuck with and sitting in my closet. I am sad and furious... I did get my husband a pair too and he's fine with them. I have "introduced" and gotten 6-8 people wearing Hokas. I am a huge fan, but these have left a butter taste in my mouth Btw, how about you update your online quiz to determine the best models, because nothing new is in the mix. I'd love to be contacted...

Have to return. I usually wear an 8.5 but my toes hit the hard front. Would have been ok in a 9.5.

I wore out my Hopara's so got the Hopara 2. They are comfy and easy to wear for walking etc. BUT, if you're walking in water or a dirt/forest trail, these sandals trap every pebble, stick and pine needle around. Because of the "cover" on the toe box, those little foot irritants can't escape. It's painful and annoying. Disappointed but I still wear them.

Shoes run large, feet feel loose and not protected from blisters if I were to wear them hiking. With socks more secure. They kind of feel like plastic which I would never wear. Disappointed.

the shoe is too wide. I have a normal med width foot and my feet were swimming in it. I have to tighten it as far as it can be tightened and then the "tongue" part gets folded and causes irritation at the top of my foot. My normal Hoka size is 8 and the 8 length fit properly.

I was very disappointed that the shoe did not fit. The length was fine, but shoe was too wide to provide foot stability.

There are so many things to like. The elastic around the top to keep dirt and sand from coming in the top. The mesh is well made and fine. The back is open but I really have not had as many issues with debris coming into the sandal from the heel. But the ankle was just too large and so was the footbed. I have the Hoka trail model and running shoes and I love them this just did not fit my foot. The shoe fit the length but no where else.

I was honestly disappointed. I was expecting them to be light weight and they are a little heavy for me. I have hip and back problems so I was hoping for very light weight
