Please dont buy this shoe if you dont want injuries. After a few days I felt hip and knee problems. The shoes coushioning is too hard amd its not responsive. Even though this is a recovery shoe I wouldn't buy this. The quality is good tho. Adnvanced runners should not buy this one.

I really like Brooks shoes but this pair was very disappointing. The top of the shoe has some type of plastic support around the rim, this plastic support deforms permanently very easily. Almost immediately after buying them the plastic deformed and was pressing on my big toe, making it very uncomfortable, I can't run or walk in them correctly without pain.

The shoes are generally comfortable but one of them has some kind of defect in the front and it digs into my right toe every step when wearing them. I wish they didn't have that issue.

The size seemed a little small to get on, but comfortable once in them. The biggest issue was that the left shoe had a squeak that was very, very annoying. I haven't had a shoe that squeaked since I was a kid, and it was annoying beyond belief. I think that the interior of the sole had a defect, which caused it to squeak. I would buy them again if they didn't squeak, as they had a good look in the solid black color.

These shoes are not for me. I have been wearing speed goats for several pairs. These are too soft, my left knee hurts when I walk up stairs, I tend to fall back getting up from a chair. I have balance problems just walking normally. They are exhausting. Originally stopped wearing them because they were not broken in, started wearing them again yesterday and had another miserable experience. My foot doctor told me Brooks have the best support, but these are terrible and I cannot wear them.

These shoes are terrific . It is my feet that are really bad . I am going to stick with Ghost 16 which are the best for me . I use Ghost Max for training . The 6mm drop allows me to keep my heel on the ground for stable squats and lift .

Genuinely the worst shoes I have bought in my life. After wearing them for about 4 hours, the padding inside became flat and as hard as rock. Even after a week it didn't get softer again. They have a weird crease near the toe that folds in and rubs your large toe. (See photo) These shoes gave me a multitude of blisters and I have never gotten blisters from using shoes for just a few hours before. They have very little to reduce impact of steps so you will feel every one. I have a $25 pair of shoes that I wish I took on vacation instead. I ended up having to wear flip-flops the whole trip, and covering my blisters with band-aids just to recover from one day of heavy use of these shoes. I do not recommend these in the least.

So I've been wearing brooks running shoes for years. But this might be the last time I buy them. The fit is great, the comfort is still there. However they decided to put a stiffener around the front of the shoe where the toes are . Omg worst idea ever. When you walk in the shoe the plastic toe stiffener caves in and rubs the crap out of your big toe. The whole point of a running shoe is flexibility, stability, and comfort. Sorry Brooks. That was a bad move. Take them out or you've lost a customer for life.

First, let me say I'm a big fan of Brooks, and especially of the Glycerin GTS series. I have 5 pairs of the GTS20, and it was time to start replacing them as the mileage builds up. I think the GTS20 was a super shoe. Supportive, relatively lightweight, and comfortable right out of the box. I could take a new pair of 20's out for the first time and run a half marathon comfortably. I was hoping the 21's would be every bit as good, or perhaps even better. But no, that was not the case. IMHO, the 21 is a huge step backwards. It's a very uncomfortable shoe. It's stiff, has a very tight and unforgiving toe box, and high sides which rub against the malleolus bones (the "knobs" on the sides of your ankles). Three test runs in, it's no better than the first outing, and I'm having to bandage my ankles to avoid blisters, and about to lose a toenail. The "clunkiness" of the shoe reminds me a lot of the early models of the Beast support shoe. I'm going to try to nurse my existing 20's through another season, and hope the 22's will be much better. I know I can return the shoe via the "Run Happy" guarantee, but I'm going to hang onto it, and hope it eventually loosens up.
