I'm another Altra fan (of Provision 6) looking for another option now that Altra's later gen shoes seem to have changed (worsened imo) so much. I bought the Atmos and Phantom and had the same experience with both: The size 10 (44) men's fit me better than my normal women's size 12 (44.5). The M10 felt longer and just a bit narrower than the W12, which was too short and a little too wide in the toe box for for me to wear comfortably. I can't remember the last time Men's shoes fit me better than Women's but I'm going with it - I walk a lot and the quality, comfort, cushioning and support of both Topo pairs is a dream for my troubled feet.

The roomy toe box is great. The support and feel of the base is great. Really like the black and charcoal color to wear with regular clothes. Would love to see a neutral taupe color offered.

I have wide feet with a high arch so it's difficult to find shoes that fit comfortably, until I got Topo!

Everything fit very well but the tongue came up too far and was very uncomfortable for the front of my ankle.

I really like these Phantom 3 shoes. I do put in an insert because they could be a little more supportive. I like to wear a thicker sock, so I did need to size up slightly for that. I am able to wear the regular sizing although my feet do run wide, so that is great. I wear them for aerobics class mostly and now have three pairs.

I really loved these shoes the moment I put them on, they fit like a glove. But as I started running in them the top part where the laces tie, rubbed into my ankle. I think this is supposed to keep the tongue in place but the corners feel very stiff and dig into my ankle with every stride. Perhaps I'm I'm landing weird but it just won't work for me. I was so bummed, I wanted to love these everything else was great but will have to send back.

I wore brooks for 20+ years of running and switching to the Topo Phantom was so easy. I wish the colors would change more from year to year. I'm definitely tired of seeing the same ones again and again. That is my only complaint. I love these shoes.

Needed a shoe with a wide toe box, tried the Altra's, great shoe but had some Achilles irritation due to the zero drop. Decided to try the Topo and am very glad I did. Feels a little stiff in the beginning but softens up just enough. Nice secure fit, no heel slippage. Use these for my daily, +8 mile runs and my long runs. Excited to try the Specter 2 as a racing option.

I love Topos. I'm 9 months post-partum (dealing with relaxin joints) & 2.5 years post-ACL reconstruction/double partial-menisectomy, so was looking for a forgiving, high cushion, & comfortable-out-of-the box shoe to re-engage with running in. I also have flat feet & a wide toe box. The Phantoms have enough support in the heel & foot to feel solid & not cause pain/cramping. So far, I'm stoked. HOWEVER, the color choices are absolutely terrible. Wish they threw in some steeze. Just sayin'.

I wear them as an everyday shoe. They fit perfectly this time of year with a light sock. Is yet to be seen how they may fare in the colder weather with heavier socks

Felt and fit great, but the grey was too light, so I am returning them and ordering the darker purple color.

I have tried these shoes on and walked around in them. I think I would really love these shoes, but a size 12 is too big and an 11 is too small and you do not carry 11 1/2 that I can find online for the phantom three.

These are nice tennis shoes who have a comfortable toe box and cushion. I was expecting more support than my Hoka's upon initially trying them on. After a few days of wearing I began experiencing heel pain/tightness. I did not experience this with my Hoka Arahi or Cliftons.

I love the open toe box! I was having issues with other shoes in that area and this was the first open toe box shoe I've tried. One thing I have issues with is after a couple 12 hour shifts my heel starts hurting which I've never had before

I suffer from Plantar fasciitis. This is the only shoe that gives me relief. I can wear this shoe all day and not have any pain at the end of the day. Please don’t change anything about this shoe.

I'm a nurse and wear these for work. I specifically choose these for the roomy toe box. My foot is wide. Brooks, hokas, Nikes everything squished my toes and they hurt so bad by the end of a 12 hr 3 day stretch. I was between this and trying Altra's. I normally wear a size 7-7.5 or 38 Euro in shoes. My measurements are roughly 9.5cm across and 25cm long. I went on an uphill and downhill rocky hike in a 7.5 and felt like my foot was sliding a bit but overall they performed fine. They do say these are neutral stability so it makes sense. I had trouble with the sizing at first and did two returns. The 7.5 fit well initially, but by the end of my shift my toes felt cramped. I sized up and also went wide to an 8 Wide. Those ended up being huge on me so I did another return. These in 7.5 WIDE ended up fitting perfect! So I am VERY happy with my shoes. My feet do NOT hurt in these. I took a star off for a few reasons. The exchange policy is nice, but it is slow. It's quicker shipping wise to just buy the size you need right away and do a return instead of an exchange. These get ALOT of miles on them per week. The logo on the inside of the shoe is already peeling off after a few wears at work, and the outsole has cracks/fissures in them. So I'm concerned how long they'll last me compared to the price I paid. Also, I was really disappointed they only have wide in light grey. They are going to look so dirty over time. Please make these in black wide! Overall very happy and never going back to regular mainstream sneakers!

I loved the shoes, but it has a squeak in one of the shoes. The heel was loose until I used the lace lock which pulled the heel in so it didn't ride up and down.

Love the room in this shoe, especially in the toes. But, I do wish there was a bit more structure or support to them. The arch is great too!

I usually run in the Ultrafly, but wear the Phantom for longer road runs. I would say the upper fits nearly identically between the two shoes. While not marketed as a stability shoe, the Phantom 2 had the same rigid heel counter that the Ultrafly does, so functioned well as a stability shoe. The Phantom 3 has a softer and smaller heel counter (a change I really wish they had not made), but still manages to provide enough support for me, even if not ideal. Topo should really consider bringing back the firmer heel counter on the Phantom, or making a separate stability shoe with higher cushion for long runs. Basically, I want this shoe to be a cushier version of the Ultrafly. The Phantom 2 was that, and the Phantom 3 still sort of is, and I hope Topo will not take the next generation further from that core. #sweepstakes

Just not the right shoe for me. Wide toe box and narrow heel were good. Too short when compared to the other size 8 shoes I tried - especially with my solid orthotics. A half size up wouldn't have done it in my case. Very nice looking though.

I loved my Phantom 2s. Perfect for my feet, wide toe box and the plush cushioning was amazing. I was excited to wear my new Phantom 3s today but was quite surprised they felt so different. Not as cushy/plush as the 2s. They were actually hurting my feet a bit they felt so hard. The arch was also hitting the wrong spot on my right foot. I will give them another shot but I'm not sure they'll work for me. I really loved that ultra plush feeling.

Bad bunion. Walk on roads, hard to say if I should go up a half size? They held up a long time. The wide toe box is great for my left foot. I only wear these and sandals for shoes. Plan to try a more hiking one next time as I have had 4 pairs so far. Very loyal customer.
