They were fine for a few months, but then the left shoe developed some kind of bump that irritated the back of my heel to the point where I can no longer wear these at all. Not sure if it's just this shoe, or I can no longer trust the brand. Annoying that I got less than a year out of this shoe.

Well fitting and comfortable but do not stand up to daily wear. I have had these not even 18 month with the interior fabric now ripped around the heel in one shoe and both have lost a lot of their usable tread. For the price I would have liked to have gotten more life out of them.

I have bought multiple pairs of Merrell boots and sneakers in the past, always in size 11. While they didn't all fit perfectly, they were, generally comfortable and attractive shoes. The Merrell Moab 3 GTX, however, has been a disaster. The shoe looks great, but size 11 fits like size 10 (toe cap jammed up against my toes), size 12 is too large so it quickly developed a strange vertical crease in the soft material on top of the shoe that looked horrible, and size 11.5 is "ok" without socks but, with socks, the toe cap feels almost as tight as size 11 (again, size 11 has been my normal size with Merrells for years) and there's a bizarre and irritating coarse section of the lining right near my heel that makes every step slightly unpleasant (and unwearable without socks - even with socks, though, you can feel it). This shoe is a disaster - avoid it.

These are normally my go-to hiking shoes. I must be on my fourth or fifth pair of Moab's. But this pair, that I've had for less than a month, have been a disappointment. The front rubber toe guard has already separated from the top black portion of the shoe. This happened to the right shoe no more than a week after getting the shoes. Now, the left shoe is showing signs of the same. I still wear them everyday on my morning hikes and they still keep my feet dry while crossing the streams, but really, is this MERREL at it's best?

I've used the previous version of this shoe and loved it for years. But I've now tried 3 pairs of Moab 3 GoreTex and every time the tongue on the right shoe is cut funny. It becomes quite uncomfortable on that one foot.

I think something changed with this brand. I had bought them previously and loved them. The current model is VERY uncomfortable. I tried different sizes and finally settled with one but after months of wearing them the fit actually got worse. I gave it my best shot but I hate these shoes. I'm only hoping I can still exchange them for something else.

Merrell's Moab Ventilators were awesome years ago. Unfortunately every Merrell shoe I've tried since then has been garbage. The arch support in these is in the wrong place. It's like walking on Legos.

The left shoe has some sort or a bump on the rear heel, making it to rub on the heel. Had to return it. Fix this!!

Poorly designed, must wear heavy duty socks otherwise seams irritate heal. Unfortunately, only pair of shoes I had in Iceland so had to suffer for the week and improvise.
