My feet measure 6D; I have a high arch and short toes. I wear a 36 regular in Birkenstock. In the Glycerin 21, the 7 wide was my optimal fit. As advertised and per its reputation, this model is a very comfortable, cushioned, accommodating shoe that allows me freedom to pronate appropriately. I was shopping for a work shoe (bedside nursing), rather than a running shoe, however, so this was not my ultimate pick. I preferred the wider base of the Hoka Clifton 9 in 6.5 wide, as it felt more stable for my needs.

I called customer service for advice on shoe size and the person I spoke with was very helpful. She recommended I go up one size from my Glycerin 20 shoes since although my current shoes seemed to fit, I lost toenail now that I am walking more than in the past. She advised me to stand up and make sure I have a thumb-width of space between my toes and the shoe. I did as she suggested and am so pleased with the Glycerin 21 in 1/2 size larger. I now have the 9.5W and love them. My custom orthotics fit great, I can wear heavier socks for cold weather, and they continue to feel great after a 4-mile power walk followed by a mile walking the dogs. Love that the shoelaces on the 21 don't come undone like they do on the 20!

Let me first state that I never wear any other running/workout shoe than Brooks. My new ones do not disappoint as usual. I must say, the toe area is not very attractive and I feel like I'm wearing a clown shoe. Having said that, the shoe is comfortable, especially on the treadmill and walking in general. I do have to change the inner sole to a more cushiony one, but I always do this. I don't like spending this much money, but, as of now, I think it was worth it. Brooks rules!

I love this design and fit of the shoe. I wear them all the time. I am not a runner. I use as daily shoes because I have a issue with a nerve in my foot and these work well with my custom arch supports. They dont let my ankles roll when I weight train and support my foot very well on my long walks and active lifestyle. My only issue with them is I had to wash them and the shoe came apart in the wash. I always wash my shoes but these didn't hold up unfortunately. That is my only draw back. I bought the white pair so washing is important when you wear them all the time. These unfortunately didnt pass that test.

I have been an active athlete since I was 5 years old. I never came across super comfortable shoes like these that cushion your heal and provide support if you have flat feet and/or plantar fasciitis symptoms like me. I bought other insoles to help support my plantar fasciitis but I am very pleased with the support, comfort, and cushion these shoes have provided for me since I bought them. Getting ready to buy my second pair. Such a relief to come across well designed shoes!

I wore brooks for many years and then made a switch a few years ago to hoka. Ive been experiencing extreme heel pain for a year and half. Ive tried many shoes for the foot pain. I was even encouraged from Dr to purchase hoka bondi 8. I finally went back to shoe store for fitting this was the shoe recommended by the salesman. Ive been wearing the g 21 for just over a month and I have significant decrease in foot pain. Love the shoe. Will forever get fitted vs trying the new trending shoes! These are worn for everyday and walking and working out. Not a runner

I have been wearing Brooks Glycerin for about 6 years, and these are not only the best ever, but my favorite running shoe in the 20 years I have been running.

I love these shoes! They are great for my tender feet, and higher arches. I always buy Glycerin shoes for walking, working out and running.

I am new to Brooks shoes and when I first wore this shoe I was so amazed by the comfort. I chose them because of plantar fascititis in both feet. However, after about a mile into my exercise, my toes would begin killing me! I also felt the top of the shoe at the tongue was uncomfortable. I tried for 2 months to make them work because they worked wonders for my foot pain. I ended up returning this model and getting the Stealthfit and upsized by a full size (9 vs 8) So far the issues are much better. My takeaway...the toe box may be a little tight, so upsizing definitely helps! I'm still breaking the new ones in to get the ultimate comfort I am hoping for

This is my second pair of Glycerins, and I've really enjoyed my Glycerin 19's in size 8.5. The 21's are also very comfortable, but the 8.5 unfortunately, they feel too tight across the top of my foot, just below the top tongue and laces. Theres a lot of padding in that area, and it's narrow and it's digging into my foot. I'm planning to return them for an 8.5 wide, hoping that will solve the issue without making the rest of the shoe too loose. Though, now that I think about it, maybe going up half a size would be better. Not sure what to do yet, but with their generous return policy, I guess Ill just try each option if needed.

Great fit and very comfortable. Bought for son who has narrow fit, bought on line and is the best shoe he has.

I love these shoes. I have worn many iterations of the Glycerin 21 over the years and the 21 is wonderful! Please note, I needed to go up 1/2 size. IMO, they run a little short.

This is my second pair of Brooks Glycerin 21 shoes. Theyre very comfortable and I could wear them ALL day long. Tested them out at Disneyland and they kept me going all day. Will definitely be adding more to my collection.

I am not a runner, my reason for rating. I do exercise classes and find this style does have enough support for side to side motion, but would be Great for a runners forward motion. Reason I would not buy again!

I was totally disappointed with the Brooks. It runs small. Go up 1/2 size. I needed a good walking shoe. Went in store because I wanted the fitting and professional advice. That was a waste of my time. No comfort or cushion. It was so expensive. I returned. Didnt worth the money. Maybe I got the wrong advice, dont know but I was definitely not impressed.

Love the support and cushion of the shoes without getting any cramps until about mile 24 at the NYC Marathon. Didn't love the fact that there were very few selections available in wide sizes. Would have love to see more vibrant colors for race days.

I've worn and replaced the Glycerin for a decade at least! Up until the Glycerin 21 always a great fit and so comfortable. The Glycerin 21 is the worst and I won't continue to buy unless Brooks changes the design back. The 21 is way too spongy and the sole is too thick. Please bring back the former models...they don't need improvement. Additionally the 21 is boxy and ugly.

I've been wearing Brooks for several years now and have liked them. I was wearing the Glycerin 21 GTS and realized after speaking with a Brooks person that I was supinating. He recommended the Glycerin 21 and it is very comfortable and corrected the supination issue. My podiatrist recommended Brooks years ago and I've been very happy with them.
