As a casual runner and frequent gym goer, these shoes are my new go-to for both. I was never really one for premium athletic shoes but these have changed my mind. The foam under the heel is solid enough to give great support but still comfortable enough to make you feel like you're running on a cloud. Even for walking or standing around all day at work they feel great.
The materials definitely feel very premium. I got the normal version of the shoe but the fit is just a little bit too snug for me. If you think you would need a wide version then I would defiantly opt for it.
That being said, these were the first brooks I've tried but it definitely won't be the last.

These running sneakers are awesome and came just in time for my training. I am going to be running a half marathon in March and just started getting back into longer distances. My first run with these I realized they are the cream of the crop for fit and comfort. My other running sneakers were good but these are a notch above! The color pops as well and can go well with any short/shirt combo.
While running through the neighborhood some of my neighbors later saw me and asked what brand they were. I don't know if it is the sneaker or not but my time has improved as well :)
I couldn't recommend these more!!
Fantastic running sneaker. 5 Stars!

I typically wear a 11.5 Wide but if wides are not available I get a 12 and they fit good. In these shoes I got a 12 and surprisingly they are a bit loose width wise. They are very comfortable despite feeling loose in the width of it. My feet dont feel tired like normal and my arches dont hurt since wearing these for my runs and at the gym. They are super lightweight but feel high quality. I like the color of these but the style looks a little on the feminine side. Im still really happy with them. I would recommend these for anyone who has had pain in their feet when running because I noticed a difference after 1 day of use.

As a casual runner, I have found the Brooks Gylcerine 21 GTS shoes to be a solid choice for short runs. These shoes offer a ton of cushion for road running, and even with slightly narrow feet, they provide a snug fit. The nitrogen injected foam is very dense, and absorbs a lot of the shock from running on hard surfaces. The cushioning under the foot feels soft, and adds to the snugness of the shoe. The mesh material allows feet to breathe, but is a fairly tight and thick weave which seems durable. The soft plush tongue adds to the comfort and snug feel of the shoe, but the thickness of materials may restrict breathability some. The shoes feel somewhat heavy, but still within a suitable range as a comfortable running shoe. I like the wide base with lots of rubber on the bottom for traction, and the strong side walls help keep feet centered. The collar of the shoe is also very comfortable and easy to slide shoes on and off. These shoes seem well-suited for paved surfaces. I enjoy these shoes for short runs, the gym, or even for errands around town since they are so cushioned and snug. These shoes are perfect for short distances, but I might prefer a lighter, more breathable shoe for long-distance running.

The Glycerin 21 GTS has a solid feel on my foot. I like my shoes to fit almost as an extension of my skin and these envelope my foot just right without being too tight on any part of it. The sole is nicely cushioned so there is no jarring to the bone when either walking or lightly running. I have had these for a week now, so have not had the time to go for a long run as yet, but, I have no reason to believe that it wouldn't be as comfortable as on shorter runs. One of the things I like the most is the material used on the upper part. It allows my foot to breath well because so far my foot has not felt clammy or sweaty when using these. The only thing I would change on mine is getting them in all black so that I could get away with wearing them at some meetings at work.

Amazing show and extremely comfortable. I initially thought it would be too small but it does fit true to size, there is some stretch to it. The laces are simple and the cushion is extremely comfortable. It is comparable or better than other running shoes I've worn. I would consider wearing these daily for errands as well. The shoe feels breathable and light, perfect for the gym.

The new design being used on the shoes, places too much angle on the part of the sole going up Toward the top of the toe. This kind of design is hard and while It is a new fashion, it is not good for the User.

Have worn the Brooks adrenaline gts for yearswent to local running shop,Roberts Running, for a new pair of shoes and after trying on several pair the fitter brought out this shoe. I wear size 15 so its a struggle as it is finding shoes in stock in a brick and mortar storethankfully Brooks keeps these local shops stocked up with a great selection. I had 3 choices in the end.the new adrenaline gts, ghost max, and glycerin gts. The glycerin gts is hands down the most well fitting shoe, most comfortable, and so far the most supportive shoe Ive ever had. For my feet they fit like a glove and the material of the sole is insanely comfortable. Cant wait until new color ways get released. Thank you Brooks for continuing to understand that big feet people exist and to locally owned running stores!

An absolute joy to run in -- I felt like I could run all day in these shoes. While they feel so smooth and deliver energy back to my legs, they are not over cushioned; you can comfortably feel your feet gliding along the road, pressing the pavement and propelling forward. I have wide feet and ordered a 2E; I am confident I will get no bunions from these. Just WOW! I do wish that there was a winterized version of these babies but I've added some slightly thicker socks to get me through the New England winter.

Fit seemed drastically different vs. the last two generations. Guiderails dug into my arches, causing significant pain mid-run that persisted even after switching back to my old ones. While I do have wide, flat feet and arguably am borderline between normal a wide widths in many shoes, both the 19's and the 20's were excellent for me. Was hoping it was just a break in issue and mistaken tried to soldier through 60 or so total miles, but ultimately not the case and I ended up needing to take a couple of weeks off.
So.... really a 1 star for me, giving a 3 as fitment of course varies person to person - but certainly wasn't expecting that much of a different fit for me generation to generation.

I may just be too naive to running to have thought of this, but the 10mm heel to toe drop was too aggressive for me. I am not sure what amount of drop my current running shoes have, but these definitely felt dramatically different. I may eventually find my way back to a larger drop like these down the line, but for now this wouldn't be a comfortable shoe for everyday walking with less frequent long distance runs. If you need a higher drop this shoe looks and feels great. If you have no idea what a drop is, do some research before pulling the trigger on these.

I really wanted to love these. The description and shoe finder made them sound like they would have good stability, but unfortunately they don't, especially laterally. I feel like I'm walking after one too many beers because my footing feels so unsure. I'm in recovery from a spinal fusion and subsequent severe post-op infection, so I really need the stability. May need to return or exchange. May be great for others, just didn't fit my situation. Excellent ordering process and customer service though, and really appreciate the GOVX veterans discount.

Really comfortable shoe. Only problem is that the toe box collapsed after on a few wears. Same happened to my son's shoes (same model).

The Ghost Max were awesome for my landing spot I guess. These don't feel as comfy as the Ghost Max for running but great for walking for me.

I bought this shoe for walking all day. The reviews said it was a great shoe for that. After wearing it for a few hours I noticed I was using the ball of my foot a lot. Especially when standing they push you forward. After a while my toes were getting tingling. I returned it right away. I tried other Brooks models at the stores after that but noticed the same thing. Nice looking shoe but not comfortable for my needs.

Initially the shoe was great. Cushion feel was nice. 6 months later the shoe is shot out. For the money these shoes should last a minimum of 1 year.
