Hey all! Tnis shoe is really unique in that it's got a lot of style and also is very functional and comfortable. I have wide feet w high arches, usually prefer keens, but got these on sale to try- tney are a half size large as my usual seven was way too long. The 6.5 was shorter, better fit overalll. I wouldn't hike in these because I feel like the outside is made of that suede type material tnat would just look wrecked after maybe a couple muddy outings. I got these to wear to work as a nurse- the black are really nice looking and the purple/real at first seemed too young for me with the bright laces, no worries I got navy laces and now tney look much better! I recommend these for people who want an indoor/ outdoor shoe or casual shoe for town- rugged but more refined than a traditional low hiker.

Not sure about "light hikes" but definitely nice for easy walks and casual wear.

I actually like these despite trying the mid version and not liking those. I will wear these to work not to hike- these don't seem near god enough for hiking in terms of cushioning, stability or overall rugged construction for trails and rocky terrain. But, the style is really great and the quality is solid too- Merrill did a good job with these. Also I got on sale I wouldn't pay full price for these- def half size large as my usual 7 were too long- and these are narrow for wide feet so keep tnat in mind.

These shoes are great! When I first tried them on I wasn't sure if they were going to be too stiff or provide enough support for my high arches. I can say from the middle of my foot to the heel they feel amazing. The toe box is a little narrow for me but not where I would return them. I also have tiny feet with a really wide front foot which makes finding shoes really hard. They run a little big compared to regular Merrell's but this was not an issue for me.

Based on other reviews, I ordered a half-size down and they fit just fine. I have a wide foot and it was no problem. The tread is a little chunky, so I did trip once but I'm used to them now. Perfect for quick errands in wet Portland fall weather without having to wear a rain boot or hiking shoe.

These were very cushy but not super supportive side-to-side. Some arch support, but not much. I wasn’t in love, so these had to go back.

These were adorable and I really wanted them to work. As per other reviewers I got a half size smaller than I usually wear. I was disappointed that the arch hit my foot in the wrong place so I sent them back

These Merrell’s run REALLY large! I generally wear a women’s size 9 and the Alpine was almost an inch longer than my foot in the toe area. I’m going to reorder a size down and hope for the best. Super cute sneaker, though!

I have narrow feet but when I use the filter for it, it just takes away my options. I rely on reviews and when I read these ran narrow, l thought I would give them a try. They look skinny. They fit my narrow feet pretty well. I had some slippage in my right foot but I did my five mile dog walk with no real issues. Plenty of toe room for me! I’m hoping the crazy treads will hold up as I can feel the tiniest pebble in my treads and these appear to eliminate the problem.

I like these sneakers, but they are so squeaky when I walk. I don't think the squeak will go away. Returning them.
