I'm an ultra-runner that does a lot of running/power hiking on steep, rocky, mountain terrain. These shoes have been incredibly comfortable and stable for all of my training runs. They're nice and grippy through loose scree, rocks, and dirt alike. Though, I do wish the rock plate was a little thicker. I've worn them for 20+ mi training runs, and they felt great the whole time.
I've tried a lot of shoes throughout my running career and once I went to Topos, I can't wear anything else.

I wear these cycling and mountain biking, even though technically they weren't designed for that. I have a large bunion on one foot that requires I wear wide toe box shoes, and Topos are the best fit for me - plenty of room up front for the toes, but nice and secure in the rest of the foot. The soles are grippy on the pedals, and have decent stiffness to support the foot. Would love to see Topo make a cycling flat pedal shoe since there aren't any out there that have a wide toe box!

Moderate distance training days, can handle technical terrain. Grippy outsole. Not technically a high cushion shoe but really comfortable underfoot. This shoe is fantastic.

This is my first pair of topos and I will definately be back for another pair. I'm walking daily and hiking on the weekends and these are the best for both, including slippery and rocky terrain. They are very roomy (I have wide feet), but snug in the center so your foot doesn't slide. Good support, but also enough cushion for long hikes. I will be hiking TMB this summer and I am feeling more confident now that I found a great trail shoe!

These are the best walking/ hiking shoes I’ve ever had.

I have always loved running just to run but never really found a shoe that has lived up to my expectations. I am currently training for a 50k and I finally took the time to find "my shoe". The roomy toe box and snug heel fit wide enough to allow natural movement of my forefoot, but fits my narrow heel perfectly and has enough cushion to counteract the impact of distance running. Because they are lightweight I have to replace them at ~250 mi. But they are worth it! #sweepstakes

I just received these and had to comment on how amazing they feel. Nothing whatsoever like my other hiking boots/shoes. It's obvious from the second I slipped these on they were designed for comfort and use (the inside out) not to look good like others (outside in). These are in a league of their own and yet they look great! I love the square toe, nice and snug on the sides for trails. BTW I am a B width. Good grip on the bottoms for rocks and such. I love the wine color!! Killer with my new Lululemon and Cotopaxi hiking clothes. I get everything I wanted all rolled into one - performance hiking shoes and fashion forward! Sierra here I came.

I absolutely adore these shoes! They are my go to, and I walked nearly 1000 miles in them last year. As another commenter said, please never discontinue these! And I also would love a more neutral/less bright color option.

This Topo shoe is so comfortable and supportive that I wear them all day. My feet are very picky and only accept the best. I have worn other brands but Topo has the lead with my feet.

Roomy toe, cushioned, soft bottom, secure feeling in mid foot and heel. I've walked in them for several weeks in Charleston, but really bought them for an upcoming hiking trip to Colorado and Utah.
I think they are fabulous!!! My only suggestion is to make a more neutral color option, as I don't especially like the colors, but I'm going to order another pair. Please don't discontinue these shoes ever!

Wider at the toes. I do put a different insole in for more support.

I have wide feet and a high instep. So, the selection is limited for me in general, not just with Topo.
The last pair I bought from Top was the Magnifly (men's size for width) and I loved them. I wanted to try a women's shoe.
These fit great and are great looking shoes. The low drop is something I want in my shoes and these definitely fit the bill.
I live in NYC, so I walk a lot. They feel a little stiffer on the sole compared to the Magnifly. That's a matter of preference, and why the 4 out 5 stars. I hope with more use the sole starts to feel more flexible.

I love these shoes, they are comfortable for short and long hikes, day or overnight, and everything in between.
I would love to see a standard Velcro gaiter attachment that works with dirty girls or other gaiters I already own.
My second wish is to have a similar hiking shoe with more aggressive tread. I absolutely love my Speedcross for the aggressive tread that works in slick muddy conditions here in the Pacific Northwest.

I broke my foot a few years ago. Other shoes have seemed to tight. These are very comfortable, room. I also have ankle problem and have not been able to adjust to the barefoot or zero drop because of this. Topo are nice that they offer a bit of a rise. These are only 3 mm and I'm still adjusting. I also got a pair of the ultra adventure. I believe they are 5 mm stack height. That seems to be working better for my to podiatric injuries.

Love the roomy toe box but the color of the shoe I received is WAY different than the website. I thought I'd receive a greenish/sage shoe but it's more like sky blue. Very deceiving and disappointing the colors on the site aren't correct.

Really like Topos because of the full toe box and arch support. This style for me was not supportive enough of or shock absorbing enough. I prefer the Ultraventure with the thicker sole.

Nice room for you splay. I was sent a pair that have sticky sap on the bottom and have early been worn pn a few hikes. The lacing had clearly been adjusted for someone who had bunions.

I walk, a lot. These are superb for cushioning across the forefoot, arch and heel, Wonderful for walking and running. The toe box wonderful once you get used to all that room.
However, these were marketed as trail shoes, and they are not. I took them hiking in Iceland and rock walking along the coast of Maine where I found they have no forward or lateral stability. My foot was all over the place and I felt pretty out of control. The sides and toe really need stiffening.
Four months later, the cushioning is holding up, but the tread is almost gone in the forefoot area, and one of the toes is coming delaminated. I used them for what I needed, but I wish more life out of them. I tried Hoka's prior, and the sole almost melted off them within two weeks, so I guess we are getting better in the foam dept. Can't we have foam with a thicker layer of sturdy rubber ??

I like that the shoe hugs my foot from mid-sole to heel, feels very stable.

Too much arch 'support' / pressure. These are my second Topos, and the other pair were more minimal, which I assume is what people ordering these large toe boxes want. Artificial arch support seems out of place.

These shoes deliver on the toe box room, but I have never needed a 7 in running shoes. I usually wear an 8-8.5 (hoka, saucony, Nike, new balance) but the Topo in the 7 is plenty generous. However my brannock size/mondo size is exactly a 7/24cm. So these kinda fit true to size but not in line with any other athletic shoes I've ever had, where it is usual to need to size up.

Used for walking, gym and hiking in our Utah mountains.. Really good traction! The blue/teal color scheme is perfect! The toe box is not as wide as needed!, A wider toe box is needed! Should be wider, like the Altras. Had to size up 1/2 size, seems to run on smaller side.
