I love these, I use my arch supports in them and my feet dont hurt after 6 miles. I tried many different brands and this is a first with no pain. Im very happy with these.

They run small. I should have ordered a 1/2 size larger than my normal. Couldn't return so had to sell them to a coworker at 50% loss.

A bit disappointed. I had size twelve Merrills (Alta-light brand); I got great use of them and eventually wore them down. When I went to buy a new pair, I bought the Moab 3 Mid Gore-Tex in size 12.5. How can it be that these 12.5 are tighter than my prior Merrill which was size 12. So in short this product has issue with sizing

It was time to replace my old Merrells. Because I liked my last pair so much, I decided to buy them again. Only this time I upgraded to the GORE-TEX version. Happy I did! I wear them almost everyday, they offer the support and comfort I need.

I recently purchased a pair of Moab 3 Mid GORE-TEX boots for a trip to the UK, France, Belgium and Germany. Anyone that has travel Europe extensively knows the roadways and walkways are frequently cobble stone based or other materials that make walking somewhat difficult and hazardous at times. I had about two weeks of everyday wear to break them in prior to my departure so I was a bit concerned that I might experience discomfort from wearing a new boot for the 28 day trip. After weeks of walking tours, trail hiking in some rainy conditions I am pleased to report that they were the most comfortable boots that I have ever owned. The appearance of the boot was like new after travelling through some difficult and wet weather. I used a small bristle bush to scuff off the dirt and grime and the a cloth to remove the remaining residue. I fully expected to have a blister or two and I did not have a single blister through the tri[p. This is a very comfortable and durable boot and should be on your list of considerations.

Lifelong wearer of Chameleons and thought I would give these a try. Comfortable out of the box, true to size and look good, but every step I take is accompanied by a noticeable "Thwup" sound coming from the front of the left shoe. The sound seems to come from the fabric at the top of the toe box springing back into shape after being bent when taking a step. I disproved the theory if the sound coming from the insoles by powdering, and then replacing them with a gel insole, but the sound remains. If you bend the shoe by hand, you can hear it from the toe box. My hope is that it will go away after time, but another review I saw said that they still got the sound after a couple of months of wear. It may be okay on the trail, but in a store I announce I am coming to anyone in the area and it's embarrassing.

these boots you can wear right out of box. Most comfortable hiking boots I have had. Week after they arrived went on a hike and they felt like I had been wearing them for years

I own several Merrell products and Im always happy with the value and quality. However these shoes seem to be an exception. I broke them in for a few weeks then took them on a several day long hiking trip. After the trip i had the WORST blisters I have ever had. Ive been hiking my whole life with many different boots and Ive never experienced anything like this. I sadly would not recommend these boots for longer hikes. They seemed comfy enough for daily use but I would not rely on these for a hike again.
Disappointed,

I'm no stranger to the Moab family of boots/shoes, and after a month in these I've found that they're good for trails, the office and in the snow. To each their own, but I prefer the GORE-TEX sets because they last a little longer for in my hands with regular use and in soggy/wet conditions (but will also stand up to the southwest heat very well). With recent snow in the mid-west I was able to give them a 10-mile test where they proved how comfortable they are: dry, warm and keeps traction.
These Moab 3 Mid's have held up to the same expectations I've had of other shoes, and I'd recommend to anyone.

Very disappointed in this boot. I have previously bought several pairs ofMerrill hiking boots, always have had very accurate and comfortable fit. This is one of the more expensive pairs I’ve purchased and the 1st time I’ve had a problem

I have used the Merrell brand for many year. I have climbed all of the Co14ers and Mt. Kilimanjaro with these boots. The Moab boot is a well made boot for all types of trails. You cannot go wrong with this brand or boot.

Too low at the ankle. The boys rubbed my ankle bone and I felt the arch was too hard. Not super comfortable like keen.. I wish they were because of the gortex. But I rather have comfort than gortex.

I bought these boots for my husband. He says they are comfortable but NOT waterproof. Disappointing since the waterproof feature was the main reason we got them

I want to love these, but I don't. They are super hard compared to my Keens from last season. Hoping they will break in over time, but my Keens were never this hard at the get go and are just as supportive.

Unfortunately it seems like all of cushion and cloud like feeling of the merrel 2 has been removed. Hopefully the tread will last longer than the 2s. I had 126 miles of north east hiking and lost large chunks of the souls on the 2. The 3 seem like they have good grip, and have been waterproof, but only have 20 miles on them.

This is my 3rd paid of Merrell mid-hiking boots. I currently have 2 pair of Moab 2 mid boots, waterproof and non-waterproof, and I alternate wearing them depending on the weather and time of year. I purchased the Merrell Moab 3 Mid Gor-Tex for better waterproofing. While the construction of the boot is excellent, I find that the boot length is slightly smaller than the Moab 2. The bigger issue I have found is the comfort of this boot. My other Merrells were comfortable out of the box. I can and do wear them all day with any issues, not so with the Moab 3. I have been breaking them in over the past few weeks and they are still somewhat uncomfortable. The Moab 3 has a firm foot bed and the liner material is hard and uncomfortable which I think is the issue. I've compared the 2 liners and found that the liners in the Moab 2 provide more cushioning than the Moab 3 liners. I think Merrell boots are an excellent product in general, I am somewhat disappointed with the Moab 3.

Bought these last year, but just started wearing them. Quite comfortable right from the get go, however after only 2 weeks of wear one of the material eyelets broke. Now just waiting for the rest of them to break or tear. I will not be buying Merrell footwear with these type of eyelets ever again. I do not recommend these to other consumers.
