I bought these for hiking in Costa Rica. Normally I backpack in my boots, and will do that going forward. I have a wide toe box, and narrow heels, with a need for extra arch support. I found I could wear these boots for hours and hours standing and walking. After my feet expanded for hours of wear there was no rub spots or discomfort. I did find them warm, and dry. This will be good for backpacking.

I bought these because I needed a water-resistant hiker for an upcoming trip to Torres del Paine, I'm so glad I did. Over 80 miles of very rugged terrain and the gave me everythbing I needed. Great support, traction and my feet stayed dry

The padding in the collar is so thick that it keeps your lower leg in a forward angle, like wearing a ski boot. Not comfortable at all. Would return if I could.

I have all kinds of Salomons (ski boots, hiking boots, trail runners) in 7.5 and had to exchange these for 8 due to toe hitting front. Once I got the right size, and got over the (white) basketball hip hop look for hiking boots, I have loved these - much much less foot fatigue than my regular thinner soled boots. About to wear on a long distance walk.

I have a lot of foot and ankle pain/injuries and I needed boots that had a soft and comfortable sole. A lot of boots I have problems with have hard soles and a mile into the hike my feet are in so much pain. These boots are so comfortable. There is so much cushion and your feet are supported inside as well. My first hike in them was a HOT and HUMID day, every part of my body was soaked in sweat and I did not slip around inside. I also have narrowish feet, they fit perfectly. I have no blisters or toe/feet/ankle pain from wearing them.

Oh. My. God, these shoes. I took them out after a full day of thunderstorms and torrential rain and the trails were a river. My feet stayed perfectly dry the whole time. They also have that lovely roll when you step, so it feels effortless to walk in them. Overall a very comfortable shoe, and definitely pleased about both the breathability and the dryness they offered!

Unfortunately the top ankle area is really bulky and isn’t comfortable and looks bad. The shoe bed is comfortable but thin in the toe area. Exchanging for a HOKA or north face.
I'd also recommend:
HOKA north face

No break in period required as they are comfortable right out of the box. The generous toe box is much appreciated. Love the cushioning, waterproofness, support and rockered soles.

These boots are fantastic. Comfortable but with exceptional grip and fit. They've just been up several munro's over the past week and I've never had one complaint, foot ache or blister - unlike the rest of the party!

I bought them one month ago because I could try them for 30 days if they did not fit. After just one week I knew that they were perfect for my. I have very difficult feet but my feet and Achilles have never felt better. And they make me move significantly faster...

These are a great lightweight hiking boot. I have usually steered away from hiking boots because they are too heavy but these don't feel like typical hiking boots. They provide great support and are comfortable to wear all day. My feet felt great and the cushioning was perfect !

I have been using these on a few hikes lately and they are incredibly lightweight, comfortable and have a great sole. This hiking boot is great for any distance and terrain. Will be testing the limits of this boot out!

Wow!! These are amazingly comfortable. Each step is so easy with the design of the sole. Please bring them in black or navy for muddy trails.

Been testing these stunners out at Sequoia National Park this summer and I gotta say, this is one of the most stable pair of hiking shoes I've ever had. I usually prefer the agility/grip of SpeedCross and CrossHike, but the Elixir is bringing strong grounding vibes and tons of support for backpacking or long day hikes. Plenty of room in the toebox, standard laces instead of the quicklace system, and a bit more support around the ankle than the CrossHikes. At first I was a bit worried that I wouldn't have the grip I'm used to, but with a footprint this solid, it brings a different level of confidence to every step. Super comfortable, and great for the variable conditions we're experiencing at higher elevations in the Sierra thanks to this year's snowpack. Still melting at 9k at the end of July = more water crossings later in the season than years past. This shoe is perfection!

I've been using these shoes on long hike distances. Early season brought varied conditions and I'm impressed with how they hold up! Dry socks, warm, solid footbed and grippy tread. I can't recommend these enough for people looking for a long distance hiker.

Normally I'd be a little nervous hiking in white shoes, but these shoes stayed fresh throughout the entire hike. They had great cushion and grip when the trail got steep and loose. Though they are chunky, they did not feel heavy as I hiked. I definitely plan on taking these shoes on more hikes.

I wore it for the first time for a 9mile hike in our local park with path with mostly gravel and dirt, It was comfortable for the first 3miles, however, the remainder of the hike was miserable. The shaft of the boot was putting pressure uncomfortably to my ankle bones causing pain for the rest of the hike. The shoes is not as light, forefoot pads were comfortable and seems to be waterproof. Just sad I won't be able to use it for longer hike.

I love these shoes so much, I needed hiking shoes and decided on these. As someone with bunions, it is a gamble ordering shoes online. These did not disappoint!! They fit perfectly, didnt even need to break them in. Been hiking plenty of times with these and they are great - the stability, the grip, the look, the comfort. love!

I like this boot. Based on reviews, I ordered half size up. It was too big. I think the 6 would fit but I opted for a regular hiking shoe instead of a boot when I reordered. I got a Hoka boot at the same time as this one and it is more comfortable.

I have been searching for a good pair of hiking boots for months, and unfortunately, I will have to keep searching. I purchased these because they received high ratings from a popular review site, but I regret it. The color is terrible- the white instantly gets dirty and gross. Additionally, the laces (which are flat and thin) are extremely hard to tighten and loosen. I also got terrible blisters on my arches from wearing them. Safe to say, I am very disappointed.

I loved these at the start of hiking season this summer. They are very cushioned, which was important to me because I sustained a broken heel a few years ago and after 4 surgeries I can hike in these and my foot doesnt hurt! They have also kept my feet dry. However, after hiking 10 hikes this summer, 6 being 4000+ feet of altitude, the tread seems to be wearing quickly. On my last two hikes I slipped twice on wet granite rock where I hadnt before. I dont feel secure enough to wear them anymore. Here in Maine, we have a lot of muddy wet trails even in dry conditions. All the other Salomon boots have very durable treads, why hasnt the company done the same with these?

I bought these after buying and trail-testing four other hiking boots pre-travel. They were amazingly comfortable right out of the box. Took them to Iceland and wore them on a five day hike on the Laugevegur trail. My feet felt great the entire time and the boots handled all types of terrainproviding stability up and down steep slopes, loose gravel, occasional snow and ice, crossing streams. No blisters, no soreness, and felt great to put them on day after day. The cushioning was superb; I credit the boots for my lack of back pain despite prior back surgery. Truly grateful I found these.
