I bought one to replace my toddlers diaper bag and she loves wearing hers. I loved it so much I bought myself one to replace my giant tote. They're great little backpacks and we use ours everyday. The mini can comfortably fit a 17oz swell bottle, small wallet, makeup bag, wipes, diapers, and a few snacks. I just haven't figured out how to properly adjust the straps aside from the shortest and longest options.

This backpack is amazing! It's great for travel and takes the place of a purse and beach bag. It can fit my iPad, wallet, 2 books, water bottle, and cosmetic bag. Definitely worth every penny!

I am a late 40 something who prefers backpacks or crossbody bags to regular handbags. I was looking for a small backpack to function as my everyday bag. I walk to work and like to be hands-free. I really debated about this bag because I thought it might be too small (fyi, there are YouTube videos showing what it looks like on an actual person and what you can fit in it. There are also videos showing how to adjust the straps. Very helpful.) I just took this bag to London for a week and I love it. I have a cross body wallet-on-a-string which I used for my money, phone, transit card, lip balm and passport so those essentials were close at hand. In my mini Kanken I had my guidebook, water bottle, samsung tablet, charger and a small toiletries bag with room to spare. It was perfect. The pockets on the side were not big enough for my water bottle, but held my sunglasses and my small umbrella. It was perfect. I have a North Face backpack which I have traveled with many times, but it has almost too many pockets and when I need something, I have to dig thru them all. I loved the simplicity of this backpack. The most difficult thing for me in deciding to buy this bag was worrying that it was child sized and would look ridiculous on me, and if it would hold enough. Seeing it in action in a video was very helpful, so if you're on the fence, go look on YouTube.

Love it. But it is called mini for a reason!

Adorable little pack. We saw these all over Norway when we visited this summer. Very high quality. It's pretty small but perfect for a child or toting a few things.

Very cute backpack. I ordered it in fog to use as a diaper bag for my 13 month old. It's just the right size. I can fit 3-4 diapers, wipes, a change of clothes, and a couple snack pouches. Very happy with this bag. It beats carrying around a big diaper bag.

Material was not as soft and flexible as I expected but it is the perfect size for small day trips and essentials.

I plan to use this bag for my diaper bag so far it fits everything I need for my newborn. I love all the pockets and durability of the bag. The option to hold either like a lunch pail with the handles on top or like a back pack is perfect since i am always on the go with my little ones! I also like that the bag could later be a backpack for my youngest when she is in school.

the perfect gift for toddlers. trendy, light, and super adorable. beware of denim bleed, the waxed fabric soaks up color, other than that, we love Fjallraven!

This mini bag is great. I originally had a jansports half pint and it was too small for anything useful to go in... The only reason I gave this a 4 on style is because to adjust the straps let like putting something from ikea together, luckily there were instructions! Know this backpack is mini, though probably could fit an iPad but nothing much bigger

I purchased the Kanken mini (in "air blue") for my 5 yo daughter for school. I wanted an ergonomic, proportionate backpack for her frame, and this one is PERFECT. It's just the right capacity for a kindergartener as well- just enough room for what she needs (lunch, a little water bottle, and the random packet of homework), which is just enough weight for her little, growing body to support. The only "downside" to this backpack alone is that you really need to purchase the shoulder pads with it- not terribly expensive, but Zappos doesn't stock them (I ended up purchasing mine from Fjallraven's online store). Additionally, shoulder pads only come in a very limited range of colors. Not a problem for us (we chose pink. Daughter loves them), but potentially an issue for a person who wants things to match.

I love my Kanken Mini! I recently bought this to use to bring my things with me to sleepovers, parties, on the go, etc. Although it was smaller than expected, it still fits everything I need to bring with me. I have received many compliments on it and many people have asked me where I bought it! I would recommend it to anyone. I can fit a light jacket, big wallet, sunglasses case, my iPhone 6, a water bottle, and some other random things in it when I take it with me on the go.

I'm absolutely obsessed with my Fajallraven Kanken Mini!!! I have been looking for a backpack that is small, sleek, and can still fit a good amount of items. Well, this is it! I can comfortably but my full sized iPad, a spiral notebook, a big wallet, keys, makeup bag, a 20oz Hydroflask water bottle, and more. Personally, I went on You Tube to find reviews, and seeing the size helped me settle on the Mini. The outside is sleek and simple. I have the Black and Ox Red bag, and it's just perfection! Neutral with a pop of color, so I feel good having it in any situation. The material is a bit thin and to start it's definitely a bit stiff, but that goes away over time. The handles are not the most comfortable, but for all the benefits the Mini brings I can totally roll with that. I love that there are two "slit" pockets on the sides of the bag, that i usually put my iPhone 6 in, and an umbrella on the other side when it's needed. I actually walked through a massive thunderstorm the other day, and although I had an umbrella, it was definitely a relief that this was water resistant. It was soaked, and yet nothing inside was even remotely wet! I was blown away!! Overall, this bag is everything I could have hoped for. Now I'm a Fajallraven fan, and will only speak praise for the Kanken Mini! Do some research, and if you decide to go with the Mini, you won't be disappointed!!

