I own 2 other pairs of Topos, the Ultraventure and Mountain Racer. I bought them for the wide toe box, the narrow heel, and the fantastic grippy tread. They fit me beautifully. I was excited to receive the waterproof Terraventure and took them straight out for a hike. Unfortunately, the fit is not consistent with the other Topos shoes I own. The heel on the Terraventure is not similarly narrow, and it has far less padding than the Ultraventure and the Mountain Racer. As a result, the shoe slips considerably for me in the heel, which makes them basically useless. I'm disappointed with the lack of consistent fit across models, and with the lack of response from Topos customer service (emailed 12 days ago).

I loved the shoe, however, it was received with the tread full of mud. You need to pay closer attention to the returns you get.
Unfortunately, my size was no longer available.

I love these shoes! I was wearing Altras for years as I've had mult foot surgeries and need the roomy toe box, but I've noticed that quality and fit were not what they were. One of my friends suggested Topos, and WOW! So well made, roomy enough for my cranky metatarsals, but they don't slip and slide aroundhooray! They have great support and I can work a 12hr shift in them and not be crying at day's end. I now have mult pairs. I feel like I've won a sweepstakes. Thank you!

I followed the size guide and purchased women's size 8.5, this being a EU 40 which is what I wear. I traded them in for a size 9, EU 40.5 which I thought would be too big but fits perfect. I use an orthotic and had to use my thinner pair in this shoe. The shoe seems "shallow" at first and using the thinner orthotic and thinner socks it is just right. The toe box is roomy, the shoe hugs my foot and the sole grips well. I will purchase again!

I have a hard foot to fit. Size 11 women's, with a wide toe spread. I have been an avid hiker for 10 years and I've been looking for a LIGHTweight hiking shoe, waterproof, women's (verses being forced to wear men's shoes), wide toe box, good grip, non-high top. All size 11 women's are too small for me for hiking and running (fine for walking) and I've lost countless toenails. No shoe companies make 11.5 women's, they immediately jump to a 12 once they go to 11. You also don't make an 11.5 (it would be great if you would!), but the 11 in this shoe seems to be long enough! I have worn men's shoes for 10 years, and they are kind of ugly for women and they don't fit me quite right. I have ordered eight different pairs of hiking shoes, from 7 different companies in the last 6 weeks in hopes that I could finally find the glass slipper I've been looking for for a decade. I read about Topo's from one of your customers on positive review they left for you, but on a competitor's website. I just got them and LUCKY NUMBER 9! I love them! I haven't tried them on a hike yet, but walking around my house, they are the first pair of shoes I've had since I've taken up hiking that seem to fit. THANK YOU! I can't wait to hit the trail in them.
PS I think an 11.5 could be even better for me, so please consider making these for us large footed women!

I can't wear mid-rise hiking boots. I've had 3 pairs of Merrill Wide Moab's non-waterproof boots, but (as others have also said) the wide Moab waterproof is objectively not as wide as the non-waterproof version. I have tried on so many waterproof trail runners and hiking boots to no avail. I was anxiously awaiting this WP version, hoping it would work, and it appears to be great. This was my first time wearing them, and I walked around Seattle (mostly on pavement but up and down hills about 7 miles), and my feet feel great. Had the wide toe box that I absolutely needed, didn't rub my ankle or back of my foot, and were totally waterproof in the light rain. Of course, wish they were cheaper and don't know how they will hold up, but so far am ecstatic I finally found something comfortable!!
