Terrible fit. The shoe seems to be a size too small and narrow. I ordered a wide and a half size larger than normal, but my toe hits the end of the shoe. I have another pair of Trotters that fit great. Now I'm not sure whether to buy another pair. This one is certainly going back though!!!

Good Shoe - I bought this shoe because I needed to go to a lower heel due to arthritis in my feet. I found the shoe very attractive and quite comfortable. I will buy it again.

Comment about a long, narrow shoe - I usually wear size 10 in a Trotter. The 10 in this shoe was tight through the toe box, so I exchanged for a 10.5 S. Toebox fits well, but I find the shoe otherwise not quite narrow enough. It plops up and down as I walk. (I have put in heel pads for the next wearing and am hoping it provides the needed snugness.) The shoe is very nice, and it is good for anyone who wants a polished look but does not want to set herself up for later problems with feet, legs, and hips. Trotter shoes are good. Zappos is simply an excellent shoe store, with exemplary service and friendly policies.

Trotters Doris is a nearly perfect all-purpose shoe. Doris isn't the most attractive shoe you can find, but it's one of the most comfortable and is available in a wide range of sizes. The little heel makes this style appropriate for work but it is fine with jeans and shorts. Doris hugs the foot without feeling tight. It's perfect for a narrow foot, but you may need a larger size because Trotters run half a size shorter than other brands. The leather is soft but holds its shape. It's wonderful to find such a nice casual shoe available in so many colors. My only problem has been finding all the colors I want in my size. Zappos service is wonderful and the range of sizes they carry will make it easy to find the correct size.

At Last. A comfortable dress shoe - This shoe is exactly what I was searching for. I ordered a half size longer than usual for lots of toe room, yet my narrow heel doesn't slip. The heel area is a little loose, but my heel stays in. The leather is so soft and flexible. Fits with sock and orthotic too.

Pump for cocktail time - I only wear this shoe in black patent for wedding and cocktail wear and find it very comfortable since I wear sneakers the rest of the time. I had to reorder to get a slim instead of a narrow, but that may have been because I lost weight. I am very happy with these shoes.

Love the comfort, like the look - This is my first experience with Trotters. Doris is very comfortable, toes not tight, heels not slipping (when you’re a 10 W that is not easy to find). The look is very professional and only slightly more conservative than I hoped. Heel is practical for a plus size woman working a 12 hour stretch. This is a keeper!!!

Finally!! Great little pump. Looks very professional, and makes my frumpy feet look kind of cute! I wear these to work as a flight attendant (lots of walking and standing and swelling) and I love them. I've tried numerous shoes and this is the best so far. Usually in a pump and anything with a heel (no matter how little) I order a 9 1/2 even though I wear a size 9 in every other shoe I own. These 9 1/2 are a little too big. If I were between sizes, I would not go up in this shoe. I fixed the problem with some heel inserts, but next time - and I will order more of these shoes - I will order a 9. I did not order wide and this shoe is plenty wide enough too, because even though I have a wide toe area, the rest of my feet aren't super wide and I am very happy with the room in the toe box with this pair. LOVE THEM! Oh, and the very best service from Zappos with all the returning I had to do just to find this shoe. Thanks! I highly recommend these shoes, no breaking in and extremely comfortable!

Great comfort. These shoes are true to size and width and very comfortable. Great for dressing up or business attire.

My New Shoes - I have always been very pleased with the way this company does business. Because every shoe manufacturer's shoe fits properly, it is difficult for me to determine whether I should get a size 71/2 or a size 8 shoes, when ordering. As a result, I got one size and when that felt too snug I ordered the larger size. The free shipping along with more than sufficient time to determine which shoe to keep is extremely helpful. If shipping had to be paid both ways, or even one way, I would, undoubtedly, refrain from buying shoes on line. As a result, I thank your very, very much for the policies in which you do business.

Pleasant surprise - I have never worn Trotters before and I am very happy with these shoes. My wide forefoot was not pinched and the heel height is nice. They don't make my size 11 WW feet look like boats!

All day comfort! These shoes look great with pants and skirts - business or casual. They are comfortable all day long - walking in the city - they are they best.

Good dress shoe - So far they are as I wanted. I haven't warned them very much yet but I am sure I will. I have to pad my right shoe to make it fit; my right foot is smaller than my left one. I have had this shoe in black and enjoyed it very much and I hope that this shoe will be just as comfortable.

Just what I needed! I was looking for a plain, basic brown shoe to go with a pair of slacks that were too short. No heels. These were perfect. Very classic and very comfortable. The leather covered heel gave them the appearance of being more expensive than they were. These really fit the bill for me.

Trotters shoe the Best - I recently purchased the Trotters Doris and the shoe fits perfectly and a special looking shoe for my Grandaughters wedding..Pearl White... The shoes I have gotten from Trotters are always complimented by others..

I had recently purchased this same shoe in a different color so I felt I was assured of the fit as well as the look and style. I was not disappointed with my purchase. The most impressive thing about this order is that it was delivered in two days.

Best shoe on the market - The only comfortable dress shoe I have found. It is true to size and is very nice looking. Will buy more in different colors.

SO COMFORTABLE - I wore this shoe for my wedding-- and not once in the whole nine hours of standing and dancing in them did my feet hurt. That’s saying something!

Comfortable shoes that look good!! I now own two pairs of Doris Trotters. Will probably get some more in other colors. I have arthritis really bad, and these shoes are the most comfortable ones I have found. They fit according to their size, length wise, and width too. I would recommend them to someone who is looking for a good comfortable low heel shoe.

At Last a shoe I like and it fits - I have very difficult feet to fit. Had major foot surgery and I wear an orthodic insert in a very ugly shoe. I can wear this shoe (without my orthodic) and still feel secure. It took a return to find the correct size, but I did. Zappos makes it so easy to find something you like and fits. Thanks so much. Wonderfully comfortable for sore feet - I really was looking for something a little "sharper" looking, but with a bunion, pointed toes are out. I wore this shoe for hours on the first wearing and it felt like a bedroom slipper. The leather is so soft, it just molds my foot.

Comfortable shoe for a narrow foot - Because I have long, narrow feet (10 AAA) my choices are usually limited. I tried these shoes on at a local store, but because they didn't have navy blue I decided to take a chance and order from Zappos. They came very quickly and are comfortable. I like the low heel and they look good with suits, skirts, and slacks. Zappos provided good, fast service, and I would certainly order from them again.

Nice shoe. Very attractive and comfy shoe. If I can afford it, I'd get the rosewood red color too.

Great shoes! In the past 2-3 years I have had some trouble with my feet resulting in my being in an orthopedic boot once and a hard cast twice. I am now very aware of what I put on my feet and the support the shoes give. I've always worn slim or narrow widths and that is getting harder and harder to find. Love these shoes. I got them in bronze (which is a great color). Good support and so comfortable.

Snug but still fairly comfortable - These are very snug in the toe area - I think they're a bit shorter than a 10 usually is, rather than too narrow. I've kept them anyway and didn't have sore feet the first day I wore them for a few hours. But I do hope they'll relax a bit in the front.
