I'm not sure what this shoe is good at. In my opinion, this shoe is bulkier than it should be for it's weight (pretty light, but somehow still clunky). If it's a hiking shoe, albeit featherweight, it's sloppy in every direction. The soles are gritty, convincing from afar it's interest in a singletrack adventure, but the upper is built for walks around town. The mid and forefoot are to forgiving and the stretch (even after regular wear) succeeds in encouraging me to remove them all together. I just don't know what it's for, and it looks better on the website than it does on my foot. However, I'm in that picture so that may is to be expected.

Stain way too easily and impossible to clean without damaging the material.

Seams ripped after less than a year. Otherwise great shoes.

Not comfortable for wearing all day. I work for a large retail company and I am on my feet all day. I prefer my Hokas for all day comfort. Although indo like the styling of these shoes and wear them mostly on my days off short periods of time.

I had these shoes for a year a half and I always felt like I was going to fall over. They were also very uncomfortable when standing in one place. Great looking, but I would never buy again.

great shoe it is just to narrow for me its not like the Merrell I know.

I bought these because I love the look and my wife has told me how good Merrell shoes feel. I still like the look, but these are WAY to narrow and uncomfortable. My feet hurt after a day of wearing. During Thanksgiving I wore these during a family basketball game and rolled my ankle when quickly pivoting. I'm amazed I didn't snap my ankle. I've never rolled my ankle like that wearing other shoes. If you have narrow feet, walk straight, and are not looking for comfort these shoes are you you. I'm bummed out that I now have new shoes that I won't wear. Super negative experience.

The pull-up on the heel collar tore on both feet and the outside fabric by my toes tore open. I threw these out after 3 months. Merril makes great products but I would advise waiting for the second generation of this shoe before purchasing.

Wish I returned before wearing. They have a click noise due to the tread pattern. Tried wearing them to break in but sad I now have shoes i won't wear and can't return. Would skip this model.

While I do like the look of these shoes, they just aren't very comfortable. They completely lack ventilation and the heel of the shoes does not stay on your foot.

I bought these sneakers hoping for a well-built shoe that would provide the support I need while looking very sharp. Unfortunately, these shoes are a terrible disappointment! While they do indeed look sharp, they are constructed of a flimsy material and provide absolutely no support whatsoever. I am very disappointed in Merrell, to which I've been a loyal customer for some time now, for not providing a quality shoe.

had these only for a couple of weeks, and only wore them a few times and the seam around the front outer portion of the foot started to separate. very disappointed since all of my other merrells have held up well.

They are ok. Feel kind of flimsy and cheap for a brand name like Merrel

Comfortable shoe but the sole is seperating at the toe of both shoes after only 1 hike.

Looks great and is fine in daily life. However, when hiking in virtually any condition the shoe slips due to the design of the sole/soul/whatever. Your feet will slide left and right like crazy especially in snow and mud. Still better than most, came to the site to different pair so the experience has not prevented me from anything.

Lower quality than I expict from Merrill, size is just right. Great color (looks) and support (feel)

This is the first pair of Merrell's that I have not met my expectations. Perhaps I did not pay close enough attention to the photograph in the printed catalogue from which I placed my order; however, I did not like to appearance of the shoes when I saw them in person. The size was right and they were comfortable, so I wore them hoping that I might change my mind, but in the end decided to give them away.

Great looking and well made as I would expect from Merrell but very uncomfortable. I have several pairs of Merrels from hiking to casual shoes and I really like the way they fit and feel. This pair is the exception! The look and feel retro, the foot bed is as hard as most dress shoes.

I purchased a pair of Alpine Sneaker Sports several months ago. Sadly, I've only worn them a few times, as they are extremely uncomfortable! The ridges on the outsole can be felt with every step taken. Terrible design, in my opinion. I'll relegate these shoes to lawn mowing duty, but they may not be comfortable for that, either. I'll probably have to donate them --or toss them in the trash.

Quality is poor. No Achilles heel support. Bad design. Will never buy again. This shoe is garbage. Now I know why it was on sale.

If it's a men's shoe why is it trimmed in pink? Is it that hard to understand the implications. I would have purchased it but for this inane decoration! Who designs these things? What is the point?

I returned these shoes after trying them on and walking on our wood floors. The tread design of the sole made walking on our wood floors so loud and squeaky that my wife immediately said you will either return these shoes or never wear them in the house

I bought this style new i try it at home its not good i was really disappointed At All its not comfortable

Nylon frayed at seams within a couple weeks- too bad such sharp looking kicks didn't last longer.

I returned these as I needed more cushioning. Too bad. Liked the look.
