Comfortable right out of the box (as they should be $$$). First day in the rain (drizzle) and one of the shoe's wetted out. Don't buy these if you want dry feet, you've been warned!

The best hiking shoe I've ever owned. Amazing support and traction. Ideal for wet and rugged terrain, bought this specifically for a trip to Iceland and it was perfect. Kept my feet dry, protected, and comfortable. Salomon is always on top. 10/10

I work on my feet for up to 8-10hrs at a time and these are literally god sent. Some reviews online complain about "over protectiveness" on the ankles, but with a sprain that never got better and weak ankles; that over protectiveness gives me the ease of mind that i am not going to get injured any further.

One can only hope they make this shoe in non-gtx with a speedcross outsole. I've been on a quest to find a stable trail running shoe with a mid that doesn't feel like a boot, yet is rigid enough to support my surgery ankle. This is it. And, the rocker geometry makes it move like a shoe. Did 18 miles with 5000' gain yesterday. This shoe crushed it.

The Salomon - Elixir Mid Gore-Tex was suprisingly comfortable shoe to use in office premises. I recommend it fully and it resembles the old Salomon Odyssey shoe form. I have to admit I was even surprised how well the shoe fit.

I had a pair of Salomon trail running shoes I purchased some years ago and used extensively due to comfort and quality. Was a bit apprehensive with my latest investment but I have not been disappointed by comfort and quality, highly recommend Salomon as a brand of quality and comfort. Recommendation go for one size above normal shoe size

Very comfortable feel to the contour of my sensitive feet!

I bought these to try them and to go on Trips where I need to walk a lot, meanwhile my friends were tired and they foot couldnt get longer, i was still geeling like I was floating not tired at all. Will be Hard to get to any other shoes from now on.

Ppl are gonna say "Hoka ripoff." I have tried the new Hokas. They, like OC, feel like youre walking in a pair of socks glued to rubber. Zero backbone, zero support. These do have some ridgity to them and support your feet, but also that comfortable oversized sole. Super comfortable and strong. I didn't get any incentive for this nor do I work for these guys. Just tellin it like it is.

I have many Solomon shoes, these are my new favorites. Like walking on a cloud, love the style. Solomon overall needs to design better color ways for all shoes.

So far I am happy. Light enough that you don't really notice them while hiking around, but you still have the support in the ankles. I am taking them to Yellowstone in a few weeks, we'll see how they hold up

An incredible boot that is slightly smaller than size states. Incredibly comfy, especially with plantar fasciitis. Gtech is brilliant. The fit is good and the comfort is incredible. Check out my YouTube channel for a review.

Funny thing; I've heard about Salomon but didn't really know much about this brand. Mind you; I have a hiking trip maybe only every three years or so. This year we're going to Peru and my old boots I wore to hike through China and Switzerland would probably not hold up in 2023. So I thought; I want these boots I'm wearing in Peru to be the best of the best! But how do I find the best boots in the market? Well, on Oprah's instagram I realized she hiked with Salomon boots and I thought; THAT'S IT! I literally got the Elixir boots because it was their latest release and most importantly; the very few reviews I found said they were SUPER comfortable! And indeed they were! I also think they're beautiful; I definitely wanted to wear stylish boots to hike as well and these are stylish for sure! I did have to switch to a 9.5 from a 10 but that's my fault, maybe they run a bit large? Keep in mind; they don't do exchanges, only returns for full refunds so I had to return it (they issued me a shipping label), get the refund on its way and meanwhile buy a new one with the right size. I used a promo code when purchasing the wrong size so I called customer serviced and they reissued my now expired coupon for me to purchase the new pair! FANTASTIC customer service, cool points program too, I'll be buying more gear from them in the future!

I bought my boots about 3 weeks ago as I needed to replace my worn boots - These are also Salomon. I am now onto my 7 th pair over the last 20 years. The Elixir are, by far the most comfortable ones that I have owned. I most of my walking on pavements so these are ideal

Purchased the Elixar for my first trekking adventure vacation. We trekked a portion of the E5 and were away for a total of 3 weeks. I ended the trip with no foot issues ( blisters, soreness, lost nails...) The Elixar provided great ankle support, grip and kept my feet dry on the rocks of the Austrian Alps!

I took these shoes out on a 3 day trip in Utah and overall they were great. The rocker arch support was very comfortable to walk in. I didn't feel like they had to be broken in at all and they didn't give me any issues with blisters. The toe box does run on the narrower side and by the end of the trip by pinky toes felt squeezed. They were quite warm, especially hiking in Utah. I wouldn't recommend them for any dead of summer hiking but anywhere in cooler temps or even with snow they would excel.

This is my second pair of this shoe - the 10.5 size was a little snug-thanks for shortening the laces the initial model laces were way too long

Excellent shoe and true to fit. If you have wide feet the Standard D size will be tight for you. I wish they made this shoe in a double E. I bought one size bigger and it is tight.

Had to replace the insoles immediately as the original would shift constantly. Hopefully these soles longer than 3 months as has the case of my last two pair. The uppers have been fine. These boots could use a second hook in the lacing system

Excellent shoe. But I wish you offered these shoes in a wide (double ee). And offered a wider variety of shoes in a wide size.

Little breaking in period, but nothing too lengthy.

Ive been a salomon fan for years, and these boots didnt disappoint. I was intrigued by the description and specs. Support is like a mid but also soft around the foot. I did a 9.6 mile hike third day wearing them, no blisters or undue foot pain. Great grip on the sandstone but watch out for scree!

I just made a 9 hour walk, and they where very comfortable, only few brouses in the toes, but i think was for using wrong socks
