The Ghost Max is supposed to replace the Dyad. It's a very soft shoe. I would prefer the Dyad back.

I have walked for years and the last 5 years I have worn Brooks. I have had the best results with the Ghost 13 and 14. I did the online test and it suggested the Ghost Max so I ordered those. I am so disappointed with this shoe! My feet, legs and hips hurt while I am walking it's not like soreness which I have had it is more of an actual pain. I am going to try to figure out how to return the Ghost Max and order the Ghost 16.

Very comfortable from the start but tread is too soft and had a quick fall off after just a couple weeks. Very thankful for Brooks return policy!

Beautiful shoes but are not right for me. They don't fit like the pair I tried on in store. They are too high and I struggle with balance and stability.

Big and clunky, insole is not contoured for my feet or as luxurious as I had hoped. I find myself preferring to wear my NB's for longer-duration comfort.

Overall, I like these shoes and they are supportive but yet still have that cloud like feel. The 2E width is perfect, I can’t believe I’ve only worn men’s width D with all this time. My biggest complaints are that they loose support around month 4 of daily wear and within the first month a crease in the toe cardboard cuts into the toes. This is the 3rd pair of Ghost Max that this has happened to.

The shoe was wide enough for me to wear and long enough for me to wear so I was pleasantly surprised, but the arch support was just not there and just sitting in it trying it on my heels instantly started hurting so if you have planter fasciitis or heel spurs I do not recommend

I'm a huge fan of the regular Brooks Ghost, but these didn't work for my plantar fasciaitis issues. They didn't have the same level of arch support, and aren't great for over-pronators either. I'm sticking with the regular Ghost.

Very good shock absorbing, but not as stable as I would like. I worry that tread wear may be an issue, based on how it looks after 7 runs.

The shoe was a little too big in the toe area. I need a larger toe box, but this was too wide. The tongue pushed into my ankle which was uncomfortable. However, I loved the thick sole and would have kept them except for the two problems,

Brooks was my favorite brand for years. Since foot surgery for hammertoes, they don't work with my custom orthotics.

They were comfortable for a while, then the part by my inner ankle began rubbing. I had to take them off before a blister formed.

Not crazy about these shoes. Like the glycerin style much better. These are clunky. Will wear out then go back to other Brooks.

Fit and size were just okay, but I think they would be too large since my foot moved too much to the front of the shoe. Also, I was not in love the total black shoe.

I have had these sneakers for one year, and after about 9 months the tread was gone. Continued to wear them, because they cost 150.00 and they should last a year. I walk about 9 miles a week. Today they are going in recycle. I am not pleased with the quality of my first pair of Brooks.

I typically run 3-5 miles per day on streets and sidewalks. I do not like these shoes as much as the Adrenalines that I have had in the past for the following reasons: 1) The curved bottom feels unstable 2) When the roads are wet, even a little bit from a sprinkler, I don't feel that I have good traction 3) My lower legs seem tighter and more uncomfortable than they did with the Adrenalines 4) The first 5 or so times that I wore these I got blisters on my feet (especially inner arch) which I never did before.

The best way I can describe these shoes it like running with boxes on my feet.

They are very nice, but after 30 minutes of use my feet hurt so bad. I had to take them off. I can't wear for more than 30 minutes because my feet swell and the pain is intense that I opted not to use them at all. What a shame and waste of money.

I have worn Brooks for years. I have Glycerin 11's that I've still hung onto for yard work days! Brooks just kept changing this model making it shorter and snugger over time such that the Glycerin 17's were the last version of that model that fit and felt comfortable to me so I switched to Ghosts which felt slightly less cushy but all around more comfortable and worked okay for me but again, Brooks insisted on radically changing a good thing over a couple years so, the last version of this model that was a decent fit were the Ghost 13's. I do not understand why Brooks insisted on making such radical changes to shoes that so many people loved. It was all very frustrating but I'm incredibly and foolishly brand loyal so I kept trying to make the Glycerins and Ghosts work to the point, I realize in hindsight, I developed some chronic metatarsal and plantar fascia pain as well as some Achilles tendinitis and even had a soleus muscle tear. The situation became untenable so I decided to try the Ghost Max thinking the rocker style and extra cushioning might help but, the size 7.5 which I've always worn in every Brooks running shoe I've ever owned, was enormous in the Ghost Max. Additionally, the overall fit was odd and sloppy. I never tried them out on a run or even a walk because honestly, I was afraid I'd end up with a sprained ankle on top of everything else. I'm so sad Brooks. Bring back shoes that fit and are comfortable long-term. For now, I've had to switch to another brand with a shoe that's very similar to what the older Glycerins fit and felt like and in just two weeks of wearing their shoe, my feet are beginning to heal. The Ghost Max definitely have cushion, almost too much cushion, and the colorways are really nice looking which is why I gave it 2 stars but they are just another big Brook's miss in this girl's opinion.

I heard that Brooks discontinued the Levitates and that the Ghost Max is the next best option. I never got to try the Levitate and these Ghost Max were on sale so I figured why not. Ghost Max are light on the feet and don't feel weird even with the higher stack. I have shoes from a different brand with the high stack and those make me wobbly and ungrounded. Brooks did a good job making these higher stack and stable. I have wider feet and the Medium width felt fine. It is a beautiful shoe. The offered colors are ok. Wish brooks did some funner hues. Apricot was as close to flash I could find. My runs start off fine but I noticed it did not take long for my to legs get achy. I never had heel pain before but developed a sharp sensation in my heel. I have the Brooks Glycerins in my running repertoire and based on my foray into Ghost, I will stay with the Glycerins. Brooks makes excellent shoes and maybe in future I would give the Ghost another chance.

It's a nice shoe, but it doesn't have enough arch support. I would have ordered my third pair of Caldera 6, but I couldn't get it in black anymore. I'm guessing you discontinued it? They provided excellent support for me. I bought these for work, so I needed black.

I buy Brooks because I have a bad back, bad knees, and high arches and they've always been great. These are very cushy, but have zero arch support. My knees started to hurt on the elliptical with these, which never happens. I love the look and wish I could keep them.

I like the fit and comfort, but the soles wore down very quickly. Usually my shoes (Ghost) last 3-5 months, but Ghost Max wore through in 1 month. Won't be buying Ghost Max again.
