This coat is fantastic. It is well made and will last. It is also warm, but not too hot and that allows you to layer underneath. It is the perfect length too. I can't recommend this enough.

The material felt plush and much softer than I anticipated. I have received many compliments while wearing it. It is sometimes difficult to zip up- I would love an improvement in the zipper in future editions.

I love this coat! It's so comfortable and warm. I bought it in the Royal Red Plaid and absolutely love it. And its WOOL! I shopped around for a wool coat and found L.L. Bean was one of the few places that offered wool coats. Living in Minnesota, a warm coat is essential. This coat is classy enough for work and warm enough for the ice arena. Thank you L.L. Bean!

This is a wool coat that I have only had the opportunity to wear once for a few minutes. I'm 5'3", 150lbs. I got the XL 16 and it fits perfect. I'm not sure how comfortable it will be with a sweater.

Perfect coat that looks elegant and is perfect for the winter. Four years ago, I purchased a navy version of the same coat in plaid green. The most suitable for New England climates.

I found this coat a few years ago and was in love with it, but just couldn't make myself spend the money. I watched it come back and sell out every year. I couldn't have bought it if I wanted. I saw it come back in the middle of last summer and decided it's not an impulse buy anymore. I love it. It's beautiful and I get complements every time I wear it. The cut, fabric, and color are timeless.

Black watch tartan is my favorite! The largest sizes were already sold out when I found it. I ordered a 16 and it's snug. I usually wear between a 16 and 18 in tops now. However, I love this coat so much that I don't want to return it. LL Bean does not tend to bring the same colors and patterns back year after year so I fear that if I don't keep this one...I'll never get a chance to own it again! Might be the motivation I need to lose the weight I've gained during the CoVid year! LL Bean, if you're listening, you need to keep this pattern as a staple in your lineup. You can see by how quickly it sold out in so many sizes that it will be popular year after year! It's well-made and seems like it will be warm. I love this coat!

I wasn't sure what color I wanted so I bought both in two sizes. The blue was true to size as estimated by the website but I needed to size up to my dress size in the red since it seems to run a size smaller. The blue was disappointing. The colors aren't as bright as shown and you can't really see the green. I purchased the red. I am taking off a star because as others have said, the zipper is terrible, but the coat is very cute and warm and seems like it will last a long time.

Love this coat overall! It is very stylish. Runs a little small, I have LLbean parkas in xs, but for this one I needed a 6. It is still fitted, which I like. Please make the sleeves longer though!!!

I had been eyeing this coat for a few years and finally decided to order. I love the print and it's super warm. The sizing I found really confusing however. I did the true size calc on the LLB website and it told me to order a size 10. That didn't seem right to me, so I went with an 8. That was also too big upon arrival so I ordered the size 6 which works and still has room for a sweater underneath. I love it! The 8 might have worked, but it poofed out around my hips and it wasn't flattering. For reference, I'm 5'6 between 145-150lbs. Although I think it's a little overpriced, I'm happy I got it. :)

I absolutely love the look of this coat. I do often have trouble getting the two way zipper started. Guess turn about is fair play when my 45 year old daughter has to help zipper her 73 year old's coat!

I love the coat, it's warm and comfortable. The only tiny things that need improvement are deeper pockets and the zipper is a bit hard to begin.
