I have always wanted this coat. Fits great. Very warm. Really nicely made. I was concerned the sleeves would be too long but they were perfect. Aside from that the fit was as described. They didn't have it in the store but the salesperson was able to order it for me there and assured me there would be no shipping charge if it wasn't the right size. She was great. Excellent customer service too. Very happy with this coat.

So very happy I purchased this coat in tan. It's very well made, looks lovely on, warm & classy. I can dress it up or down.

Very nice coat! The fabric is beautiful and I love the hood! I ordered a petite and it fits perfectly for a 5'3" woman. I am very happy with the purchase!

Wonderful coat and keeps me very warm and looks great too

I bought this same coat about 12 years ago. I thought it was red, but when it came it was a gorgeous raspberry color. I get compliments on it all the time, and it is the warmest coat I have ever worn. I live in New England where it gets cold and I walk to work. I have had to replace the zipper once, and would need another soon, and now the wool is getting worn down, so it is time to replace it, but I am going to miss it being such a cool color pink.

I love this coat, the fit is so clean and is great over layers. If you wear layers, I would suggest buying a size or two up because the fit is so polished, I found the back to be a bit tight when moving my arms with layers underneath.

Really beautiful coat. I had no problems with the zipper. I returned it though because it's too warm for California. It's insulated and that's great for most areas but I didn't think I'd need that here. I would highly recommend this coat.

I really cannot say enough good things about this coat. I purchased it about 6 years ago and it has been my primary winter coat for walking the dog and going to work. It is so warm -- so much so that I tested it last winter. I realized I could not remember ever being cold in this coat, so I started wearing it over only a tee in single digit temps with wind. And this thing kept me perfectly toasty, I mean the only place I even felt a hint of wind was the neck and hand openings. It is a tank! The wool has held up well, and as a tall person I like that the hood was big enough to put over even a hat, yet is heavy enough that it doesn't blow off easily, since there is no drawstring. Only improvement would be if LLBean started carrying tall :)

This coat is nice one size larger than what I'd typically wear.

So classic, very warm. Well made. Purchased for each of our 2 daughters. They love them.

I really like this coat. It has a hood which I missed with my other coat. I would highly recommend.

I love this coat and it is a very warm hug on a cold day. Went tree shopping and it was chilly and windy but my coat and hood kept me warm. I first ordered a 2X because so many wrote it ran small and had to return it for a reg 20 which fit just fine. I purchased the camel color and it is so classic. The quality is what you expect from LL Bean, tops.

I ordered this to replace my LLBean duffle coat I purchased over 15 years ago. I like to wear sweaters and layers. There has been a design change (which I like). Because it is more fitted, I need to return it for the next size, but that is o.k. It is a very nice looking coat, still classic. Just what I want.

My first coat was a gift. Coat hung unevenly and two sizes smaller than size order. It fit much smaller that it should have. Sent back, reordered bigger size. Coat arrived, fit still snug but comfortable, and drapes evenly when unzipped. Zipper is difficult. I am going to wax zipper, hopefully that will improve it.

Bought the gray one for my wife, she tried it on yesterday and the drape/hang is off, unzipped one side is a couple inches higher, then if zipped the shoulders are off, had to return

I love the style and blue color, which is why I bought it. It fits very well and is warm. It's well-made. My only issue is the zipper. I find it frustrating. It is a two-way and hard to line up. It takes several times to get it to zip.

The fit was a little snug for a size 10 which is what I wear in everything else.

This is a lovely coat that is warm. I ordered one size up, and the coat fit. From an ergonomic perspective, the pockets are placed poorly. They are too close to the center zipper is the coat. They should be closer to where th arms fall on the sides of the coat.

Very warm and comfortable coat. Size up a size though for ultimate comfort.

This is my second lambswool duffel coat and it's an absolutely perfect coat with the exception of the zipper. I bought this one to replace one purchased a number of years ago. That coat was still in great shape after years of use... except for the zipper. I am trying to be REALLY careful with the new coat's zipper in hopes this one does not develop problems before the rest of the coat wears out. I wish LLBean would upgrade the zipper to metal instead of plastic!

First, so glad to find a lined warm wool coat with a hood and quick, easy closure! And the right length - I can't stand short coats. I like how the toggles are super easy to use one- handed. The warmth is what I wanted, and the lines look great. I would have appreciated pockets deep enough to store gloves securely. The fit was a little shorter and snugger than anticipated in the arms, but still okay.

This coat is fantastic for current Maine winters. It is pricy, but you get so much out of it. The thick wool gives you 100% wind protection. Taking the dog out for a few minutes even in heavy rain or snow and the coat stays dry, though with wool don't stand in it too long. It keeps you warm with even a short sleeve shirt on underneath for those quick dashes out and back. Downside is the teeny tiny pockets for your hands mean you cannot put anything more than keys and a lip balm in the pocket. Glove hands do not fit. I will be having a tailor make the pockets larger come spring. There is no inside chest pocket which should be standard on women's coats as well as men's as I do not carry a purse.

Excellent quality but it runs very small, particularly through the shoulders. I wish the inside was slightly more insulated. The wool is quite soft which is nice.
