This is a very comfortable shoe and can be worn all day long. It is almost like wearing your favorite slippers, but with more support. It does come up a but far to the front of the ankle, but not so much to make me return them. Great customer service, shipping at the speed of light, and easy and free outward and return shipping. You can't beat that. If you can't find something they used to have and no longer have, they will find it for you on another website. Truly amazing customer service.

Soft and comfortable, but heel fit is wide, substantially wider than toe fit which is not wide.

Good comfortable shoe. Can be worn for long periods of time. It might be a bit narrower than it says, but I have wide feet and I got the medium instead of the wide. Good quality!

I like these shoes -- comfortable but without the "look" of being a big clunky athletic shoe.

I generally wear an 8-1/2N enclosed shoe, an 8-1/2N or 9N sandal and a 9 medium in a sneaker (which I wear with socks). The Easy Spirit AP1 was too short. (The Keds Champion in a 9 medium fit like a charm, as did the New Balance Classics in a 9 medium.)

These shoes are extremely comfortable, but don't really accomodate socks, a little snug. But they look nice and I can wear them for a long time.

I have worn these Easy Spirits for years. I'm an old lady and they are so comfortable. Dealing with Zappos is a real pleasure!

The Easy Spirit AP1--the first Easy Spirit shoe I have bought--is instantly comfortable right out of the box. I wish a more formal looking oxford were made with this perfect sizing. A sister product, Easy Spirit Motion, is an oxford, but it is nowhere near as comfortable as the Easy Spirit AP1. I tried both on the same day and decided to keep the AP1.

I love these shoes. They wear well and are comfortable. This is my second pair and probably won't be the last.

Wanted a pair of walking shoes not so clunky. I was able to insert my orthodics in them and since they tie, the shoe fit great. Walked all over Charleston without any problem. This is the second pair of these shoes that I have owned.

I’ve bought several pairs of AP1 over the years. It’s a comfortable walking shoe and doesn’t look overly athletic. It has some arch support, but not a lot. They are comfortable right out of the box. In fact the first day I wore this pair, I had them on from 7am to 9pm and they were still as comfortable as when I first put them on! I only said four stars instead of five as I know arch support is particularly important for some people.

Lightweight - Unlike many shoes of this type, this one is lightweight, sole is thin.

Mom loves them - I purchased these shoes for my 88 year old mother who still has her original pair from at least 20 years ago. She says that they are the most comfortable shoes for her and now only wears them. I got the new pair and gave them to her. She put them on and said they were great. I personally don't like the look of them but she loves them.

Most comfortable shoes - I love these shoes. They are so lightweight, not heavy and clunky like most athletic type shoes. The only problem I have is keeping the shoestrings tied. I have to double knot them, but they still come loose.

Comfortable shoe - The ratings given here are by mother. I was going to return this shoe because it was not wide enough for my feet although I ordered 2E. My mother tried it on, however, and decided to keep it. I will be looking for another pair of walking shoes.

I have had this style shoe before and loved them. I guess my feet have changed significantly over the years as they are not so comfortable for me now. My feet are very wide and while they fit okay the sole isn't as wide as my foot so they bulge out on the sides. I am very disappointed that I need to return them.

Slippery When Wet - I love these shoes, wear them everyday, but do be careful if walking on wet floors or ice. They have a "rubber-LIKE" sole, not rubber and that makes all the difference if that helps anyone with concerns. I love this shoe so much I wish Easy Spirit would make the AP1 with rubber soles! The long line makes my wide foot look more slim. Back to the slipperiness - one time I stepped on my wet, washed floor and had one foot slide straight out to the right; in trying to gain control, the left foot slipped straight out to the left and I did the splits! It was funny, but it could also be very serious.

Great casual shoe - Happy to find it runs true to width as well as size. Very comfortable first day I put them on. Not too much arch support, but still comfortable after a full work day.

Easy Spirit AP1 - I have been wearing this shoe for many years. I found that I could not buy it at retail stores. I ordered white, because my other shoes looked as if the leather was rubbed out. Much to my delight I looked at the Zappos website and found that I could order this shoe. I appreciated your quick service. Since I have worn this shoe in a variety of colors, I knew the fit would be good. The shoe fit properly. I know I will order more shoes from Zappos.

Have these changed?? I have happily worn these shoes for years and have several older pairs in my closet. Those I just bought seem larger. Have they changed the shoe?
