When I put these shoes on, all I could keep saying is "Wow". I bought a pair of 11 1/2 Wide. The toe box was perfect in both width and height. It was as if these shoes were molded for my feet. I have a Taylor's Bunion and Bursitis. When I wear these shoes I don't notice those issues anymore Topo - Don't change anything! These are the best shoes ever.

These shoes are so comfortable. I could walk on air and wouldn't know the difference. I was looking for a day hiking shoe as comfortable as my old TrekSta shoes, which were the best fitting, comfortable shoes I've ever had. TrekSta went out of business several years ago. These are better. Is it the extra toe room, or the low heel to toe slope? I don't know. They are just so comfortable that I started wearing them all the time.

I wear these all the time except when I occasionally where your waterproof boots. Great for hiking. Extremely comfortable. Appropriate room in the forefoot but nice and tight in the heel. Great grip. Can't give them a high enough recommendation I am on my third pair.

I've been getting back into running trail since my little girl has turned two this year and im taking advantage of the time that's becoming available. #sweepstakes. I previously ran altra lone peaks for the past 8 yrs but I decided to give Topos a try and they are definitely filling the void. I love the grip on the soles, the highly breathable mesh and the fit is really comfortable. It took a minute to get used to the 3mm rise but my foot adjusted easy enough.

I really like this shoe for thru hiking. I tried the Traverse but it was too narrow at the mid foot or "waist". The Terraventure 4 feels a touch wider or at least not so tight as the Traverse. The toe box and Traction is great. The stability is not as good as the Traverse which per Topo was made specifically for hiking. My wish would be to either beef up the stability for the Terraventure 4 or widen the Traverse to the same width as the Terraventure 4.

I wanted a hiking show with good back foot stability, with a sole that is not too thick with good traction. The Terraventure does of good job of keep the back of the foot securely seated, while giving a lot of room for the forefoot. The cushioning is just right for me- enough trail feel while still feeling enough cushion to keep the feet fresh on long hikes. The vibram sole is great for hiking.

Using for post-knee-replacement recovery walking. Also bought the comparable model from You-Know-Who for "variety". The features and workmanship of the TOPO scream "Quality" = details like stitched lace grommets vs punched; a contoured insole vs flat; 6mm deep outsole lugs. You-Know-Who feels "Mass Produced" with cost cutting expediencies. Can't comment on "performance" because my needs differ from yours. But if/when I need my next pair, it will be a pair of Topos. No comparison IMO.

TLDR; quality and very nice toe box. Spent about a month looking for replacement hiking shoes from a different company (rhymes with ultra); their product changed and absolutely killed my feet. Someone suggested Topo, but it wasn't love at first pair. I tried the Trailventure 2 boot, but my right foot disliked it. Tried the Traverse, but was too stiff. I gave the Terraventure 4 a try, on a 15 mile hike no less, and they were phenomenal. They shed water reasonably well, and have a little heel-to-toe drop.

Love the toe box. I thought I would never buy another shoe than Hoka. They don't have the toe box. My next Topo is going to be the walking shoe for work.

The TERRAVENTURE 4 is a fantastic shoe that stands out for its exceptional performance on trails. Designed to cater to wide feet, it offers a perfect blend of comfort and durability. With 150 miles already under their belt, these shoes are proving to be incredibly resilient. I wholeheartedly recommend the TERRAVENTURE 4 for anyone seeking a reliable and high-performing trail shoe.

What a fantastic shoe! I recently switched to this shoe from wearing Altra Lone Peak for years (and loving them). I was looking for a slightly stronger/stiffer outsole while still having the wide toe box, low drop, and minimal (comparatively) cushioning. This one hits the sweet spot. It's also a little more narrow through the middle, helping it fit more snugly, which I also like. The Vibram outsole feels much more stable & durable.
I'd also recommend:
Altra

I have 3 pair of topo's... I personally like and use the Traverse the most... Would love to see it in a dark grey with a 5mm mega grip sole... Keep up the good work

I came across Topo when I took a chance on a pair of MT-4s, which I liked. After they ran their course I decided to upgrade to the Terraventure 4s. I use these shoes for weekend hikes of around 10-20km. Waited a while to get my pair as I'm size 14 and they sell out quick! Super comfortable for day hikes in the mountains where I live. The mountains are quite steep and rocky, so the vibram megagrip sole was important to me. Summers are hot, so I also wanted a shoe that breathes well, which these do. And the bonus is they look cool, especially in grey! Also want to mention that Topo has great customer service :)

This review is long overdue, but all I can say is "Wow"! I picked up a pair of Terraventure 4's for a recent half marathon that I ran in Moab, UT. From my first training run after popping them out of the box through completion of my half in extremely rugged terrain, I never experience any discomfort, blistering or other issues with my feet. I trained on roads and trails, and did not have any wear on the tread. I'm excited to lace them up each time I run and I'm excited to try other models next!

I have about 100 miles in so far. These were purchased because I was disappointed in my other trail runners that fit too tight. These shoes have the wide toe box I need and have a more "planted" feel. I highly recommend these for trail running or hikes. The only thing I don't like is the extra long laces. I'm not sure what is going on with the extra 6" that isn't needed

Most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I have neuroma between my 3 and 4the toe, and the wide toe box prevents irritation. I have 5 pairs of Topos.

I'm 51 yrs of age. 5'10" - 215lbs give or take on my good days. Overall. I am please with the comfort of these shoes. The Rock plate saved me on some dry creek with plenty of big size rocks. After my 8 mile run at Government Canyon. The shoes held up very well. For longer runs, not sure how comfortable i would be because of my size but do recommend on shorter distance.

I have the V3s & love them so much even though have very much passed through the veil. I recently got the V4s & like them, but the heel is just too shallow. It feels like my heel is slipping & is not securely locked it which is frustrating because I LOVE the 3s. I see that others have found the same issue & I pray that the V5s can change for the better.

I typically wear the Phantom for walking and the Pursuit for trail. The first day I wore the Terraventure around the house they felt horrible. I use orthotics and they rubbed my left arch. Tried them for the next few days and they finally broke in. However, I prefer the zero drop so I will probably go back to the Pursuit though these are comfortable and I like the rock plate. Still don't like the gaiter system. Maybe if Topo sold some cool colorful gaiters like my dinosaur gaiters.

I was lamenting the departure of the Runventure until I found the Terraventure 4. The combination of a snug heel pocket and roomy toebox is unbeatable. The Vibram outsole is super grippy and there is just enough impact protection under the forefoot. If you have a low-volume foot, check these out. Also note the sizing: I noticed that Topo's US13 is a EU48, and I'm able to wear a 12.5/47. I'll likely give the 5th star after a hundred miles or so!
