They are cute shoes, nice style, comfortable, and seems rugged. My only complaint is that even though they offer a Wide size and the ball of the foot is plenty wide, the toes taper to such a narrow size, it's like wearing ladies' pumps. It's bunyon-ville. I wore them for too long before I realized how much it would bother me to return them, so I'll end up donating them somewhere probably. It's a bummer. A wide foot isn't just wide in the ball of the foot-- the toes head out from there in a straight line, not an acute angle!

I'll start off with the negative. The foot bed does not provide enough cushion towards the front. But I realize this is one of the less expensive shoes. The fit is great. Merrell is the only manufacturer that has a wide selection for my size 15's. I have a narrow foot and Medium fits me like a glove. The design of all of Merrell's shoes are appealing. And their prices are reasonable. I am a fan of this manufacturer. As for boots and other Merrell shoes I've purchased, they were all 5 star.

Good shoe and good looking, just wish it came in a wide size.

I have been wearing Merrell casual shoes and boots for nearly two decades and have always found the shoes to fit true to size (roomier toe boxes for casual shoes and more snug fit for boots), but I find this newcomer to the lineup is quite a bit longer than expected. I didn't fully realize this when I took the shoes out of the box but after a few days of walking on asphalt and trails, I wished that I would have gone down a half size. While the color style I selected is unusually identified as "Ebony," it is actually navy blue contrasted with light blue with Merrell orange accents--a splashy color scheme that complements the Euro-retro style of a sharp-looking Alpine sneaker.

Toe box much too small. Thin feet might fit better in these

It's a comfortable shoe, especially I appreciate the bottom support. However, it's only been a few weeks that I'm using it, the stitches on the right front side of the shoe have started to come undone.

No real ankle support. Feels good on my feet but it's like being wrapped in a napkin.

I have the multicolor. Very comfortable and lightweight. I haven't worn them much. Got them a bit dusty in the yard so I wiped them down with a damp rag to get the dirt off. The color bled out of them and they look very dull now.

Sharp looking shoes and I've received a few compliments on them but, as others have stated, they are very narrow and not the most comfortable to wear. Also, walking on wet concrete with these shoes is pretty much the equivalent of walking on glare ice with regular shoes - very slippery and, with the ND winter, has limited how much I've worn them so far which is too bad.

Given the color of the shoes, you should have matched the shoelaces with the colors. The white just looks out of place. I am getting red and light blue to match.

The sole of this shoe did not even last a year before wearing out. I used them for everyday walking not hiking.

This is a great shoe, unless you are walking on wet concrete, in which case be very careful. The tread doesn't mix well with wet concrete and it is very slippery.

Comfortable and fit true to size. However, they do not breathe and are very hot. I likely won’t buy another pair even though I love the style and fit.

I have multiple pairs of the alpine. These are way too snug. They won't stretch out either.

I wish I had returned these things, but circumstances didn’t allow it. They did fit whatsoever. I have never had an issue with the several pairs of Merrill’s I have previously owned either.

Rather slippery on wet stones, such as most streets in Europe. After a heavy rain in Italy they are actually blue not black. Nice and light weight tho, not much to the shoe, mostly just the sole.
