This are super cute and fit great....Except for the length. I ordered a 28 Short. "Short" is actually a 31" inseam...Still about 3 or 4" too long for me. (I'm 5'1") It was my bad because I didn't check the length. I assumed that "short" was for short people. I may have to return them...They should offer petite sizing. I wouldn't recommend for ladies under 5'3".

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
They fit lower than I like. They felt more like hip huggers than mid-waist. I am a little "bottom heavy", so that may be part of it. Other than that, they are true-to-size

This was my first pair of Ariat jeans and it definitely will not be my last. They are so well made! I am 5'7" and ordered the short length, which was perfect for wearing with tennis shoes and flats. The bootcut is wide, which I liked. I wouldn't want a wider flare at all. These jeans are a little more decorated than I'd prefer (the stitching was light which really stands out on these dark jeans and I felt the back pockets were overly decorated), but they are so well made that I decided to keep them. I wear them frequently. I am also an 8 or 10 typically so I ordered the 30s. I wish I had ordered the 29 because I do have a little gapping at the waist. This did not translate to Ariat skinny jeans! I just received my first pair of skinny jeans and I will probably have to go up to a 31 because they were way too small. Overall, I'd say I'm learning the brand so I had some hiccups, but these are great jeans. The dye doesn't smell or come off on your body or clothing and they are real, quality denim. I haven't found anything like them in stores.

Just what I wanted, but I wish they were at least one inch shorter.. I am 5'1 and bought the short length, which usually works well for me.. these drag on the ground even with my tallest boot heels on. Great fit, material, color.. just too long.

This is my first pair of Ariat jeans. They are too big and boot cut legs are way too wide. I will try a different style next time.

Great quality jeans but the "boot cut" is more of a wide leg. Wider than I prefer.

I love the quality of the Jean's and the first pair I bought fit perfect. The last 2 pairs I bought were same size 32 S and they were way too long. Not sure what happened its a shame because I love their jeans.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
The jeans I got dont look like the online picture. Online had white stitching and a notch at bottom hem. The jeans I got are tan stitching without notched hem. Planning to return as not the style of jeans I’m looking for. Disappointing.

I like how the jeans fit very comfortable. Like the high rise waist however I bought 30" length and they are still too long and the leg flares more than I like.

These are a nice, clean cut, comfortable, and flattering pair of jeans. I'm only giving this one less star because it has more of a flare bottom than a boot cut bottom. If you like a wider boot cut these are the jeans for you. But I don't love all of the extra fabric, hence minus one star.

Very nice jeans, fit me perfectly when I ordered a size smaller (makes a girl feel good!;) I'm usually a 29, but ordered a 28. 5'9" and the regular length is perfect, I have longs for riding. DISAPPOINTED that the color is almost EXACTLY THE SAME as the spitfire pair I have. I don't understand, they don't look anything alike from the photos. Otherwise, my fav pair of jeans (I have wranglers and cowgirl tuff)

These jeans are nice. Very comfortable and what real jeans should feel like. My only compliant would be I had a gap in the back so I had to wear a belt.

These are really cute and fit exactly as described. They are a 33 inseem and did shrink a little when washed/dried. I wish they were a bit longer. They have a nice amount of stretch and are very comfortable. For the price, you can't go wrong.

I have 2 pair of your real riding jeans and absolutely LOVE the look and feel of them! Just wanted to leave a quick review! The first pair that I've had for about 6 months is the rainstorm wash- the zipper refuses to stay zipped over the past month, but otherwise, they've their structure!! The second pair is the spitfire wash, and I've owned them for about 3 months. I always wear my jeans before I wash them for the first time, and this pair lost the little embellishment on the left front pocket before ever being washed. Doesn't affect the structure or fit, but I was a little disappointed in these quality defects after paying over $60 dollars on each pair. The only other thing I noticed is that the spitfire pair, which is a 28 actually fits MUCH more snug than the size 27 rainstorm pair- could just be because of the wash, but I hoped they'd be a little more true to size at that price point? Thought maybe Jet's stretch a little after the first few wears, but they've stayed pretty tight! All of that being said, these are definitely the most comfortable jeans I've ever owned, and I actually bought them after reading an article on country outfitter about how great they make your "posterior" look (which is 100% true my booty has never looked so lifted!!) With a few minor quality improvements in mind, I would say Ariat Real Riding jeans are one of the best deals that a workin' gal can get!

I bought these about 2 months ago along with the real riding jean spitfire. Both waist 25 regular length. I am 5'5" usually size 0-2 depending on fit. This jean fit was pretty baggy/loose fit all over which is fine but makes me feel like im floating in it. After a few wash/drying cycles it fits a lot better. If you have some curves it will fit like a glove. The quality is great and i do recommend buying these. The fit for my personal body is the only reason i gave 4 stars if not it would be 5 stars definitely.

I normally wear a size 4 and according to the Ariat size chart I would need a size 27. I first ordered a 27 short (I'm 5 ft. 3 inches) They were pretty loose, bagging in the thigh and seat and very wide in the leg. I sent them back for a size 26 short and they are much better. The rise shrunk after the first wash making them dig in a little in my belly but I hope it will stretch and form from wear. The size 26 fit much better in the seat and thigh and the wide leg wasn't so overly wide like the next size up. I wish they were a little looser in the stomach. The denim is thick but has nice stretch. Haven't ridden in them yet. oh, and the length in 26 short is just right. 27 short was at least a couple inches too long.

I am 5'8", 155 lbs, 31" waist, 41" hips, and ordered the 32. It fits perfectly, which I am very pleased about - I was afraid I would have to return it for being too large. I chose one inch up because I dislike tight-fitting jeans, and these are very comfortable - no problems moving around, no problems with muffin top when I sit in them. I don't even think I would need a belt, though I will probably wear one as a matter of course. I did not notice any problems with gaping at the back, despite ordering one size up. My only complaint is that the photo is somewhat misleading. I was expecting, from the photo, that the jeans would be fairly straight and "hug" my leg from thigh to ankle. They do not - I would, frankly, describe them as almost trouser or wide-leg in style. I actually felt that I looked shorter in the mirror as a result - a first for me. As I must have my jeans altered anyway (my right leg is 1/2" shorter than my left) I will simply have the tailor take in the excess fabric. This is NOT a deal breaker for me, but it was actually pretty disappointing - I don't like having to alter the very shape of a pair of jeans like this. I also ordered the Turquoise Blackened A pair of jeans, which I have yet to receive, and I am expecting them to have the same issue. The quality of the jeans is outstanding - I can tell these will last quite a long time, and probably against whatever abuse I throw at them. These are far higher in quality than other jeans I have purchased, from other companies, at a much higher price. These will definitely not be the last pair of Ariats I buy, and it is actually quite likely that Ariat will be my go-to jeans from now on. Aside from the issue of leg style, which can be corrected by a tailor, these jeans are fantastic. Just be prepared that they will appear wider on you than they do on the model.
