i usually wear M size, but this shoe was too narrow

I wanted to love these shoes. I have several other pairs of Merrells and bought these to wear to work. They are incredibly comfy, but after less than 3 months, the seams are ripping and the rubber is falling apart.

I purchased 3 pairs in different colors. One pair, the multi color has already ripped at one of the seams !!! Sure hope the other two pairs hold up better !

These shoes are insanely comfortable and incredibly cute...and virtually impossible to clean. I love them, I really do, but I've tried *everything* to clean them and they stain too easily. I mean, all I did was wear them outside while taking my son to school and they got a tiny bit of dirt on them and basically look filthy now. Lesson learned.

Love the style and look of the shoe. Does not fit like my other Merrell shoes. Runs narrow. I wish I sized a half size up.

I thought these sneakers were really cute and had recently bought some Merrell trail shoes that fit very well and are great for walking, so I ordered the Alpine sneaker in the same size, my usual size six. They were too small--very tight across the front of my foot. The Merrell rep on chat advised a 1/2 size increase. Unfortunately, the new pair feels just as tight up front. The shoe is rather tapered for a sneaker and much too snug in front for my stubby (but medium width) little foot. I'll have to return these.

They were not as comfortable as my other pair of rainbow shoes

I loved the multi color and they were comfortable out of the box, but I was heartbroken by how fast they fell apart. In less than an month the front edge came off, in three months the inner soles collapsed and I couldn't walk in them without pain...it felt especially fast due to the fact that it's pandemic times and I'm barely going anywhere, much less putting on shoes most days. I'm hoping it's just my pair that was defective, but in the future I think I'll stay away from the softer sole models. I'm so disappointed though...I love their look.

These shoes fit great and are comfortable right out of the box. BUT the traction in the snow is pathetic. It you walk straight up a hill you will be ok but the way the tread is shaped, they slide all over to the side which is terrifying on ice and snow. They should be called "city sneakers" not Alpine Sneakers.

These are great shoes for people who have to stand for long periods, but don't ever walk on a smooth floor once they are wet. I have slipped and fallen several times going into stores with tile floors and my own house on hardwood.

The heal is loose, and it feels like my right foot slumps inward. I love the look, but haven't warn them sadly.

The fit was not like my last pair of Merrells. They proved to be very uncomfortable when walking on steep, rocky hills. They are comfortable on paved walkways though.

Hi. I bought this shoe two weeks ago. I thought it was very cool looking and when I got it it was. It was also very light weight and seemed well constructed. But when I put it on, both shoes were too narrow. I could not wear them. They had to go back.

I purchased the Alpine in black. I love the look and quality materials. They appear to be a sturdy shoe. Around the heel is heavenly.... absolutely no break in needed, no rubbing or tight feeling. I have been wearing Merriells for at least 10 years with great success on my narrow, shallow feet, however the Alpine sneaker feels like my heels are elevated above the toes. I purchased to walk and have only been using here and there concerned about the effect of the heel lift on my feet, knees or hips. For reference I am 5'3" and 105 lbs 60 yr old and fit.

Runs slightly large, gaps around ankles but tight around toes, arch support is adequate but after initial try-on and a few daily walks (an hour duration), I cannot wait to take these off. I suppose they're okay for errands but not for serious walking. Mediocre.

Cute sneaker but nor enough support for trail. Bottom is narrow at the heel and my foot rocks to the inside. I walk 6 miles daily on a gravel road and had to quit wearing them because of this.
