These fit really well, They are comfortable, cute and I'm happy. Purchased a size 9 in and that is my true size.

I love my Birkenstock's! I own a few pairs and these ones are just as comfortable as any pair I've bought elsewhere. The large buckle is stylish and fun. These are exactly what I wanted.

The black footbed keeps the shoe looking nice and new. They do not have the comfort or support of my other Birkenstock’s but I love them all the same.

I have always HATED Birkenstock’s…. When I was young, we used to call them “birth control” because they were so hideous. But, now these tired feet need the arch support and I’ve passed the baton of my sky-high-heels and fancy scrappy sandals to my daughter… and I broke down and bought not one but TWO pair of these Madrid Big Buckle (both in oiled leather red) and they are really actually cute. Not ugly at all. I like that they have that wide strap because I have some bunions going on, not awful, but enough to want a strap to cover that area. These do the trick. If I had one improvement to suggest, I think they should have added one more hole for the buckle… I have wide feet and even on the smallest setting, the strap is likely to stretch with age. I will have to punch my own hole if the sandals last lone enough for that. But, I’m now a convert. I love them. I would like to see more colors in the oiled leather, but with the dark footbed, not the same color as the strap, I think it looks better with the dark footbed. I’d also love if they made a version with even higher arch support.

The red color is a beautiful shoe that fit perfectly. I buy a size 37 in Birkenstock sandals and they fit my size 7 medium foot. I like the black footbed in contrast with the red. Unfortunately for me, the big buckle strap that holds the shoe on dug into my bunion, so I had to return them. It looked so pretty I had hoped to make it work, but since there is only one strap to hold the shoe there is a lot of pressure on that strap when taking a step. This is a much more stylish shoe than the usual Birkenstock sandals, and is very attractive on my foot.

This sandal is perfect, super comfortable. Please note that the footbed is NOT plastic, it is LEATHER. Reviewers should take the 30 seconds to read the Birkenstock website, or even the BOX before making false statements. There is no plastic on the sandal. Period.

I wanted a Birkenstock that was actually a bit more feminine than my Arizonas are. While I love my Arizonas, they aren't as "cute" with skirts and dresses as I'd like them to be. The Madrid Big Buckle is absolutely darling. No, really!! The first day I wore them I had several compliments and someone stopped me at the grocery store and asked where I got them. So, here's the scoop. I am normally a 9 and I wear a 39 in Birkenstocks. That is what I ordered and they fit perfectly. I know that people get confused with the "narrow" verbiage but let me tell you, these are not narrow. I have feet that are a bit wider than normal and I am three holes in on the buckle. I don't normally like black in a sandal however I am finding these go with everything and the silver buckle really stands out. I also like the fact that the footbed is leather and not nubuck lined. I think the leather is easier to clean and doesn't leave that "sweaty-wet footbed" look. The leather strap over the foot required some break-in time as it was stiff the first couple of wears. Now it fits my foot perfectly and I am so very pleased with these. I'd love to order in a fun color however they are all nubuck and I think I'll wait until next season and see if something in blue or pink comes out in leather. This could be my favorite purchase of the year, seriously!!

I have wanted these shoes since I first saw them while I was on vacation on someone else’s feet! I just broke down and bought them and I adore them! They are beautiful, comfortable, and super versatile. I would definitely buy them again

I just bought the Madrid Big Buckle sandals in the pink nubuck, with a pink suede footbed. Love the way they look and fit! The big buckle makes them a bit dressier than regular Birks. I don't have a narrow foot, but these seem to work just fine for me. I also have these sandals in white smooth leather, with a smooth leather footbed. The fit on those is also great, but the smooth leather footbed can get kind of slippery and noisy on a hot day.

Cute and comfy and I absolutely love the cognac color! finally got these after being out of stock for the longest. so pleased with the purchase. several of my friends have since orders a pair. I have several pair of Birks and this is by far my fave.

Beautiful shoe! Fit was perfect bit wide and I have naturally wide feet. Goes with every outfit. Adorable!

beautiful sandals!! only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the leather is a bit “stiff” and hurt the top of my feet a little. I am sure once I break them in, they’ll be just fine! i want another pair in another color already!!

I have a narrow foot and these fit perfectly. I am a solid 8 and I ordered a 38. They are extremely comfortable. I plan on wearing them on a vacation that includes touring on foot.
