The shore color was very pretty and the length was good however it should not be considered a warmer jacket at all. It was so thin that you could see through it. It would be a good coat for milder temperatures, because of needing a warmer coat for winter, I returned it.

I love this storm blue/steel blue puffer coat, BUT the two-way zipper malfunctioned the first time I put on the jacket. It came fully zipped up. I managed to unzip it, try it on, and zip it back up. When I tried to unzip it to take off, the zipper malfunctioned and got caught at uneven lengths at the bottom of jacket. I had to climb out of it! A seamstress friend suggested I return the jacket. She said the people at L.L. Bean would know how to unfasten the zipper. Zippers can be fragile, and if I try to unfasten it myself, I might break off some zipper teeth. I returned the coat without requesting a replacement. Instead I placed a separate order for a puffer jacket with a regular zipper. The jacket is shorter with no hood, though. If you don't have a problem with two-way zippers as I do, you probably will love this coat. PS The coat came with no tags, so I wonder if someone might have returned it because of the zipper problem.

The coat is cute and fit, but the first time I tried it on the zipper broke. I called the help line about the shipping costs ( which they don't charge if there is a defect) and I had them send me a replacement. And the zipper jammed in the exact same place, so it's going back too.

This coat was a lot flimsier and lightweight than I expected. Also, the stripes were not at all flattering - on me, anyway. I did like the color.

This jacket does not have enough pockets. You need to make women's jackets like you make men's jackets--WITH POCKETS! We have stuff to carry too and don't always like to have a purse.

When I first went to purchase this jacket (green) it sold out immediately. I then checked in weekly for quite a while awaiting a restock. Finally there was a preorder option for a restock so I triple checked my size info to confirm my choice. I preordered and after weeks it was finally available to ship. I get it and it's far too small. Outside the minimal range of a s,m,l style sizing, if this were a shirt I would say it was 2 sizes too small. I went to start an exchange to find it was sold out yet again. My only choice was to return it, which cost about $17. So not only do I not have the jacket, I lost money on this purchase. Won't be ordering from Bean again. A large company like this not offering a complimentary return process is an antiquated model I will be sure to avoid in the future.
