Hmmmm, I'm still deciding on these. When you first put them on, it's a different experience. It felt like I was walking on quick sand! But eventually, the sensation wore off and I got used to them. I wore them in the city all day and they were super comfortable and gave me enough stability. They are a bulky shoe and there is a lot of room in the toe box to the point where I could not fill out the upper portion of the shoe. I got my usual size in Brooks but these definitely run wide. Overall, not a bad a shoe and with some minor improvements and additional colors, I think it could become a favorite for long days on my feet.

I ordered a wide and it still seemed narrow. The Max was very comfortable and cushiony, but the forward roll seemed to make my balance off.

I usually get the Ghost but decided to try the Ghost Max since I walk everyday and work on my feet 6hrs one day a week. While wearing the Max I didnt find much of a back to front motion and after a few days my legs and feet hurt a lot. Whatever the motion difference was it was too much for me. Having said all that, I also will say I love Brooks shoes. I am a forever customer. They are the most comfortable, supportive shoe I have ever worn. I am back in the Ghost and loving them!

I typically wear the glycerine for long runs and halfs but these are my new go to! Perfect cushion and feel of rolling forward, super light and overall just perfect. Nice job Brooks!

I was unhappy with the last two Ghost shoes - 14 & 15. I loved Ghost 13 and Ghost Max is just what I have been missing. I love the shoe! It took me a couple of runs to get used to the difference, but I know I will purchase Ghost Max again!

I am still in the "breaking in" period but I do like that the Wide seems to be wider around the toe area so my toes can lay flat and not feel "scrunched " up. The Ghost 15 wide does not seem to have that. So far I have been liking them.

I love the rocker feature in these shoes. The extra cushioning is appreciated on long runs.

These are by far superior to any Brooks Ive previously owned. (Glycerin, Ghost) although I do feel they fit a half a size bigger than what I usually wear. Awesome shoe, well worth the cost. Ive already ordered a second pair.

I just got mine yesterday! Wore them today for only a 2 miler to check them out. I was recently diagnosed with neuroma in my left foot as well as arthritis so was looking for a shoe that could minimize the pain associated with these conditions. ( I also put a lot of hours on concrete for my job). I loved my Ghost 13s but Ghost 14,15 and Glycerin 20s didnt cut it. I think the Max is a game changer for me. I actually dont want to take them off!

I did not care for these at all, but I am also not a fan of HOKA or the new Kayano shoes either because they have huge cushion bottoms. If you like that type of shoe, then maybe these are for you. I felt like the cushion was firmer then HOKAs or Kayanos and the upper less restrictive on my foot. Overall, the built-up bottoms negatively affected my proprioception making my run feel unstable and wobbly.

Although not a big fan of the thick sole, I can easily look past that since the shoe performs so well on and off (treadmill) the road! It feels like my regular Ghost shoe, but my knee and low back don't hurt during or after running with the Ghost Max. Also, I normally need a wide as I have a bunion, but not with the Ghost Max. The mesh design allows enough give so there is plenty of room in the toebox for my bunion. Definitely a fan and will by buying this shoe again!!

I love Brook Ghost. Unfortunately, this particular sneaker did not come in a 11 1/2 so I sized up and purchased the size 12. The 12 in the Ghost Max is too big, I will have to return. It has a wonderful feel and extremely comfortable. I felt like I was walking on clouds. Please create a size 11 1/2if it wasnt too big the rating would have been 5 stars.

Love the shoe! I had some form of planter fasciitis for the last 2 years. Finding a shoe to support and still have the I needed was near impossible. I finally found the shoe! I have been wearing the Ghost Max now for 30 days with out inserts. Brooks - please offer more colors in wide. I need the wider toe box so my toes can move. Thank you

I love the new Ghost Max. I run in Ghosts often and thought the thicker sole would mean more cushion. I haven't noticed a big difference in cushion from my Ghost 15s, but still a very comfortable shoe that carries me on long runs without me noticing discomfort (from the shoe). And that says a lot in the shoe I look for.

After a few longish runs, I really like them. The extra forefoot cushion has made a huge difference for me. No foot pain from striking hard surfaces.

They dont feel much different than the Ghost 14 or 15 that I usually wear. They seem to be a bit heavier and a little more chunkier looking.

This shoe is great right out of the box. Excellent cushion without being too soft to pick up the pace. Very easy to walk and run in. The heel to toe drop is perfect. Planning on getting a second pair!

Amazing! I have been plagued with sesamoid edema for about a year. After six months of PT it came back after three months. My toe was hurting this morning, and then stopped within a few hours of wearing these shoes. Plus theyre lightweight and dont make my feet look bigger than they already do. Im considering purchasing another pair.

So far, so good! I am going to give them more road time as I train for a half marathon. They are very cushioned and supportive. Had switched to another running shoe looking for this kind of comfort, this compares very well.

Not as comfortable as the glycerin. Overpriced and under promised. Thick soles but not as shock absorbing as glycerin.

I love the way they feel on my feet. Only one thing I wish is that these come in c wide. Otherwise it is a great shoe.

I just bought the Ghost Max in a 2x wide and for the very first time in my 68 years, my toes arent squeezed, neuropathy has reduced by 90% and my feet are so comfortable! I walk 5 miles daily and these shoes are the best thing since canned soup!!! They are so good, I ordered a 2nd pair immediately!! Thank you Brooks!!!

Too narrow for me, and I have narrow feet

I thought it was bulky and not as comfortable as Hokas equivalent. I wear them for daily walking but I wouldnt run in them
