I bought these boots for light hiking and did get the waterproof version. I wore them twice and found them to be too hot for me. I had thought they might have a waterproof lining like Gortex which would not be hot. But I discovered the uppers is made of a plastic-like material which doesn't breathe and doesn't give like leather. I also would prefer a wider to box.

Veey good shoe. Wore it in Scotland on a few hikes with little break in time. Was completely water proof and comfortable. A little heavy but no complaints. Would recommend.

These are very good, well made, very durable hikes. The only problem is that they are a little on the heavy side, but that just may be the trade off for solid built durable shoes. I have a very narrow foot so they were also too "roomy" for me, which happens in most shoes I buy so I put in an extra insole.

Looks were good. The toe material felt thin and not comfortable for my feet.

The top of the shoe on the left foot rubs my ankle bone! I am trying to use inserts to raise my foot inside of the shoe to stop this issue. If that doesn't work i guess I'm screwed.

I purchased these shoes very recently. Hiking today ( I live on MDI) I learned that the soles do not have the level of traction typical for an upscale boot. These were not expensive so I have learned my lesson. The shoes are very comfortable and not too ugly. Look like they will hold up. Just not good for hiking on wet granite.

I bought them for rain for a trip to Ireland. They were awkward and clunky. I wore them for a whole day of sightseeing in the bottom of my feet were burning. I don't usually have problems with shoes.