I've been searching for the perfect purse for the last ten years. I've had expensive leather bags, nylon bags, unisex utilitarian type bags, nothing seemed just right. My shoulders, neck and back were bothering me more than ever. Then I saw this mini backpack. I never thought I'd like a backpack. I've always associated backpacks with big bulky school type bags. This mini kanken didn't seem bulky. It seemed like a very streamlined, simple, classically designed small backpack. I decided to try it and I'm so glad that I did! I love the sturdy lightweight fabric, the thin unobtrusive straps, the fact that it zips completely open, and the top carry handles are my favorite for grab and go! It's very comfortable on my back or even if I just sling one strap over my shoulder, the bag still rests against my back. It's large enough for the essentials and then some! I chose the graphite color. Love the variety of colors, but thought it was best to go with a darker, neutral color. I've seen other reviewers state that the lighter colors can become dirty quickly. I read on the Fjallraven website to clean your mini kanken by hand washing with a mild soap and a soft brush, then air dry. No waxing necessary for the vinylon F fabric. I was searching for something that didn't exist. It turns out that I really don't like purses- I needed a backpack! I'll never go back to purses. This little backpack will last me for years to come! Highly recommended!!!

I ordered two of these small back packs for a recent trip to Disneyland; one for our five year old son, and the other for our three year old daughter. They were the perfect size for a day's essentials, including a water bottle, a change of clothes, a jacket, some snacks, and a package of baby wipes. The backpacks are very sturdy with heavy duty zippers, and wiped clean easily. They are small enough that they would be difficult to overpack and become to heavy. An added bonus? They are the exact right dimensions to fit in the basket of our MacLaren stroller without needed to be forced. The only issue we had is that the zippers are a bit stiff and were a challenge for our three year old, although I would imagine they will get easier to use over time.

A great little bag! I use it to carry my dog's paraphernalia when go for walks. It easily holds 3 tennis balls, a toy tug rope, a Nalgene bottle, and then some. The iPhone 6 slips nicely into to the external side pockets. Plus, it's super cute.

Great little bag for the beach/hiking/trips. Instead of my normal beach tote bag I thought I'd invest in a backpack so that I could take it hiking as well. This bag is a good size it fits multiple sunscreens, a light jacket, sunglasses, my phone in the side pocket, my wallet, water bottle, snacks, and has room for more. I'm a petite 5'3 and the size works great for me! It seems well made and sturdy, not to mention uniquely styled, worth the extra money!

These are great little bags. Just the right size for my 2 and 3 year olds. The way that these are constructed is just perfect, the straps are set closer together (in a good way) so that the backpack stays on their back. They are the perfect size, for anyone who wants an idea of just what would fit in one. Here's what we have in it on a daily basis with some room to spare. 1 water bottle, 1 bottle of sunscreen, 1 change of clothes, a small toy of some kind, school papers...so, basically perfect for camp/preschool, etc.

I had been looking for a little backpack for some time and happened across this one. It is really perfect for what I needed. I try to be as minimalist a woman as possible, but there is plenty of room in it to hold my wallet, keys, lipsticks, cell, a banana, a paperback, and my nalgene bottle. The only qualm I have is that the outside material is a bit stiff and the straps aren't super comfy, but it definitely serves its purpose well in keeping out the weather and holding my junk. BE ADVISED: There are a lot of complaints on here about this bag being too small. It is a small bag, as stated in its product title "MINI," (duh). If you are looking for something to hold your school books or your pet chihuahua, this isn't it. Though, it is a fashionable, awesome,and convenient alternative to the ordinary handbag.

This bag is small and perfect for an outing! The reviewer below probably failed to detach the straps to make it long enough for an adult. I love it and can see it perfect for a concert or anything. My only wish is that it had a removable cross body strap. I want every color!

I got this bag as an every day purse… I’ve been using it for the past week and have been loving it. My spiral A5 planner, wallet, phone, keys, and 33oz camelbak water bottle fit inside. My only complaint is the common one that side pockets are pretty small- but they do hold bottles of sunblock or hand sanitizer. iPhone 12 Pro max or my keys won’t fit. I have a younger child and will be getting the classic size as well for the days when I have to carry more than just those items.

Perfect little bag to take out for a bike ride, hike, or casual stroll. It fits a couple books, wallet, sunglasses, hand sanitizer and more comfortably. The side pockets are useful but items can fall out if they're not stashed deep enough.

Overall I really like this bag, it's almost perfect for everyday use and as a travel bag. I say almost because I would have liked to have maybe another pocket or two inside and I really wish the side pockets could hold a proper water bottle.
