This is a high quality hiking shoe however the tongue design does not offer enough support around the anterior ankle. There could be longer web material along the sides of the tongue and a possibly a wider tongue. This area feels loose fitting rather than being secure. Also the round laces provided are not long enough to double knot the laces. I own several Danner models.

Nice quality. A little more firm than the standard Mountain 600 in the forefoot with the addition of gore tex. The tongue is a bit different as well, time will tell if they are better. I would love a 6 month follow up reminder to review them after I get some mileage on them.

Great boot. More Sole support which is what i was looking for

I liked the boot but the d rings ended and there is a notch where another d ring should have been. I couldn't control the tung while tying. It made me curse. So I retuned and got the 600 leaf

They are too big and not the right fit. I would like to return for exchange of another style boot.

My second pair of Mountain 600s - the best boots I've ever worn. Love the wide option that is acutally wide, I wish the Mountain Pass line would come in "real" wide sizes that are actually wide.

This is my (3) pair of Danner boots in the last four years. They are super comfortable, true to size and they look great!

Very nice boots, i havent had a long hike yet but three mid hikes Ive done theyre starting to feel a lot more comfortable!

Not for me. . . . ran too narrow. Returned them for the mountain 600 recraftable.

Lightweight, very comfortable out of the box, with a few design improvements on the basic Mountain 600s. Best hiking boot I've worn. I recommend these to friends all the time.

Okay, so these are basically your new best friend for all things hiking. These boots are like the perfect blend of sturdy and comfythink of them as the Swiss Army knife of outdoor footwear.

First trip I did in them was field work in Namibia, they are plenty tough and comfortable

After one week, I love them. Definitely worth the investment.

I ordered a nine wide online, but my heel was going up and down with each step. I decided to consult the experts at a Danner store. I ended up with an 8.5 regular. Fits great. Wore them a week indoors to break in and will test them on the trail next week. A high quality boot.

These rock. Hike, work, shooting range, wear them everywhere.
