I purchased them to hike and bike in The Netherlands last Spring and just love them. The fit was perfect from the start. They are excellent on slick/wet surfaces. I have hiked in them through Italy, France and Portugal. There is minimal wear on the soles. They have become my everyday shoes.

As my exercise routing has shifted from running to walking and hiking, I was looking for a sturdier shoe that provided better lateral support on uneven terrain. These hikers are just what I was looking for, they were comfortable from the first wearing and my feet and legs are not tired or sore after long walks.

These are sturdy, well made hiking shoes. I've put about 15 miles of UP trail hiking on them so far and a comparable number of street miles. They need a little time for break in. I have a problem with mild plantar fasciitis. I will say these are lacking in arch support. I inserted my orthotics easily by pulling out the stock liners. With the inserts that are great. I can't comment on the waterproofing but I will say they are warm. I would definitely buy them again.

An excellent three-season hiker. Good fit; the tread is aggressive and tends to pick up mud but is easily cleaned with a stiff bristled brush.

Great fitting shoe. Great fit. Defintely waterprof. I expect the same long life i get from been duck boots

I needed a hiker without getting into a big boot and this one does what I wanted. Feels very solid and stable while still comfortable. Highly recommend.

My husband wears these every day to work. He's working where there's a lot of mud and crazy terrain. His only complaint is that his feet get hot, but other than that he seems to like them, they are sturdy, and look better than most of his other choices. He is 72 so the fact that he's still going is pretty great. Retiring is not in the foreseeable future so he better have the decent workhorse shoes! These are doing the trick!

very comfortable hiking shoe. I have done several day hikes with these shoes thus far. Great traction and easy on your feet. Great water proof design. Crossed several slightly water covered trails. with no wet socks. it is a top notch shoe with out the over the top top notch price. I will buy this shoe model again.

Second time I have ordered hiking shoes from LL.Bean The shoes are very comfortable, even the very first time I went for a walk in them.

I wear these shoes (size 11) when walking my dog in the morning here in the Atlanta, GA area. They felt great right out of the box, with little to no break-in required. Not sure about being waterproof, although it's been my experience that shoes of this type offer a high degree of water resistance but are not 100% waterproof. I enjoy the comfort they provide and highly recommend them.

Bought a pair for my husband, size 14. He loves them- very comfortable, no need to break them in. He can wear them all day with no problems!

These hikers are extremely comfortable and have a non-skid sole. By wearing them for a few weeks I can tell that they are extremely good quality and worth the cost.

This is the only hiking shoe I wear as an everyday shoe with shorts and jeans. Perfect fit, very comfortable and durable. I recommend it to anyone looking for a great value
